I'm a (half)Thai girl growing up in America, listening to this song so I can sing along at the upcoming festival at my temple. I've been preparing for weeks now, Loy Krathong is my favorite day ever! I have traditional clothes I got from my mom that I'll be wearing and I invited a bunch of friends to come with me. This is the first year I've made my own Krathong actually, so congratulate me lmao
Yeah me too, I'm Thai but live in America since i'm 12 now i'm 14 lol i'm so happy when i hear this song at my village(phetchabun province) and my school my teacher gave our a banana tree Leaves,Banana tree stalks,flower,candle to make my own Krathong and go to temple with my friends,my granmother,my brother and my dad i'm so happy but this year and last year i need to Loy Krathong online at my home with my brother because my dad and my mom took me and my brother to Illinois (now i miss my friends and my grandparents so much :( )
To each Filipino here who are reminiscent of what they experienced when their school tried to introduce them this beautiful cultural festival of Thailand that is Loi Krathong, be thankful! It's cool how you get to tackle this as this is one amazing event that Thai people celebrate which is being very thankful to their water goddess for giving them water and giving back to her by offering her stuff that they make "float" on bodies of water. I wish I were introduced to this back when I was still studying. Lucky you!

I'd say it was tiring memorizing a new song every week but it was definitely rewarding at the end. It's also fun to look back at memories, like me, who is currently a grade 10 student na.
