Alexey Chernikov is researching new quantum materials and how they behave on an ultrashort time scale. He is working at the Dresden-Würzburg Cluster of Excellence ct.qmat. Electrons and light are key in this process - especially for storing and transporting information or energy. The fundamental research he and his team are conducting holds exciting prospects for future technologies.
