I am using redmi note 5 pro since 2018. It has almost 5 years completed. Last update was Android 9 and it became very slow . Before 6 months I have rooted my phone ,then installed pixel experience . It's running with latest Android 13. My phone is not like a bullet traim❤❤❤. Now It is faster than even lot of new phone.
These were the things i used to do in 2016-2019 with my samsung phone. But back then it was like a spare phone and no regrets if something bad happens. Now as i have more critical Apps in my primary phone like banking apps i dont feel like rooting phone. One of the reason of not doing is that in first place there is no need now as new android have became more optimized for usage

I am using Ricedroid in my poco device which comes with MIUI which is known for lagging. Believe me custom roms are best. Now my device runs very smoothly. I would recommend everyone to please experience custom roms at least once. But I really don't know about any security threats!! Be careful. 🙂

No rooting required for custom ROM installation. Only unlocked bootloader. But rooting has lots of benefits today's day also.

Tip:Install corvus os, Lineage os, etc which are popular coz if u install untrusted os then u will face many problems
