Sounds really good and relaxing, I even forgot I have leave in background the video while an editing a pic in Photoshop, I was think that is an ambient music 😅😅😅
This channel is the reason I will be broke because I want the Strymon Big Sky and SY-1. It is sooo easy to go down the tone chasing rabbit hole with peddles!
@@PerryFrank you are talking to the same person who foolishly bought a Boss HM-2 30 years ago and never sold it despite not being able to make ANY decent sounds from a rabid chainsaw. :D
@@jasonwojcik 🤣 I undestand man, I can tell you that I could never run a channel without buying and selling by second hand. I'm not rich and this is the only way to make reviews for different pedals.
Truly appreciate the work you've done on displaying this pedals potential. Your videos have convinced me it really is the tool I've been yearning for. Just ordered one after years on the fence, and my butt was getting really sore from sitting on it for so long. Thank you!
I play in an alt rock/hard rock band and want to add more atmosphere to our songs, I’m looking to get the RV-6 but I’m really not sure whether to go for that or the sy1
I don't know how much they cost in your country, I can tell you how they cost in Italy: SY-1 - 180 new /150 € second hand DD-8 - 130/100 € RV-6 - 150/120 € Total= 460/370 €
I love this I'm exploring too with the SY-200, a flashback and a HoF2. Would be great if we could see the chords you're playing as well ! Thanks for the inspiration :)
I wish more people demonstrated the SY-1 with delay and reverb. It really shows what it's capable of. I had an SY-1 very briefly a month or two ago. However, I ended up returning it...because they announced the SY-200 right after I got it. I pre-ordered that sucker and am just waiting for it to become available. (It's basically an SY-1 with tap tempo, the ability to store presets, and a few extra sounds.) It's going to sound amazing with the Strymon trifecta.
Yeah, I was wondering if I even want the sy200 because the simplicity of this pedal is nice and with effects it sounds pretty spectacular, also I like the ergonomics of this smaller pedal. Better for my pedal board.
@@PJmusica Personally, I'd go with the SY-200 if you can swing it. It's the SY-1 with the same options and the ability to store presets. That last part is key if you ever want to go back to a previous sound or switch in the middle of a performance.
I really appreciate you giving so much attention to the SY-1. Mine should be arriving tomorrow, so I’m excited to try it with my Slö and Lucky Cat pedals.
Hey Perry Frank! Could you please tell me the difference between the re2 and the sy1? And a space ambient demo with rv6 sy1 and re2 would ;be appreciated. Thanks for the lovely sounds and demos
Im looking for pdeal combination like this + metal effect to get space ambient rock soundscapes. Do you have any advice which metal effect would fit your combiantion used in video ? Thanks for your great job !
Great video! I've watched most of your SY-1 demos with various reverb pedals... many of them multiple times, but it's really interesting to see it with reverb AND delay. There are so many settings to adjust on the SY-1, it's great to see what you've done with it. Keep up the good work!
Sound 2 reminds me a lot of some of the sounds Mark Snow would get from the Korg Wavestation SR on the soundrack to the X-files! Great job, now I have to go out and buy all these pedals! LOL
Man, this is just amazing. I love my SY1 but I can't wait for the SY200 to hit the shelves. I'm hoping you're considering doing some videos on that as well

The use of pedals with the SY200 absolutely transforms it...this is the way to go with guitar synths!
I'm really stoned right now, and sat listening to music on cans, that was really cosmic. 👍🏻😁

Look for second hand pedals, you'll never be broke, and when you'll want to sell them you'll probably have again the money you've spent.

Thanks so much for share...great sounds. Blessings

Love this set up, I almost have the same except I have the Flashback II delay. Great sounds!
Thanks a lot, Flashback 2 is good too. Love it. Soon I will release a DD-8 Vs Flashback 2 video
Fantastic sound !!!
Thank you very much 🙏
the delay/reverb pedals add SO much to that synth pedal. on its own it sounds pretty cheesy but with the other 2... beautiful

Sound 4,5, and 7 are best

Try strymon cloudburst it's very versatile
tnh from russian, good music!
Would you put SY before or after drive?
I always put it before
Drive in the SY loop. Its parallel.

I hear some Vangelis vibes, great demo really enjoy this one. Thank you.
Thank you 🙏 Vangelis is my hero ❤
I have these pedals. I think I’ll go home tonight and play with them.
Lovely pedals, good value for money and space in pedalboard.
Get that reverb in front of the delay !

Fantastic, they really compliment each other. Boss is Boss.
Lovely pedals, thank you 🙏
thats amazing
Thank you very much 🙏
Great sounds - are you using a volume pedal, or does the SY-1 naturally cut off the attack? Cheers
I use the volume knob of the guitar
Lovely , kind of reminds me of Moby's wait for me Ambient side
Love that album 🔥 thank you very much 🙏
👌
Sound 2 was vaguely reminiscent of David Bowie's Low album. The first of the Eno trilogy, you know? Good stuff, sir.👍
Thanks so much 🙏
Of course I know, I have the vinyl of that album
Very Nice! .... I just got the new X-Space by IK MULTIMEDIA....WOW! It could definitely hang with the strymon Bigsky @ $150 cheaper.
I have this setup with a Digitech Freqout pedal in front. 👽

2:26 ok WOAH. I wasn't impressed at first, admittedly, but holy crap that is pretty damn cool. 🤯
It's nearly sounds like keyboard/synthesizer; you'll hardly distinguish if the sound comes from a guitar if you only listen to it.
Nice sounds! Don't have any Synthpedal, have to stick with octaver/pitch shifter & phaser :D
No Tera Echo?? 🤔
I don't have it
@@PerryFrank Ooooooh. It's all coming together now...
great experience!! super video ! thanks
Thank you very much 🙏

Wow !! Thx

Inspiring.
Thank you 🙏
Man, that is epic
Thank you very much indeed 🙏
Vangelis
🙏🙏
Is it the same loop playing with each setting? I THINK I NEED THE SY1
No loop, it's live in all the clip. Sy1 is one of my favorite pedals
Good stuff…
😁👍👍👍👍👍
can i use my usual keyboard syntheiser?
Of course you can
Is there volume pedal connected too ?
I use the volume knob of the guitar
@@PerryFrank Great !!! thanks !!!!!
Awesome! Can you do a demo of this chain with distortion thrown in?

Hey there spoke to ambient guitar UK , Andrew, and he said he was disappointed in the 200, if this is any help
Imagine doing this and not using an RE-2
