I actually got a Marie doll at a flea market two or three years ago! The only other dolls on this list I own are the Kens... And even then, 2 out of 3 of the ones I own are second hand haha!
We used to find a lot of those dolls at thrift stores, but since the pandemic, we haven't seen any of them in a really long time. So, I agree that they seem to be more rare these days. I have a couple of the grandmas, but I never found a grandpa. I think the African American version of those dolls are even harder to find and more expensive! The most expensive doll that I have, as far as I know, is the recalled School Time Fun Oreo African American Barbie. I found her at a peddler's mall for $10. She is worth over $130 on today's market, but I have seen her sell for much higher prices in the past. ~ Sunny
I have the aa oreo barbie too!! I'm not sure how much she was as she was part of a lot that was bought and given to me as a gift. Her purse was peeling and her shoes were missing but everything else was Still there and the purse was even still sewn down to her vest! Edit: I've seen her go for more than $200 quite a bit
Every doll featured in this video I own. A few are still their original packaging because I bought multiple. As far as the Happy Family Grandparents the African American (which I also own) sell for way more than their Caucasian counter parts. You can catch the Caucasian pair for a good price all the time, but the African American are always 100 +.

I wanted her body to make my mini me because of the skin tone and she's impossible to find at a decent price. Welp, there's why! XD Mattel really needs to make another MTM curvy with the tan skin tone already!

The only one I own is the 2018 made to move dancer doll. I was able to find her at a garage sale two days ago still in the box! I felt so lucky because I've been wanting her for a while!
I have every doll in the video, duplicates of some. I totally missed the rise in price of the two MTM gals, I had to check that one but you were right. Another one that would fit into this collection is Jack Sparrow. I remember a short time where I could get him at rock bottom prices, then he suddenly shot up (luckily I saved one in box)
I have the Barbie Look Sweater Dress doll, and let me tell you, she is the most expensive doll I own. I paid 330 USD for her new in box in 2020. In the two years since, you can now only find her new in box for 800+ USD. If you just want her DRESS its over 60 USD for that! I’ve never taken mine out of her box because even though I don’t collect dolls for their value, I want to keep her in as good of condition as possible in case I ever do sell her.

I own happy family grandma and grandpa. I was able to get them a few years ago on ebay for 56.00 (24.99 ea plus combined shipping). Grandpa came in only pants, grandma came in random outfit. I'm so happy I own them cause I love them. I wish they'd do another older looking set. Thanks for sharing this info.
The dream house Barbie dolls are also kinda expensive I think Midge and smirking Raquelle are now above 100$ on ebay and Amazon nrfb Thank God I still have Midge with her original outfits but sold Raquelle 😢 Nice video btw ☺️
We had the grandma and grandpa dolls… they stayed as toys for the grandkids when we went to our grandparents. However, I received the box of dolls from my grandma and I found the head of the grandma in the box. I was very sad to find it broken cause I loved them.

I have some of the happy family dolls, i got midge and baby in box way back when they were in stores, (except she was the second release as she didn't have the pregnant belly) and recently i got another midge who has the magnet in her but the pregnant belly itself was missing. (Ah the joys of second hand dolls) also got the AA version of Alan, and the barbie baby doctor. I have jam-n-glam barbie and teresa, most of the generation girl dolls, shawnee and kenzie of mystery Squad were bought new back in the day, and mystery squad drew was gotten second hand completely naked. Dream glow barbie from 2001 was bought new. I've managed to get quite a bit of the movie dolls over the years, especially recently: the princess and the pauper erika, anneliese and julian, rapunzel and stefan, and the wedding versions of rapunzel and stefan, AA Elina from fairytopia, annika from magic of pegasus, Courtney, hadley and isla of 12 dancing princesses, the fairy queen and both black and white versions of Odette from swan lake, all the dolls from Christmas carol, almost all from diamond castle, and my favorite movie collection, all the dolls from nutcracker! Also have quite a lot of the original fashionistas from 2009 to 2012 era. So many of the early 2000s barbies have become more in demand therein making them more expensive. Makes it hard when you're an adult trying to get the dolls you didn't have as a child. 🙃😂
I have over 300 Barbie, Ken, their family and friends. Love collecting them since I was 5years old and got my first redheaded Barbie. I have a few you mentioned. Like the Happy Family Grandparents, Pregnant Midge with baby, her husband Allen, son Ryan, Doctor Barbie all in their original boxes! Good Job finding those twins. I’ve been working on collecting all the waves of these dolls, just paid $70 for a NIB 2012 Clutch wave Summer doll 😮 she’s almost impossible to find in good condition and her mint green eyeshadow and earrings are 😍😍😍
Grandparents set is what Grandma Gets Real uses. They are so cute! I wish could find the sweater look doll. A large number of my dolls are the Star Wars ones. I'm branching out though. Finally got Tris from Divergent. She is one of my favorite made to move ones.

