Ticked off the checklist and still I am asked to take photos. I feel like a real failure, what am I doing wrong? Totally agree, mirrorless is just a passing fad. 😢😂😂
Jolly good show!! Had me laughing all the way to the end. How I have failed is to start up a business, get it going successfully, and then say to myself "I'm bored" let's do something different. I've been like that with relationships also, which is why I've been married a few times, have 4 grown children, and I do not know how many others I don't know about, but have paid 4 in my past and am burning out my days as a digital nomad, for what its worth, lol. Don't follow my recipe, you'll be doomed...
Lol…. I tried the Canon EOS R mirrorless and I wasn’t all that impressed. I was using the 6 mark ii before that and now I have the 5DS . Loving this new (old) camera!
I hear you. I was thinking that the reason why “model” photographers think there is money in that genre is because there used to be big money until the 80s. Can’t see a marketing plan in 2023 given the green light that was pitched for the first Pirelli calendar
I see a lot of people (myself included) who get trapped by social media - they set up an account 'for work', then they get sucked into it instead of producing their own work.
Question: I am on social media, and I'm a musician with one of those silly IG verfied checkmarks, should I create a second page specifically for my photo work? My fear is that less people will see it and most of my photography work is based on music, or musicians. Thanks!
@@TinHouseStudioUK skips about 50 seconds in to each video so you don't get the typical Heeyy guuyyyyyyssss sooo glad ur heree remember SMASHHH that like.... ughhh... I usually turn it off for your videos tho lol And I'm sick of Squarespace, now using ChatGPT to teach me to code so any video that says "Squarespace" is skipped 🤣
Doesn’t matter if you want to specialise, you end up a generalist. You work for people do a great job for them for years, they move to a different industry, now you’re doing different stuff.
this year I decided to quit with stock photography because AI is getting so good :) Maybe I'm wrong and my photos sell well on stock, but that is what I decided and will do my best to move to other photography...
Yes, but if you document a life of failure it would always get more interest than a life of success. People like to see failure, Shakespeare's tragedies were his most popular plays. Success is in many ways boring.
When it comes to tongue in cheek/reverse psychology you appear to be an evil genius. Seriously I have had the misfortune of working with some of the people you have just described.
lol to be fair to the photographers you destroyed, Social media doesn’t get people photography clients it seems. Millions of photographers on there and only a handful of jobs available every quarter. Prob over 90% of people aren’t getting work through social media unless they have millions of followers. The money with social is being an influencer.

I have never felt as ready to fail as I do now. Thanks for the advice 👍
My preferred path to failure is being too scared to ever really have a proper go at anything.
I feel this.
Good lord I feel this so much.
This way I'll achieve anything at 70 years old
I’ve never taken so many notes in my life!
I’m going to fail, and it will be spectacular thanks to these tips.

It cost you nothing to be nice yet it pays dividends! I love this video.
Excellent vid Scott. Just the ticket for anyone subscribing to the 'I never succeed at anything' channel. Solid Gold Coaching!😎💯👊
Your final comment about mirrorless was the funniest ever..... big LOL for that one 😅
Wonderful advice for wannabe failures in all fields.
Love your humour
haha nice work mate. great way to frame it
I have witnessed exactly what you describe here. It applies to any vocation. Well done. Cheers.

The best video on failing I’ve ever seen! I’m totally qualified to say that 😂

Absolutely MINT PMSL
Down in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Hey matey
Scott, you should be on stage, you have a very dry sense of humour, this one made me laugh 😂.
Love this one, Scott! Great advice 💯😉

I chuckled at "I hope it tanks a few businesses" 😂
Brilliant Scott !
Thanks
Perfect! Spot on.
Mint :) cracking work sir!
Thanks, now lets watch it tank haha
LMFAO! love it man :)
Clever
Nice one!!! also you forgot: if you want to fail you unsubscribe :P Nice video style :D
Love it!
Thanks Steve
Just cracked open generative AI in photoshop and it’s mind blowing! Can see it being a great help for event photographers and such

Superfunny ! Thanks :)
Yeah the world is a bit bigger than London. Stock photography the only way to make money is to be a share holder.
how hard was it to stick to the "do not do this" how many outtakes did that take
Oddly it was a single take haha. Surprised I didn't mess up.
Haha. This was great!!
Thanks Brad

Haha so many people are gonna take that literally! This is UA-cam after all.. 😂
"I hope it helps tank a few businesses"
🤣🤣🤣
I use all my money and put all my focus on getting the right cameras and lenses.

If they gave out degrees for sarcasm, you would have one 🤣
This is my new fave comment haha
6:10 And Adobe Firefly doesn't exist. 😆
I think I will ignore AI.
Forsooth!
Not to be critical .. you forgot to mention the best tip is to leave your camera in the box an never take photos with it...

Ah reverse physiology I see!
🤣🤣🤣

Don't need your advice, my business never even got going.
most of your video titles are very negative
