I don't think they in Norway/Sweden tend to do all those laborious operations of moving whole set of lines of a hillside up or down just to avoid having two levels of form lines in on place. Anyway, contours staying more mathematical is just a side effect for mapper being able to add yet an other form line. Being mathematica from sea level or not is quite irrelevant issue for runners. But what is relevant difference for a runner is map often being more generalized or at least small drops not being mapped (for not having a line to map them with) vs more small and low details but several levels of form lines instead. Might be something to have in mind when racing for the first time.
Curious about two things. Looks like you are using routegadget. Someone told me i should try it for making headcam videos, but i didnt see any way to import a jpg or png based map to merge the run track. The default map looks like its only the scandinavian countries. Did i miss something? Also…its hard to hear your voice…its kind of low and raspy…maybe call Bjork and see if she can do a voice-over? 😂
I cannot say for the whole Sweden. I was thought by Hakan Ohlund to show the features using the contours. Not just mathematically draw from LIDAR.
