As a Melissa main , the most annoying thing for Melissa is vengeance spell 🤣
As freya main that spell is true nightmare 💀 plus belerick combo fckin annoying ahhah
What I usually do is stop attacking main target but attack doll for at least some sustain and damage then go back to regular auto when the vengeance is gone.

Oh and a good natan is a menace (although I've never played him, maybe if I learn his skills it'll be easier)
I destroyed Melissa with clint use clients second skill to greater mobility
If you want a roamer to be effective you can always go for franco minotaur and valir as they can easily pull to the teammates since melissa always stays far away from you. And remeber that tigreal is not a good pick against melissa if she has a full attack speed build
lolita is a pretty good tank to pick if the enemies mm have high attack speed (also lolita can block francos hook or wanwans first and third skill with her 2 second skill

Without her skill 2 Melissa is just.... Melissa.... she can't even dish out higher damage with her skill 1 because the cd get reduced ONLY when the target is being hit by skill 2

she is very situational unlike beatrix or karrie or moskov. you pick these guys and feed them they'd be unstoppable even in late game because you have the upper hand

Lesley is the best counter for me than bruno because she has a higher atk range 3-4 fist skill hit and you already zone her out and you probably have atleast 80% of your health.
Natan will work as a counter for melissa as well
Layla is also a good counter to melissa. She has a huge range and can typically outburst or at the very least even out the damage
Well I used melissa once against a layla
Even it was late game
Layla can't burst melissa that fast
Melissa can close the range and she has better sustainability comparing to Layla
And I'm not even a melissa user just trying and that Layla was pretty good and Layla main
@@aljonloiuegomez84 Usually with layla, if you have proper positioning you should be able to land a hit or two before the enemy can get close to you because of her huge attack range. Layla also stomps melissa at the early game because melissa players can easily be punished with the 2nd 1st skill combo which does a largw amount of damage while securing the chance for you the escape (it has slow and a speed boost) if you cant outburst a melissa with layla its most likely because of the fact that you aren't using inspire. Losing out on flicker or sprint is a big loss but you should be able to lessen the pain if you have wind of nature (a must for mms unless they're composed of magic dmg dealers), haas claws and inspire. Each basic attack will heal you to 20% hp if you have inspire activated which should be enough to sustain damage from melissa once wind chant is gone unless. In the late game I don't see how layla could lose to melissa unless you dont take advantage of her range or she's already below 50% hp before the fight

@@ABlandNameyou're must be coming from grandmaster. There's no way a decent Melissa can't win against layla. Her 1st skill is uselfull to close range and remember Melissa possess long range as well she can easily eat layla with her spell and Wind of nature or just build damage reflector.
@@Sunwonpockezt @Yang.jw1 layla gains alot of utility from het first skill if it hits. Giving her enough movement speed snd range to avoid melissa's 2nd skill especially when used in combination with her second skill
All you really need to do is build warrior boots and drednaught armor for melissa's damage to drop by 50%.
In the late game its a 50/50 depending on who uses wind of natute first. But as I said from the reply I sent a year ago. Due to layla's range she has a slight advantage
Melissa's first skill can close the gap but so does layla's. Although more difficult to use it deals high burst dmg (it crits) and also gives movement speed which really helps when repositioning against her 2nd like what i said
Also no one builds "damage reflecting" items on melissa
I like bruno.
He's so underrated, he's easy to use and really strong damage.
As mm main i highly recommended use kimmy to counter her
What about Natan though, his basic attack deals twice though.
Melissa is much stronger than natan, in a 1v1 against melissa natan would be crippled unless u time his ulti to dodge Melissa's doll
I often use Karrie with Vengeance battle spell as a counter pick to Melissa
I have used melissa against bruno and for me he does get to bully her around but once melissa gets her core items, my core items are corrosion scythe and dhs and with inspire I can solo him tho it depends on the situation
just hide and wait for a wave. make a combo second first inspire. once first skill cools down get closer but use ult to utilize magic damage 😜

You can counter your opponent by simply buying first defensive item such as steel legplates
Irithel too. Move out her range while still clearing your lane
Karrie can also counter it just takes alot of practice her 2nd skill can help in early game
I personally don't have a problem fighting mellisa with brody.
He can bully any mm in the laning phase, especially if you reach lvl 4 faster,it's domination
Brody is one of the best choices against Melissa, much even better than Cloud and Bruno
Interms of heroes, i find heroes like Kagura and Nolan to be extremely hard counter of Melissa. Especially heroes like Kagura
Well for me i dont need claude or bruno to counter melissa,i just need natan or Moscov😆
Or you can use Lesley and keep poking her, as her skill 1 makes her immune to ger doll, if you start from outside of its range.

Laning: Melissa gets wrecked by the passive alone and if she tries to get close counter with the second skill. every time she uses the teddy bear punish her with passive.
Late Game: Getting deleted with crit build. you guys have Melissa? I thought it was 4v5.

