Just got the Jpx 800 hd. 19 handicap and these things are life changing... Literally fly high straight and far

I am still using a full set of old Ping Zing 2 iron clubs (inherited from my father).
For the last 2 years, I have been looking for its replacement and have tried a few modern clubs, Mizuno, Taylormade you name it and I have tried it.. but guess what.. I find my old ping irons at least as good if not better than all the new clubs, in terms of , sound, feel, accuracy and even the distance.

Hi Mark, quick question I think might be interesting for a fair number of people.
I"m around a 13 handicapper... I"m not really interested in shaping the ball, hitting it higher or lower etc, my aim is to hit it straight and consistent. If I'm not so interested in looks why wouldn't I go for a set of clubs like the HD's as opposed to the JPX800 pros. What are the advantages of the game improvement clubs rather than the super game improvement club apart from looks.
a video on it would be great!

Excellent reviews Mark. Can you PLEASE do a review of the Cleveland CG16 irons and tell us what you think?!

Mark - Love all the reviews. Thinking about changing MX900 (about 6 years old) to the JPX800HD or simply the JPX800. Actually love the MX900 but I think the 'hit' is gone out of them a bit. Question is to go for HD or not. Handicap 15.

Mark, we can't see the ball in your video... Maybe you could move the camera back? Or turn the camera?

@TheeFreakiishlyz Ok, understood, no iron is going to make you hit the ball straight... however if I'm in the market for some new clubs and don't care about shaping the ball... why wouldn't I go for a big headed set of clubs that helps my off-centre hits (off 13 it's definitely not out of the sweet spot every time)... it seems to me that too many people go for clubs that are just too good for them just because they look nicer.

At pres looking at Cobra S2 forged and Mizuno JPX-800HD the latter about £150 more expensive. But as it is this yrs model Mizuno will fit where as cobra wont so would have to buy off the shelf. I think now fitting is a must .Any suggestions please. the fittings are at regional centres by club pros using mizuno fitting equipment

@allanpwilliams No irons make you hit the ball straighter and more consistantly (big headed irons will help on miss hit shots off center shots). To hit the ball straighter and more consistantly you need to maybe improve your set up, maybe your swing, the type of shaft you use, the grip, your hand grip and so on. You might need to speak to a pro at a golf course for a few lessons to assess whats wrong. Simply put, it isn't the clubs that make you hit the ball straight and consistantly.

With all due respect, these videos seem like advertisements.
These comments could have easily been written by Mizuno's ad people.
Nothing of real substance is said as to what this club is all about.
"If you want more distance this is a great club".
"It flies off the face" etc
You would think that constructive criticism would be essential
if you were truly reviewing a club.
    Nice shoes.
