Go to a empty road, drive slow and do it over and over and over and over again. Go to a place where you can stop suddenly and you're not endangering yourself or anyone else. The most common mistakes to make when learning are; Braking too heavily or Not gassing it enough. Practice is everything when learning driving techniques. Be safe

Good driving, but you're assuming stupidly high risks by crossing on the opposite lane unless this was a closed road. Save it for the track or stick to your lane. And it's actually more rewarding and challenging to stay on your lane, requires higher precision and talent.

I have driven a manual 540i quite extensively. They couldn’t be more different cars. If you can only own one car, i’d go with the 540i
