(2010) J.I. Burton at Clintwood

With the Lonesome Pine District crown at stake, the undefeated John I. Burton Raiders (8-0) travel to Clintwood to do battle with the also-undefeated Green Wave (8-0). Last year, the Raiders shocked fans as they blasted the strong Green Wave by a score of 36-0 in the regular season and followed up with another win over the Green Wave in the playoffs to knock them out for good. Will the result be the same this year, or will the Green Wave get revenge by defeating the 2009 state title runner-up Raiders?

@BigVOLdaddy Absolutely! In fact, I've already uploaded a scrimmage game with the newly-formed Union Bears versus the Tennessee High Vikings and there is more footage on the way from the Virginia High Jamboree held yesterday (Aug. 18) which features Union, Eastside, Gate City, and more!

@bigmack115 I will not be attending the playoff games due to scheduling issues. I will be at Salem, VA to record and watch the state championship games, however. I hope that both Clintwood and Gate City make it past their opponents this Saturday to play in Salem for the Div. 1 and 2 titles!
