What's up Eddie! I'm a barber in training and been watching your videos for a while man you guys give me motivation to keep going. I'm from Rochester, I was on the wrong path and got addicted to opiates, was bad off for 6 years. I had everything from my own car, place, my own home studio with a soundproof booth, went to college for music engineering, and when I graduated I was working with several artists who lead me down the wrong path. I know we all make our own decisions but it was a "you are who you hang around" kind of thing for me. Soon as you know it I became opiate dependant and got bad. Crashed 3 of my cars I owned over a few years, lost my home, my studio equipment and everything else including my grandmother who passed who raised me like her son. I went through alot Eddie, and told myself enough is enough. I have too much talent to be wasting. Today I'm almost 3 months clean not even a drink. Back to working out too. I don't wanna die man😔and I have a 12 year old son who needs me. I decided to throw myself into a 28 day rehab. Then after that I went into another rehab for 5 weeks. Now I'm in a halfway house for the next 3 months and then going to supportive living for 6 months after this. I'm taking all the help I can get because then there no excuses. I look up to you guys, and have been wanting to get into being a barber for the longest. I just bought a Wahl's Home Kit (model 78524) and a straight blade. Nothing big, but it's a start. I can't afford much more than that for the time being so these will do! Hi Eddie, this is good stuff based on this I think you can help me. I like to use a trimmer to shave. The idea is to leave a tiny bit of shadow not like an electric shaver. I do this every day or two and the consumer trimmer don’t last, they dull out in a few months and don’t hold up, too poorly made. I hold them flat, not on the edge. Do you think the Gamma Hitter is a good option? One of these on edge like most of the clips in this review? Something better not listed here?

yeah, ive had exact same charging issues with the slim lines ...& the wahl detailers are awesome & have become my daily "go-to"
The detailers are good but I still haven't figured out how to zero gap em without cutting my head off. Anyone have any suggestions on how to get em right.
@@jasonkidd1689 ...all i can tell ya is mine came set up truly "zero gapped" right outta the box, & thats not a good thing, cause they were cutting my clients, i actually had to back em off a bit ...of coarse we all know that zero gapped is just a "slang" term & to be truly "zero" gapped would render the trimmer unusable & would draw blood every time they contacted skin, which these actually were... but after backin them off a tiny bit it did the trick, & they still cut closer than anything else in my arsenal, but no longer cut my customers... but admittedly, there doesnt seem to be as much room for adjustment on these as opposed to the gammas, the babyliss, or the andis...

I feel the Babyliss blades are sharp but are no where near as comfortable as GTX blades. And there is a stand available for the skeletons. I make fast charging stands.

After using the Evo with the Ultimate Blade for little bit of time, what’s your opinion on them now? How do they compare to the Babyliss FX? You are right! I wish I never bought the Andis cordless t-outliners I put the GTX blade on them with the ceramic blade and still no bueno.

I use the wahl li as my work horse And making guidelines, the Absolute hitters I dropped them and they broke LOL but overall you can’t go wrong with the FX , that’s my go to.
Whats your openion about Kemei 5027, kemei 1973a(or i5s) an kemei km129? Alot of people are using them with Wahl blades!! And which one of them is more powerful to cut long hair?

Have you ever took apart the andis slimline I found that my charging issue came from the wire soldered to the battery actually comes loose once it was soldered back no charging issue
Which one do you think is the best for the beard if you wanna shave like to 4-2 mm with some shades ?
Andis is very good, but price wise with performance I'd always recommend babyliss over andis.
Great video! I do think the Evo with the ECM gtx blade kit may be #1 even though I don't have it. Reason for me saying that is I have the gold FX and love them but my Renphos with the ECM gtx blade kit are slightly edging them out and I've heard from people I genuinely trust that the EVOs are even better than my Renphos so..... 🤷🏽♂️
@ivymaccuts which Renphos do you like? Are they the $30ish dollar trimmers which are actually $25 ATM on Amazon...i am on a budget and want to get best trimmer for $30 to $50..how do Renphos compare to Andis slimline? Let me know thanks
@@TheLANDSQUID yeah it's those, 100% than Slimlines in my opinion IF you change the blade. But you gotta do the swap either for a detailer blade or for a Andis blade. I have a video on my channel where I compare them to the gold FX Trimmers and talk about the parts you would need.

I'm surprised you didnt have the Andis slimline 2 on their. If only you could've substituted the Andis slimline for the Andis slimline 2. They not be on the radar but their definitely in that top 5 in my opinion esp. w/ the gtx blade.

I noticed that the description of the item mentioned that the trimmer blade was a Black Diamon (DLC) blade just like the P3 and Ultimate Blades. While the older Hitter came with a metal-type stock blade. I am going to see how close does the stock (DLC) blade gets before buying a modified blade.

The reason it does that is because it has a brushless motor in it that's how brushless motors work I hope this helps

Is there any difference between a Gold FX or a Silver FX? Simple question. I have both and I’m not sure. The only thing possibly is one the blades on both are different.
Gold Fx blade are thinner which gives sharper crisp lines. Silver Fx has a thicker blade which is good for debulking

Wahl cordless detailers are the best. Iv used everyone except the bevels. I use them for debulking as well too. Not a good habit but that’s how I use them as well
