I just fished with a few guys last night using these and they caught up 20+ stripers. It was insane how well they worked. They let me try them too and I caught two shorties. They're gonna show me the trick. Might end up being my go to for stripers from this point on.
I agree with your technique, however, I live in central NJ, south of sandy hook. I'm nearly 60 and me and my dad did this at a ton of locations in Monmouth and Ocean County locations. We'd dig, say, Friday after work and fish Saturday. Actually, as locals, we dug Sundays and fished Mondays-LOL So, your find is not limited to the Raritan Bay, it's a Jersey Marsh location Thang!! Your dig info is still spot on!!
Thank you for posting, it made me smile. I've known for 20 years exactly where that place is. I find more steamer clams while digging for bloodworms. Very cool local video.
I ' ve been using them for striper's for over50 years. Some of them can 5 feet long. Digging for sea worms and tape worms in boston, mass. Stripers love them
Got 1 MANY years ago LI south shore digging for sandworms. When I lifted the pitch fork about 14" from the sand it still was in the sand on either side and it was a full inch wide, it had to be 5-6 ft long. It was fall and I used it for winter flounder. worked great.
What effect do these worms have on stripers ?? Aren’t they a parasite and are they safe for the fish to eat !? 🤔 How safe would it be to eat a fish caught with them ? Genuinely curious
Let me show you how to dig for worms, how to bait them and explain every single detail , but I won’t tell you where to go cause I want all the worms. Lmfao. Thanks for nothing ma man

Nice bro awesome sharing tips 👌👍
Great video! Hard to catch them, but I saw it works much better than any kinds of worms in ratitan bay!
100% thank you! Hope all is well!
A roto tiller would be handy
Oh, I forgot, also tapeworms on the beach at low tide and green worms that look just like sandworms. They are great bate but very brittle.
Mi amigo big mistake now full of people from NJ digging on that spot. Lo siento🤦♂️🤦♂️🤷♂️

Can you please help me out brother’ I can’t ever find these ‘ please man it would be a big help ‘ it’s ridiculous how expensive these are
How do you tie it together
Hi great video … why the tackle shops don’t sell these worms ?
They are very scarce and hard to find. And hard to keep fresh too.
I have gotten them by accident digging for sandworms bay side on the hook
U gotta use them. They’re great! But u need the elastic bait tie for them because they’ll fall right off the hook
Also, use these on Porgies/Scup! It's candy to them! They will pick this over other worms.
100%. They’re great
Those arent....the same kind of worms that get in your stomach, right?
People catch these worm and sell at $50 per dozen. Best bait for striper period.
Some people here in Nj sell them $75-100 for a dozen
Keep showing that patch of sea grass and EVERYONE on the island is going to know where that spot is...
Where is it
