Tacoma is an independent front suspension 'all round' truck...it competes with the Rangers, Frontiers etc...the Gladiator although, technically a mid size truck, is built primarily for off road...no competition, other than it's brother, the Wrangler.
If they weren't such idiots they would put an even better diesel. Engine and would be no looking back. The Gen 3 ecodiesel is already a fantastic motor best motor for a jeep... But nooo they discontinued it... They probably secretly work for Ford those mofos.... .

The Gladiator is full of problems. Overheats towing and tows less then all mid size trucks. depreciates quick. It will never compete against Tacoma
