i have a lot of respect for this guy. It's humbling going from being in a huge band then having to do what it takes to get by. I hope he is doing well.
I saw Michael Graves live with the Misfits twice, they were the best concerts ive ever seen in my life. He had a great stage presence, a great voice and the whole place went crazy and was singing every song with him. Not to mention he's a cool dude and a nice guy to top it off. Man i hope he's still doing music cause he's great, I would love to see him back with the Misfits.
Met Michael Graves in 99 in Portland, he was on his way into the venue with a bag of Burger King, I asked if I could get an autograph, he handed his food to his body gaurds and signed shit for the fans for about 15 mins. Cool fucking guy
"I'm Michale, how can I help you today? Rutti tutti fresh and fruity is on sale today! :D" LOL! He has a good sense of humor and I'd shit myself if i saw him at IHOP but Doyle did ask him about 3 times to sing in Gorgeous Frankenstein. Should have done it!
To those of you that asked, a full interview does exist somewhere...I know, because I did it. We did a few with Michale and one with Dr. Chud. You'll have to pester WalkerEntertainment to upload the whole thing.
@74jailbreaker danzig's a pretty chill dude with his fans, he's just not keen on doing interviews with press and shit, i don't blame him. Pushead tape interviews are really good, as well as few others on here, like the one's for headbaggers ball.
He seems pretty humble. I hope this guy has a second wind and resurfaces and gets to live his dreams because he seems to deserve it, just for being real and sincere, which seems to be harder and harder to find in the music business now days.
@JennieRevolver Good luck with your band :) Down the road when you record anything I'd love to hear/see it. They're all very down to earth and inviting you wont be disappointed.
@MrFrost227 Yeah, people may not be too knowledgeable about how being on a major record label really works. Mr. Graves may have been the singer for those 2 albums, but he was treated like hired help. He was not getting a cut in merch sales, due to the Misfits name and logos being trademarked by Glen and Jerry. So, basically, he was getting a small cut for touring and an even smaller cut from album sales. Not much cash to sustain somebody for the rest of their life.
@JennieRevolver Im sure you'll do fine, Everytime i would play for a crowd id just tell myself "they are here for music, i play music, they dont or else they would be up here" dont worry about what non musicians say, real musicians will appreciate it no matter what. Everyone starts somewhere.
I have a lot of other thoughts to say about Graves but despite that this is punk as fuck. I have the utmost respect for him as far as being a working human being goes on and off stage
@JennieRevolver I still like his music but now I just wont pay for it. I was thinking " I should punch him in the chin everyone else does". I've partied with Dez and Robo and man they PARTY. Graves is chill to smoke with, Jerry doesnt party he relaxes and drinks a few. Danzig storms off like an angry princess in tight pants. BTW if you want to party with em they always party in Jersey. Join a band play few shows and your in lol its that easy
@JennieRevolver I know he founded the misfits and he's one hell of a musician. He just has a bad attitude and an ego larger than the sun. He acts like he has no time for his fans and he doesnt come hang out with us after shows like Michale does.
Saw Newfits 4 times with graves live, they put on a really good live show Graves had so much energy. Im sorry now i told him he needed to stop jumping around the stage like a flea.
I don't get it... what happened? He didn't make a truckload of money with the Misfits???? Why the hell did he end up working at IHOP when the records he made with them sold millions of copies?
I think Dee Snider said he was a bike messenger after Twisted Sister broke up, so this happens to singers. Most rockers needing cash depend on telemarketing, bar tending, construction, roadie gigs, etc. Out of work rockers should just call me for placements.
Lol.... I don't like his music at all except for the show I went to in Louisville 96 resurrection tour because at that point they only had 3 new songs and they were supposed to put out a 7inch of "Blacklight" with a poster. It never happened and then American Psycho came out. I was 19 when it dropped and initially I liked it and I still like a few songs but overall the Graves really was mediocre and not the Misfits. If they used a different name it would be more respected.
Actually My computer is as useful as you are. I posted something and it did not show up, so I retyped it. I thought you were done? Thanks for spelling it Thnx. Go back to school and get your money back, better yet..I have a job and pay taxes, get my money back.

What a good dude.

