    Agree with u bout the temperature, this summer has been too painful to work with clay, even though i leeched them many times but still they would become sticky as it's almost 80% humid most days 😭
    That aside, love the cane design, though i sometimes say looks easy but they are not as i end up with something different most of the time with ur tutorials 🤭 my cane reducing technique needs some finesse 🤣

    • @clayzoo

      The temperature is dropping in Korea now.
      The season when the polymer clay becomes hard and the hands hurt is coming. haha

    Interesting point about the boiling method. I can't get polymer clay to bake, and was going to try boiling.

    • @yrt66
      @yrt66 2 роки тому +2

      Water boils at 212° F, most clay requires at least 275°F. That's why it's so brittle when boiled, it just doesn't do the job.

    • @clayzoo
      @clayzoo  2 роки тому

      Boiling polymer clay makes it weaker than baking. Color fades too. ㅠㅡㅠ
      You can also put clay in the box and blow hot air with a hair dryer for about 10 minutes.

    • @clayzoo

    Why do you boil it if it is disadvantageous? I would have inserted a needle or a pin into the clay used for the spout to make a hole in the spout. A needle should make the right size hole.

    • @clayzoo

      I haven't installed the oven yet because of the relocation of the workshop. It was first aid!
      If you drill a hole before baking, it loses its shape.
      If you used an electric oven it wouldn't break when you drill a hole in the clay.
