Please put links in the description to other items shown in the video. One of them was probably the toggle anchor. I did not know that one till I read the other comments
Puts the same type of anchor back in 🤦. Basically, if you ever install a towel rack, ring, bar, whatever into drywall-- anything that is going to do anything other than sit pretty, but will instead be getting a lot of tugging and shifting (like a towel ring), the first thing to do is throw those crappy drywall inserts that came with the ring in the trash. Now, use a toggle anchor. Boom. No more issues. Same if you're trying to reuse the same spot after the crappy inserts ripped out: use a toggle
What if i used the large white anchor & it also pulled out & made the hole bigger. Everyone says hammer the anchors into a drilled hole then put screw in. I have holes & thin hollow wall behind will the wing anchors work? Thx
Howdy, partner! A large winged-anchor should work. They sell a wide variety of metal ones with larger diameters that will hopefully solve your problem. Thanks for watching!
What do you do if you already had those wide blunt plastic screws (that you used in this fix) to begin with and they ripped out a part/chunk of the drywall? Fix the whole section with a patch piece? Are toggle anchors stronger than the plastic ones you used here?
Howdy partner! If the hole is bigger than a quarter you may need to cut and patch. For smaller hole patch jobs, try backfilling the hole with wadded up paper towels or toilet paper and then covering in lightweight spackle. The metal wing toggle anchors are stronger and very large. You can probably install one in this case to get it fixed. Best of luck to you!
I chopped a few pieces of wood kindling into slightly bigger than toothpick size pieces, used a bunch of those along with a bit of wood glue and spackle to fill in the hole, waited for it to dry, and the screws are super solid now. For those of you who don’t have bigger anchors on hand.
I have a towel bar and put the two anchors on the wall with the plate for the bar and the bar won't stay on. I tightened that little screw under the side of one bar and started on the second one, and the bar just fell off the wall! Anybody have any tips for me??
Howdy, partner! Sounds like your set screw isn't catching. Try reattaching the little screw and you should instantly feel it holding the bracket onto the wall. Hope that helps!
@@MRGREGSHOWTO I realize it may not be catching because I pushed some stainless steel "Brillo pad" type material into the large holes in the wall that previous owners made. I think it is getting in the way I'll try again. Thank you!
Howdy, partner! Try holding the anchor with a pair of pliers and then reversing the screw out with either a screwdriver or an opposing set of pliers. Good luck and thanks for watching!
Sorry, partner! I appreciate the feedback. We just updated the original video with a link to some large self-drilling drywall anchors and screws. Good luck and thanks again!
He didn't even tighten the screw anchor in the wall before installation, and showed the installation of the wing anchor incorrectly. Definitely a DKDYI'er (Don't Know DYI)

A plier holding the anchor in one hand while I unscrew with the other is the info I needed from this vid to get the screw out of the anchor. Thanks!
You’re welcome, partner! Glad that detail was a big help!

Excellent. Thank you.
You are welcome!
I put in a few hooks to hold towels can't find a stud I'll try the anchor that spreads out inside the wall

Sounds great, partner! Nice work!

You aren't very observant. it is a different type of anchor.
You the man!! Thanks champ!

@@seekerofgrace2058 awesome!
I needed to know how to remove the anchor from the screw which helped me with what I actually needed- thanks

Thanks this helped tremendously

If not too big toggle bolts. I think 3/8" holes

the bottom screw was just spinning with the driver, and the whole thing doesn't look very solid at all

Basically....pick a bigger anchor for the loose hole. Not really a true solution if your already at the maximum
Yup, partner. That’s the easiest fix. Maybe try one of the anchors with the steel spring wings. Good luck!
Only true fix for maxed out holes is to cut a drywall patch
You mean a " toggle bolt" it has a name lol
Thank you!

Bro, you have just ruined the second screw (3:04)
When he was pounding it from the top, I was half expecting it to come loose from the wall again.
The bottom screw kept spinning 😂😭💀
Howdy, partner! It ended up getting a good grab! :)
With a bigger screw lol
Pull up bar 😂😂😂😂