I got somethin to say! I'll be your waiter today!
Sorry,had to do it.
Stopaskingformyname “And it doesn’t matter much to me, as long as you’re fed!”
I’ll show myself out.
I love Mike but that was FUNNY!
I love what a good guy he is.... no ego, jus a great singer
Wonder if this was after he quit in 98' or 2000. Either way, it sucks that he was so young when he get into the business
Ihop right on rt. 37 in Toms River. Right next to seaside .
No way I grew up going there
To those of you that asked, a full interview does exist somewhere...I know, because I did it. We did a few with Michale and one with Dr. Chud. You'll have to pester WalkerEntertainment to upload the whole thing.
Started out funny. Ended depressingly.
True
That made me tear up :(
God this story is actually sad. Graves is a great musician ,deserving of way more of what he got. Great soul too.
No worries dude, I don't even have a job
LMFAO. GRAVES IS COOL.
Wow, can't believe Michale is wearing a Saturday Nite Shockers shirt. It's a small band out of Texas but they kick ass.
Can you imagine if Henry Rollins would’ve gone back to baskin robins to serve ice cream instead of spoken word after black flag
Seems way more friendlier than Glen Danzig.
@74jailbreaker danzig's a pretty chill dude with his fans, he's just not keen on doing interviews with press and shit, i don't blame him. Pushead tape interviews are really good, as well as few others on here, like the one's for headbaggers ball.
Yeah dude, thats Michale Graves, saw him live in person before. Thats him with his hair bunched up under his beanie
Can you post the full interview?
where's the whole interview?
He seems pretty humble. I hope this guy has a second wind and resurfaces and gets to live his dreams because he seems to deserve it, just for being real and sincere, which seems to be harder and harder to find in the music business now days.
Ahhhh.. we're all human... Thanks Graves.
@JennieRevolver Good luck with your band :) Down the road when you record anything I'd love to hear/see it. They're all very down to earth and inviting you wont be disappointed.
RESPECT.
Thnx for proving my point ;D

@WalkerEntertainment its a fuckin amazin song

I agree
@franabad because his right arm is toward the wal on the inside
@JennieRevolver Awesome I hope you rock it. Jerry is very nice Him and Michale are the best
Song in the begining?
fucking hilarious and at 1:35 i was seriously expecting tears hahaha
@JennieRevolver Thats the spirit
I have a lot of other thoughts to say about Graves but despite that this is punk as fuck. I have the utmost respect for him as far as being a working human being goes on and off stage
:( that hurt
@vergeofchaos yes it is
his Alt right buddies I'm sure stepped up and took care of him
@WalkerEntertainment He really looks and sounds like him, but where's his "stitches" tatoo on his right elbow? Is it fake??
@phantomrider78 I don't know why they removed your comment. But that is aweful!! Unbeleievable! That just seems SO wrong. It has to be.
@wiccaboy210 haha yeah thats the best part about the vid...i know those dudes!
I'm sure Michael would laugh at that.
@vergeofchaos Who is it then?
punk rock/metal just doesn't pay the bills :-( :-( :-(
@74jailbreaker seems that way but I hope that isn't the way it is...
@JennieRevolver I still like his music but now I just wont pay for it. I was thinking " I should punch him in the chin everyone else does". I've partied with Dez and Robo and man they PARTY. he should have fucking stayed there ...
@c197373 Why do you think that?
Damn that's pretty fucked up that they didn't leave him a tip....I would've even if he is Graves!!
This makes me sad. Even now I still think he has a great voice, I wish I could find a singer like him to play with
@jake5596 naaaaah dude Hear american Nightmare.
Seems like a bunch of fans and groupies giggling as he talks.... Sad
@shizabanana Return to Earth
MG is on the rise! His new album The Lost Skeleton Returns is out and KILLING IT!!! Go check out his new videos and buy the album.
I don't get it... what happened? He didn't make a truckload of money with the Misfits???? Why the hell did he end up working at IHOP when the records he made with them sold millions of copies?
He made a lot of money and pissed it away on pot. Lived in Hawaii for a year and then returned to NJ
amazing, you insult me for doing the same.
Oh yeah...you ended with a preposition.
Not Graves.
I think Dee Snider said he was a bike messenger after Twisted Sister broke up, so this happens to singers. Most rockers needing cash depend on telemarketing, bar tending, construction, roadie gigs, etc. Out of work rockers should just call me for placements.
THATS NOT GRAVES!
NO WONDER I LIKE WAFFLES.
Respond to this vide@wiccaboy210 haha yeah thats the best part about the vid...i know those dudeso...

wow.... that's fuckin' terrible. i hate people like that.... Graves didn't deserve that at all!
Micheal Graves is a great singer, sad to hear this story.
Actually My computer is as useful as you are. I posted something and it did not show up, so I retyped it.

Thanks for wiping your hands.
LOL He's not good enough for IHOP. I'd ask for a different waiter
