      Same way as sleeve. Just different stitch count. You can see stitch and row count in this picture here 0:37

    Can you tell me if i want to use a faux fur yarn instead of mohair which is of 50g and 40m length, how much i will need?.. plz tell I'm having so much trouble in it that how many skeins i would need

    • @lerugicrochets
      @lerugicrochets  2 місяці тому

      I used ~260 grams, yarn length 220m in 100g. So you would need to count out the metric for your yarn. Its hard to say because there will be different gauge than using thinner yarn. Try searching yarn calculators online. But probably you would need a lot more than I did, about 14 balls. But I could be mistaken

    first of all tank you, so I finished up until here 8:23, but I find the sleeve too short am afraid it will turn out short on me, what to do please? am a beginner, thanks in advance

    • @lerugicrochets
      @lerugicrochets  2 місяці тому +1

      I would suggest you to connect the parts in their places (if you are not all done yet) with stitch markers or any similar tool (safety pins could work as well) and check if the length is right for you. Because this is made to be oversize so the sleeves will happen to be lower than where your actual shoulder starts. If it still seems too short and you are just a couple of rows into the sleeve, just start over and add a few extra chains for the foundation chain. Adjust it to your liking. Hope it helps 💕

      @@lerugicrochets okay thanks a lot 💕 if I may ask another question please, if I want the collar to be slightly tighter idk how to explain it like I dont want it be as wide as the sweater here, what should I do please? what change will be in the ribbing part please? (and will this affect the sleeve length please?) I will connect them with pins before i start connecting as you suggested but asking just so I would keep in mind 🙈

    • @lerugicrochets
      @lerugicrochets  2 місяці тому +1

      @@mehar5580 There would be an option to make ''the head hole'' smaller, is to skip the ribbing for the body parts at all. To be exact not to skip, but instead of sl st, just continue making hdc all the way. In this case you could make your collar just for your head to go through. There would be a reference for making it on another tutorial I have in my channel (the first one - boucle sweater), so the connection part would be more like the other tutorial. For this type of collar hard to make big adjustments. You could also try to thread a thicker elastic thread through it so that it would shrink more (for this way it may affect the length of the sleeves just a little bit). I hope you will find the best way to get there!

      I don't know about you, but when I'm done with my crochet projects, they look short. It's very stiff and itchy, but when you wet block the project, it gets longer, less stiff, and definitely less itchy. So I think if you wet block the project It'll help your problem cause it definitely works with my projects.

  • @Lunascova

    I did exactly what you said on the sleeves but its super short while im 1.60cm myself so im not super tall but i need to add atleast 10cm extra on the sleeves i used a very big hook so i thought that the stiches made it even bigger then yours

    • @lerugicrochets
      @lerugicrochets  Місяць тому +1

      The sleeves look short because the body itself is oversize so it gives dropped shoulders. This makes that the sleeves should be shorter than normal, but all in all it is regular length. If you attach the sleeve to the body with stitch markers just to see the outcome it should be ok. But yes, there also can be a difference in the size of the stitches. If its still too short definitely adjust to your liking! 💕 good luck🤩

    hiii will this sweater be machine washable? whats the washing process going to be like?

    • @lerugicrochets
      @lerugicrochets  3 місяці тому

      I wouldn’t recommend using a washing machine unless it has a very gentle wool program. I always hand wash using lukewarm water and mild detergent in a bucket. Soak for up to 30 minutes, then gently squeeze with your hands for a while. Do not twist to squeeze the water out; just gently squeeze the water and in dry flat on a towel 💕

    Is it ok if I use milk cotton yarn? I'm afraid it'll be smaller than using mohair yarn

    • @lerugicrochets
      @lerugicrochets  4 місяці тому +1

      Using milk yarn you will get different profile: it will be more lacy (if you use the same hook and loose tention) or adjust the ch numbers and st numbers to your liking and use medium sized hook (4-5mm) and you will get more solid sweater

    I don't understand why, but I can't do it at all. for some reason, there are several loops less on the second row. although I know how to knit and this is not my first product, I did not find a common language with mohair at all...🥲

    • @lerugicrochets
      @lerugicrochets  10 місяців тому +1

      I know that mohair is not an easy yarn to work with. But try with some smaller swatches first to find the right path and to get to know the stitches better. Or work with double strand of mohair and cotton or acrylic together. Hope it helps to get along with mohair 🥰