Neat video! I actually have the curvy dancer Barbie, pretty sure I got her at Toys R Us as they were going out of business for 70% off. I'm surprised you didn't mention the fashionista 107 Barbie. I missed out on her and have kicked myself for not getting her when she was cheaper.
Happy Family Neighbors (family of 4) are number 1 on my wish list. They are soooooo elusive and hard to find 😭. Max and Marie are hard to find too. Happy Family AA Grandparents are extremely expensive as well, running between $250-$700 😫
hi kelsey, i always have trouble finding rare and expensive dolls that are like so hard to find or even buy. i don't own these dolls sadly. i would be lucky to find some of these on ebay, amazon. wonder woman signature dolls from the 2017 film (diana in her cape) costed more than i wanted. you would also be lucky to find some at tuesday mornings or 2nd and charles.
I have the cookie swirl c and the made to move dancer! Family Fact : When i got that doll i remember my family would see it and talk to each other about how they made barbies in a bigger variety , they would especially talk about my handicapped dolls like the one in a wheelchair and the one with a prosthetic leg (i got the prosthetic leg one bc one of my friends has one and it reminded me of him) Dang that was a lot. I have some several rare htf play line dolls like some fashion fever dolls or fashionista from 2013-2014 but the most noticeable and highly demanded of all is Barbie from life in the dream house. Have her since 2014 and she’s have been the stable doll of my life. She played huge role in my childhood so which is why i would never want to sell her
I have the Barbie skateboarder: i bought her new, when still had a "normal" price. Especially liked her thick hairs; the other Barbies I've bought were all a big disappointment: in real life their hair was poor, very different from the photos that Amazon showed! She has also a very beautiful and different face than usual, and in the package, in addition to the skateboard, there is her helmet. I add a nice detail: she looks incredibly like a dear friend of mine!
I have some of the happy family dolls midge, Alan and the grandparents were the first ones I got thanks to my late grandmother she was always helping me to get rare dolls on a budget. I just have 12 more happy family dolls to get to complete my collection they're actually my birthday wishlist since 2020 along with the kitchen littles tyco from my childhood which I never got.

She’s on Amazon for $50. I think the new Looks curvy that will be coming this summer is close to that skin tone.

Neat video! I actually have the curvy dancer Barbie, pretty sure I got her at Toys R Us as they were going out of business for 70% off. I'm surprised you didn't mention the fashionista 107 Barbie. I missed out on her and have kicked myself for not getting her when she was cheaper.

Happy Family Neighbors (family of 4) are number 1 on my wish list. They are soooooo elusive and hard to find 😭. Max and Marie are hard to find too. Happy Family AA Grandparents are extremely expensive as well, running between $250-$700 😫

hi kelsey, i always have trouble finding rare and expensive dolls that are like so hard to find or even buy. i don't own these dolls sadly. i would be lucky to find some of these on ebay, amazon. wonder woman signature dolls from the 2017 film (diana in her cape) costed more than i wanted. you would also be lucky to find some at tuesday mornings or 2nd and charles.
I have the cookie swirl c and the made to move dancer! Family Fact : When i got that doll i remember my family would see it and talk to each other about how they made barbies in a bigger variety , they would especially talk about my handicapped dolls like the one in a wheelchair and the one with a prosthetic leg (i got the prosthetic leg one bc one of my friends has one and it reminded me of him) Dang that was a lot. I have some several rare htf play line dolls like some fashion fever dolls or fashionista from 2013-2014 but the most noticeable and highly demanded of all is Barbie from life in the dream house. Have her since 2014 and she’s have been the stable doll of my life. She played huge role in my childhood so which is why i would never want to sell her
I have the Barbie skateboarder: i bought her new, when still had a "normal" price. Especially liked her thick hairs; the other Barbies I've bought were all a big disappointment: in real life their hair was poor, very different from the photos that Amazon showed! She has also a very beautiful and different face than usual, and in the package, in addition to the skateboard, there is her helmet. I add a nice detail: she looks incredibly like a dear friend of mine!

I have some of the happy family dolls midge, Alan and the grandparents were the first ones I got thanks to my late grandmother she was always helping me to get rare dolls on a budget.
I just have 12 more happy family dolls to get to complete my collection they're actually my birthday wishlist since 2020 along with the kitchen littles tyco from my childhood which I never got.
