Not that this is in any way the moral of the story, but that "strict parenting" style that your aunt adopted is baffling. Basically, I don't want you to go out late, so if you do go, don't bother coming home after 9 or 10 pm. Yes, you better stay out like a dog and sleep God knows where because that is so much safer 🙄
Also, you're an adult now and I expect you to pay rent, but you still get a curfew like a child. Like huh??? And the way you spoke when you were talking about the apology you should've given your aunt to come back home earlier, talking about "sorry I disrespected your household". "Your"?? THAT IS YOUR HOUSE TOO TF?? Sorry, I just get so heated with these parental figures that treat their children like animals and expect them to just get what they're trying (horribly) to teach them.

Like???? I feel like so many parents/guardians do this but it's just being strict for the sake of being strict. Rules are supposed to keep the child safe (though Ti was an adult). If there's no lesson to be learned then what is the POINT except that you just enjoy making rules for the fun of it. It's just power and authority at that point. The lesson is "You need to do what I say just because I make the rules and I said so." When Ti said she would sometimes sleep in her car I got so sad because anything could have happened to her out there and for no reason.
They might of treated us wrong but we came out right with morals and respect unlike other people.

I grew up in a super strict household and had to sneak out and lie until I moved out at 21 too girl. I wonder how many of us were out here lying and being unsafe trying to hide the fact that we had curfews or no where to go sleep. So many of us probably would’ve been so much safer if we had felt comfortable being honest, because clearly all of us were going thru it 🤣🤍
