Best Michigan comp I can come up with as far as sheer dominance is Hutchinson. He all but eliminates developing plays. If you run a PA Pass your QB will turn around and get planted for a swift 3rd and 18. But yes, CC is a once in a generation talent as you'll ever see.
Everyone knows who Caitlin Clark is: she's the chick who can out-shoot the super-hyped, Azzi Fudd. However, a lot of fans know who Monika Cizanano is. She is not tall and thin or small & delicate, but she knows what she is gonna do before she gets the ball. Once that b-ball is in her hands, Monika executes the fastest, most sure-footed way turn to the hoop. I played low-post center in prep school, so I totally appreciate Czanano's "get position, catch the ball, then, turn & shoot philosophy. The first low post center rule is don't futz around because the defense will collapse around you. Make the move, go chest to chest & take the shot. There are a lot of thinner, faster, more mobile forwards & centers in the ladies' D1 league, but Czanano is quicker footed and more agile than any of them. She's also shooting around 65% - 75% for the season. That's amazing. I'm in awe of Caitlin Clark and her ability to shoot from the Logo, but I really enjoy watching Cizanano work the low post. She's a catch, turn, shoot & the ball's in the bucket before any defender can react. Cizanano is Ms. Inside to Caitlin Clarke's Ms. Outside.
The law firm lol. Clark-Czinano was among the best duo in basketball and so entertaining to watch. Their play is precise to the millimeter and to the 10th of a second. Sometime when Czinano is on the receiving end of a pass from Clark she is not even open in any way, but by the time the ball flies to her she would become just open enough to get it and make the score . She will be missed the next season.
Michigan #5 should have been called for traveling on the hops before her two 3-pointers at the beginning of the video. And at 2:09 Michigan doesn’t even step out of bounds before the inbounds pass!