Idk about bruno bc i feel like bruno and Melissa almost have the same level in Laning phase for me since i main her but claude is really annoying for me
As a Clint user you just have to be ready to dodge her puppet. Just keep your skill 2 ready at anytime. I like to poke her with my ult and passive

every 1st pick is me as clint and they keep picking Melissa because their Melissa pro's but i get 1st blood all the time and they were so easy to me that mellissa had less than 10 deaths

Kimmy and claude are her nightmare trust me , meissa depends a lot on windchant to out damage and survive late game , but with kimmy it's pointless , also kimmy ult late game hurt so much ,if he's 50% hp down she's dead . As for claude it's as he said . He can easily dodge her doll and if u go vengeance against her with claude it's ez win

Claude is pretty good at dodging melissa's S2 but he best way to dodge Melissa is actually to pick 3 MMS.
Me a Hanabi player: *Ego challange back especially if she is in a middle of lane creeps*
Thats why i lost to bruno while using Melissa

Melissa main here! Another hero i find annoying to face is Layla, tho she is easy to kill, her range and mobility is enough to get out of Melissa's comfort zone.. Not to mention her damage
Layla lacks mobility so what you're yapping abt without any an ounce of knowledge
Natan is my main, and the blink range for his ultimate with good decision making usually render Melissa's 2nd skill useless
Surprisingly Hanabi is a good hero against Melissa. Her bouncing attacks basically makes her a lane bully and she can just use skill one movespeed to break her puppet link

I dominate melissa easily with moskow 🗿 i am very nice moskow user, don't have thousands of matches but still i can use moskow perfectly and can dominate anything.
I would say Brody can counter Melissa, just give her 4 marks and when she's below 30% HP, ult her. Gold lane Julian is also good against Melissa. You can use enhanced 1st skill if she activates her ult, with that, you can melt her hp.
u gotta pick someone antisocial for her antisocial skills coz hugging won't work :')
I play zhask, and most of the time I am matched against this hero, the hero that has the passive to deal increased damage against summons, with zhask, a hero who's half the firepower relies on a summon and an ult that completely revolves around it, then yeah massive pain.
I use Kerrie and Zone her. Kerrie first skill is enough to counter her
I've killed Melissa a few times by using nana, but ending up dying cuz Melissa's with her teammates ;-;
I'm a Cloude expert but my win rate is bellow 50%
You can also use Lesley. Just scrape away her health and run when she has low health and use ult
That’s literally THE Lesley play style.
Not gonna agree with this since lesley lacks atk speed in level 1 where Melissa can dish out consecutive attacks on lesley, making lesley's hp drop first than melissa..
In level 2 , Melissa can slow lesley and hit multiple times with 1+2 combo while lesley struggling to run after hitting her passive+1st skill.

I have seen that matchup and only in the late game when Melissa has pushed Lesley out from under their turret and started beating up on the rest of Lesley's allies does this start become viable damage wise. And by then it's too late. Then you have to start waiting for late game dmg items to work up to two or three shotting her.

How to counter Melissa: Don't pick hero like Miya, Layla, Popo and Clint against her.
Knowing how to draft pick can save you from hard game.
as a Melissa main and a supreme rank ... I can't see bruno and claude most of the time since they always have to go home after the first wave. How? I focus on them first not on the wave ... that's half a life after my inspire. If they have a tank I'll hug my tower while utilizing my range to last hit minions from afar. I will definitely lose the early game if 4 heroes are ganking my lane. As for the belerick counter ... I don't blindly hit that damn tank ... that's why you have a mage.
If I'm in laning phase my Natan will destroy mellissa, although without minions it is situational because if I miss my skill 1 or 2 my stacks will be too low to out damage her 😢, but generally Natan is fine vs her and sometimes I get the steel plates or dreadnought first item.
How To Counter Melissa: Use Belerick And Blade Armor And Vengeance. If U Dont Have Belerick, Same Here 😢

Granger can bully Melisa in gold lane , plus Granger doesn't even need to get close to kill Melisa . I always go Granger if enemy pick melisa

I always use brody against melissa. Just use second skill on her and blink behind her. Stack and ult kills her and she can't do anything about it
As a melissa main,my only problem is clint(and sometimes my team ignore my existence when i need help '^'),he is the only one that can damage me before i do anything most of the time

As a melissa mono player in my opinion Natan is the most annoying MM to play against 🥺 against claude I can still win, but if I get against a good Natan, there's nothing to do 😮
Moskov can counter her, since I am Moskov main I can challenge Melissa as long as I dodge her 2nd with the dash and pin her into the wall if I can

As a hanabi main i just use minions to hit her and use hanabi’s passive to hit her and use my skill 1 to run out of her circle.
As a Melissa main the only marksman I fear is Miya when the game is too late.
popol and kupa can counter her, as long as you know where she will probably place her doll. let kupa attack her while hiding in the bush or when you see her about to use a skill, run to the opposite side. and when she uses her ult, just stand there and spear all the way.
