Saw this on TV around '92, as a 12yo I loved this car, the main thing stuck in my memory was when Christine hit the 'dozer and looked like she had teeth, and the way the front shook as she reversed into the dark. Still in my top 5 favourite films.

Imagine how those same areas looked back further, say, in the 1940's or 1950's ? True, a lot has changed since "Christine" was filmed in the early 1980's, but even more so from decades earlier. I was was a teenager in the 1980's, it was a simpler time, and in my opinion, a better time, when compared to 2020 or the last 25 + years or so. What we call "progress" isn't usually a good thing, in my experience. Cancer progresses, is this a good thing ? It starts small and typically spreads. I see our country and our society on a decline... unfortunately. If it were I, I'd do a Marty McFly ("Back To The Future") and travel back to 1955 and just stay right there. Lol.

At that time there was nothing built there. It was just what used to be onion fields but now I don't even recognize the place when I go there it is so over developed.

You can't stop progress as they say. People need someplace to live so I guess it's inevitable. I ventured back after 30 years to join up with my high school friends for a reunion party and got lost. I had to call and get directions. I couldn't believe I was in the same place I grew up in. It was a real WOW moment for me.
One of these days before I'm old and decrepit I would like to get down there to kangaroo land and check it out. It seems like a place with a lot to offer.

Wow. They went to Ridgemont High...I wonder if they ever ran into Spicoli ;)
I could see Arnie and Mark Ratner hanging out, though.

I watched the entire thing waiting to see what Darnell's garage looks like in real life only to be totally disappointed.

Interesting Trivia: Van Nuys High School was also used in the movie, "My Science Project", starring John Stockwell. You saw scenes from the library, auto shop, etc in it. Also, Fisher Steven's character Vinny makes reference to "Christine" as well, as sort of an inside joke, when he talks about "this kid that's being chased by this haunted car and almost gets flamed." Check it out!

4235 Huntington Drive North , Los Angeles , Ca is now Thorn Down . I think you made a mistake with the address on Genese Ave as 1428 North Genese Ave Los Angeles is the Nightmare on Elm Street house .. the correct address for that location would be 1357 North Genese Ave Los Angeles . 1357 North Genese is also in the movie Halloween 1978 directed by John Carpenter , you could see shots of that house at the time stamp 28:52 to 28:57 a whole 5 years before Christine .

Was originally supposed to be filmed in the general Pittsburgh area. Ironically did not have all of the mobile studio equipment available at that location due to at least two other movies being filmed there are about that time.
From the "history of film" it would have taken nine trucks to take all of the equipment across the country.
