Ethnicolour is one of the most incredible tracks he has composed. He pushed the Fairlight so far, it's still years ahead of it's time. Brings back lovely memories of late Autumn 1984. So glad he is still performing it. Also glad he still plays Cousteau before his shows too. Another of his best compositions.
I love Ethnicolour myself it's my favourite track by Jean Michel Jarre, but this newer version he did at the Dead Sea with all new crystal clear sounds and that dubstep he added to it is just badass I love it... I have been emailing Jean for the last 3 years ever since first hearing this new version of Ethnicolour with the dubstep and I have been asking Jean in emails time and time and time again to please please please do a studio version of that new Ethnicolour he did at the Dead Sea with the dubstep... but to no prevail... he's not answered a one of my emails about doing a studio version of that new Ethnicolour and to be honest with you I feel really really let down, I'd really love him to do it cause I will gladly buy it... lets all hope one day he does do it before he either retires or sadly passes away.
@@AngryVikingBiker Nah, the original is the best in my opinion. I actually can't stand dubstep, it would just date a timeless classic but if it works for you, great! I just think Jarre doesn't need to shoehorn his music Into techno, dubstep etc as his early classics are still otherworldly and years ahead of anything now. Tangerine Dream sadly went that way too after about 1986.
@@Ian-gw2vx oh don't get me wrong here, I have the original Ethnicolour to and I absolutely love it... but nowt wrong with a little diversity ya know?... I'd just like to own both versions cause me personally I actually like them both... but I doubt I'll get my wish cause Jean still hasn't replied to any of my emails about it... oh well *Sighs*... 🙂
Bring back Jarre with his older tunes, every performance is unique, a clever guy and massive record breaker, which he still holds the biggest audiences at his gigs, bring back outdoor shows where we can all appreciate, and teaching the younger generation who this guy is and does with his music….. Get them on BluRay his shows deserve it,
Thank you for sharing. Opening with Ethnicolor was great! Not only was it different than the rest of his Electronica world tour, but it's a piece he didn't play much in his concerts in general from what I can understand. Great memories! I've seen him in Paris, Israel and Montreal - always a blast.
watchit the quality of music has nothing to see with its age. The Bach’s toccatta is stil as good now as it was in the past. Ethnicolor is a major pièce of the classical music of the 20th century and will be seen as it in 400 years.
Using multiple sources and hints from Jarre's ex production assistant I've been able to recreate this version of Ethnicolor from scratch in my studio. Took just 5 years or so ;) This is how the track should've sounded had it been released on an album: ua-cam.com/video/8-KeNjilcrM/v-deo.html
Cette musique ne se déplie pas comme un livre d'images plein d'étoiles, où viennent filer les oiseaux, tourner les farandoles, claquer les crécelles et danser les sorciers et c’est navrant ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I love his music, the best ones are made in the eighties. I don't like his newer songs. Ethnicolor is a piece of art, more then 30 years old... Why did he changed his concept voor concerts??? Look at live @ LaDefense, Houston or Eiffel tower concert. Those were brilliant.... Now the concerts are more simple, no choirs or fireworks. In 1986 he used Houston skyline as a stage...
The concerts you are talking about are mega concerts with literally millions of visitors, and a complete different budget. These are tour concerts, here you would have to travel with all your extra musicians, that only were there for one or two songs. Fireworks only make sense outdoors, this seems to be in indoors concert ;)
Get in action fans, let yourselves inspired to build up new oxygen factories to save the planet, teaching mostly Kids how to save the veggies seeds to plant them and build up vertical gardens, smog eaters, how many vegetals need to be planted to neutralize pollution in lsrael? Angels of salvation are the most popular and most requested ones, think about it Ok?

@@AngryVikingBiker Can't you just make a recording of the Dead Sea and listen to that? Easy enough to do.

Absolutelly NOT all. Partly.
