It's all improv filmed live. Wayne, Colin and Ryan have been working together for decades though, and Colin and Ryan were friends for years before they came on the show.
The secret to the show is editing. For one episode they'll record 30 or 40 games and just keep the ones that work. On top of that improv is a learned skill, you just throw yourself into potential situations and see how it plays out over time you'll end up with I wish I said that moments, but you'll be suprised how often that situation re-arises and you can now adapt the line you thought of a year ago to fit the current scenario.
To learn the skills of improv use whoes line games the best ones to try it with are scenes from a hat but you can use other games to improve your skills. Then pause the video during the game and spend an hour coming up with your own ideas as to what you'd say. After about 6 months to a year of doing that you'll find you are able to come up with ideas quicker to the point where you can come up with stuff in seconds cause you'll be armed with several jokes that can be amended to fit several situations you just need to match one of your already made jokes to the current situation..
@@sah_sook I didn't say takes, I said games each episode they play considerably more games than we see in the final edit, we just get to see the best ones. But also if you watch the bloopers you can see that it's edited with producers stopping the games and telling them to redo bits.
