Being trapped in the backrooms, I wonder if the space itself is still growing. Is it alive? Is it a fleeting memory I'm trapped in as my consciousness seeks to live on as I fade out in my final breath, stretching moments into eternities? Maybe if I find a way out, I can move to the next life.

Even weirder, it seems to have been abandoned during construction, since most of the buildings don't even have windows. They all look pretty run-down... nature is starting to reclaim a decent portion of them. Despite it looking deserted, there are signs of visitors. Most notably in the form of various graffiti. Some elaborate, some looking like they were painted by a toddler. It seems like one weirdo even sprayed a creepy smiley face on one of the traffic signs. There's a constant, soft, comfortable breeze blowing throughout this whole area. Definitely something one can enjoy for a little while. But don't get distracted: there's only one exit around here... and it's inside one of these buildings. Which one? Who knows. Are there any violent animals or deranged people perhaps taking shelter in one of the buildings? No way to know for sure. One thing is for certain, though: you'll definitely know when you found the exit. It really looks that different from the rest of everything around you. ------------ [10:00] ------------------------- You reached the Neon Bunker. Best hope to God you like mazes, because oh boy... you're going to be here for a while. The Neon Bunker is a vast labyrinth featuring but a single elongated red light that covers the entire path. For the most part, this place is pretty peaceful - not many living souls are usually found here. One word of warning: don't touch the neon light string, as it's very hot. In fact, so hot that it becomes a problem... it's heating the room up. The deeper you go into the maze, the hotter everything seems to become. The exit isn't in the heart of the maze. In fact, you should be able to reach it without too much issue from walking in the heat. So keep that in mind: when it becomes unbearably hot, try to backtrack as much as you can; you've most likely skipped past it. There are lots of fake doors scattered throughout, and all of them can be opened without worry. Probably. Most of them will reveal just nothing but wall on the other side. And if it leads to an opening, you found the next area. ------------ [20:00] ------------------------- This is where things become a little... spooky. And dangerous. It features gigantic rooms, hallways, with the occasional maze-esque confusing passageways - all tiled with the same tiles you would find in a pool. This area, much like the first one, does not have a specific name. Some call it the Poolrooms (despite the lack of pools), others call it the Grand Mall (despite the lack of shops), and then few call it the Paranoia rooms (despite the lack of... never mind, paranoia is definitely part of this area.) For whatever reason, every visitor - no matter how they were born, raised or what-have-you - feels like they are in imminent danger or that someone is watching them the entire time. Rumours exist of a creature most frequently described as looking like a person wearing a coat and a hat, though looking like a silhouette. It is believed that this entity feeds off of visitor's sense of danger to become stronger in and of itself. While its existence has not been proven - plenty of visitors do appear to go missing in this area... so be careful. Spread throughout are various escalators. Some work, some don't. The one you need to look for, is one that goes diagonally down - seemingly forever. ------------ [30:00] ------------------------- After taking the correct escalator, you will now find yourself in the Shark Mall. From an interior design perspective, this area looks quite a bit like a mall. That, or of a giant mansion... there's a marble pattern pretty much everywhere in sight. This area is flooded with water unsafe to drink AND shark-infested (hence the name). It is important to note that this place appears to have been built with the fact in mind that it would be flooded, since all of the shops provide high ground, and a safe zone away from the sharks. None of the shops are active, but some might be "cursed", so best not stick around for long. Any food or drink you could find in the Shark Mall shops are safe for consumption. Same goes for the clothes stores: the clothing articles are safe to wear... and the toy shops are safe too, for what they're worth. Try not to get eaten by the sharks whilst going from one store to the other. The sharks are especially fierce here. So fierce, that some think these aren't natural sharks. They swim very fast, and probably haven't eaten anything for a long while. How they managed to survive at all is under investigation by 2 scientists who should've been back now. Keep your eyes peeled for a shop with an older, vintage looking interior that also has flashing lights. That's the exit. In this shop, there are two giant closets. Get inside one of them, close the door, wait approximately a minute, then open the door again. You should be in the next area. If not, you are basically locked in this area forever with no means of escape. ------------ [40:00] ------------------------- This area is... madness, quite honestly. It's a seemingly infinitely long hallway devoid of any colour or life. In the distance, it seems to be twisting and turning. And as soon as you lose sight of that closet, it's gone. There are no other ways to progress in this area but to go forward. No side exits, no secrets, but feel free to look for them if your mind is that desperate to escape. That's right, you will not escape. I created every other area to see how well you'd progress - and if you succumbed to the insanity at all. This hallway leads to the private quarters. That's where you will find... him. He's not somebody you want to meet, which is why I tried my hardest to make this area incompletable. There might be an end of the tunnel? Who knows for sure. As for you: the best thing you can do is just give up right here, right now. You can proceed if you think it's somehow better than death. If you proceed, prepare for the most unexpected. Maybe you'll go insane. Maybe you'll starve to death. Maybe something *supernatural* will happen to you. ------------ [50:00] ------------------------- 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞.
