The Door Slam at 01:03. When I was playing the 1998 about 12 years old, that scared the shit out of me. I immediately went to check the surroundings always. Nice touch to the music, making gamers think its something that came in through the door.

One of my all-time favorite Resident Evil 2 themes I don't know if this is been said but I'll say it this theme alone it's the theme that nightmares are literally made of such a creepy and showing theme especially if you play the game at midnight to 2:30 a.m.
My brother got this game on his 16th birthday, not even a week after this game first came out. Just a year earlier we had a marathon of going through the first game with 2 of our cousins. I’ll never forget the experience of us going through it when it was still brand new and not knowing what to expect
I occasionally dare myself to listen to this in the dark.
yeah, sometimes we need that rush of dread and shivers
I listen to this whilst in the forest I live 10 miles from where my home is in the middle of the night just to awaken my senses. I hunt but to feel like I’m being hunted keeps me focused. Having the sensation of what most would call “in fear” is the best key to staying alert.
....This was my favorite
I still have the double disc game
I love this one!! Actually I love all of them equally, but this one, at 1:04 it sounds like something tips over and falls ❤ cool effect to the music
1:04 when I was playing this game for the first time, I was convinced that was the sound of a door being slammed shut somewhere near me.
*"You got this."*
*"Focus Claire... Focus."*
Hated this track as a 15 year old kid playing the game at night, scared the shit out of me.
Born in 87', droppin that 87th like!
This track I play in dark when light goes out and while going on ground floor
Ah the old crash at the end, always scared you shitless like it was a part of the gameplay
Ah yes the sudden door jumpscare
I normally do not like or care for horror media (let alone games), but Resident Evil 2's soundtrack is masterfully done. You can casually listen to it and enjoy it even outside of a setting or context appropriate for getting scared.
Who played Nemesis first and then RE2. Knows who will be scared of this song
I played RE3 before RE2 but I found them both equally scary for different reasons.
**Music. Song has lyrics. smh.*
El terror psicológico MANDA
Omg when i was a kid this track gives me nightmares after playing it hahaha (born 1989)
I used to think 2:24 was the sound of zombies breaking into the station. Scared the hell out of me as a kid
It could explain why some zombies can be found if you get a certain item or it's Chief Iron's or Sherry walking through the corridors.
Best survival Horror Soundtrack ever. I play re 2 remake with original ost
I like that you can use original OST.
This OST was new and horrifying back then, now familiar and relaxing.
This and the basement theme are the creepiest in this game
Something you hear when you walk into a room filled with dead bodies
the real survival horror music
0:09 scary 😱
Jill: Perfect, I got the Grenade Launcher/Magnum now I'll be more armed
Nemesis: Hold my Rocket Launcher
This knock at the end looks like something broken into the door coming in to get you
And next turn HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANDS through the wall Oh noes...
Definitely in the top 5 of psx games.
Stalkersoup flashbacks
The door slam noise is TERRIFYING. The music picking up straight after makes it even scarier 😭 I never played the original RE2 on PS1 but I know for a fact I would have been scared out of my mind hearing that 😂
Do yourself a favor and play it. It's amazing
@@Fullmetal_Prodigy-03I’m definitely going to try, I’ve played the remake but I want the experience of the original
@@Shadow_Draws_20did you play the original yet?
The creepy backgrounds this music. The weird keys. The doors capcom go back to that please lol
The best song of Resident Evil 2
Reminds me of "Inquiry" from Ib.
All I hear is broken glass being stepped on. Perhaps a circular door handle turning but not unlocking aswell! :)
There go those damn zombies slamming doors again!
Wait a minute.. O_o
re2 remake zombie next to the safe with the classic music
who else played the Remake with the old soundtrack? (soundtrack swap)
1:04 I can imagine any kid being scared of this sound back then. Especially when they played 3.
dobra muza gdy siedzisz w pracy na zmianie nocnej… pomaga zmagać się ciemnością i naliczaniem VAT-u :P
This track made me shit on my fkin pants...
When I was a kid. I couldn't tell if that occasional crash in the track was actually something trying to break in. >.
And I was to scared to clean 'em!
Passed re2 original now just beat the remake, brilliant game,
