I’ve added a few CollectA’s to my own collection and definitely like a lot of what they produce. Not everything but they have upped the dinosaur figure game considerably. On a different note, don’t know if you’ve seen them yet but Rebor will be releasing two new Tyrannosaurus figures that are looking like the pinnacle of lower priced accurate figures. The “tusk” figure sports a toothsome, no lip grin. “Kiss”, on the other hand, is provided with lips and it looks fantastic. I’ve preordered a “Kiss” since I’ve got a battalion of lipless grinners. Absolutely! Rebor has some awesome work of late, even the Smilodon which is not entirely accurate but too awesome not to get. The T Rex figures seem to be based on the Blue Rhino, and both are superlative. The lipped one will satisfy many, while the lipless version has a sufficiently different colour scheme from PNSO's to be able to put together and still look good together. Being a Western brand, you guys will get it earlier I'm sure!
CollectA is still one of the only companies who have made my beloved deinocheirus! I find its blue and red color very iconic and earns its position as one of my favorite models.
Me too! Deinocheirus though not a favourite genus, means a lot to me as a kid because it was always the mystery dinosaur with the monster hands. Who knew how it looked like! I got the smaller CollectA over the larger one, or the Safari Ltd version. It seems fitting that I get the flamboyant colour for such an oddball dinosaur!
I'm quite new to collecting Dinosaur figures even though I had a few figures since I was a kid. And sadly I do not have many CollectA figures too. Excellent list! CollectA should be a lot more affordable than PNSO certainly. I have all those on your list except for: Daxiatitan Fukuisaurus Polacanthus Gastonia The Ampelosaurus is especially interesting, and in fact I don't recall any major company doing it. Spiky little fellow! 😁

My favourite are :deluxe styracosaurus (fantastic), deluxe iguanodon (maybe the best iguanodon figure on market) , deluxe parasaurolophus, deluxe carcharodontosaurus, deluxe mamenchisaurus, deluxe carnotaurus, deluxe jobaria...then diplodocus (love the pose) , brontosaurus, argentinosaurus, daxiatitan, ampelosaurus, badajasaurus, rajasaurus, Nasutoceratops, Xenoceratops, feathered t rex, baryonyx, deinocheirus (i have the standard one) ...ah the new deluxe spinosaurus must be great too (seems detailed as papo and accurate as pnso) ... I d like to see a good deluxe giganotosaurus and t rex (something similar to latest pnso and rebor sculpt).
Wow thank you so much for actually sharing your list! That's a really impressive list. The Deluxe Styracosaurus is a very good model! Unfortunately I didn't get because it was way larger than 1:40. In fact I found the Deluxe Triceratops too large to fit in with the rest, and I believe the Styraco is even larger? I was delaying getting the Iguanodon for the longest time, and when PNSO dropped its Iguanodon I was happy with that. The CollectA though has a head more accurate to Iguanodon, so that's a big plus in its favour. Have all the rest except for the Jobaria. The deluxe Spinosaurus is indeed a good one, although I wish the paintjob could be better. I would say that CollectA really has some nice sculpts, let down only by the paint application. But they are so affordable that the money saved could probably pay for a nice paint job, so it's all good. Thanks once again for your contribution! 😊
@@DinosDragons pnso models are of course of another level but i think they become too expensive...i only have 2 pnso figures bought 2 years ago, now for the same items they want quite the double of the price...I also love some papo models, great details and painting for the price even if often they lack in scientific accuracy..i like collecta because they are cheap and i can find a lot of unusual models. Deluxe models with a good repaint can be fantastic. Stock painting is a little bit cartoonish. Next buy will be some eofauna models ...they seems great at the right price...
@@DinosDragons last month a papper has been published where it's been suggested that the sail structure of Amargasaurus (and so Bajadasaurus) where connected with soft tissue instead of keratinous sheets
I’m a big fan of the collectA deluxe 1:40 Baryonyx, I had papo’s monster version on display but wanted something more size accurate and realistic looking, and I’m very happy with it :)
I'd definitely get the CollectA over the Papo Baryonyx for sure! I haven't gotten either, hoping for PNSO to do one. The CollectA definitely has much better proportions than the Papo.
My favorite Collect A is the 2022 Pteranodon Sternbergi! Beautiful colors and proportions. I love the charisma and personality of it.
I like that one too. But unfortunately it's too big and would have taken up my fast dwindling space. So many models, so little space! 😪
That Mamenchisaurus is certainly the best Sauropod figure by CollectA! It's elegant! Splendid list over all!
