I have seen many great pulls from the Fat Packs of Update. I have seen 2 rips from different UA-cam channels that pulled Legendary HFA'S. You just have to get "lucky" with what you pick or buy a whole bunch to get the best chance, but there is some "fire" available in them, for sure!
Stryker is hyping up the Fat/Value Packs, but Hangers and Blasters Boxes (Regular and Fanatics) give you so many exclusive Parallels. These are selling out everywhere so I don’t expect to see them in stores very long and Topps Update doesn’t restock at Retail stores but once or twice. Singles don’t sell for much, but if you hit the right Parallels then that’s a totally different story. Good luck on your endless journey into 2024 Topps Update…I will open enough to put together a Base 350 set and call it quits. At 400K+ Base sets made, all I need is one. 😂
The ONLY cards I've managed to snag since series 1 2024 was a update series holiday box thing, the 8 packs for $25 but it was good!! I got a chevron variant Elly De La Cruz! Couple other nice cards too, ASG Skenes and some great rookie debuts, as well as the Shohei/Trout combo card (all base though lol)
Did the same 10 fat pack Gamestop special and hit a Yount LHFA, Profar vintage stock and Judge blue black gold. I also got a couple bust packs. It feels like opening a jumbo, but definitely isn't.
I'm not a fat pack kind of guy either. Normally. But I saw 9 at target, grabbed 9 and pulled a legendary HFA of Puckett! Btw your content is great and appreciated 👍
From my experience buying retail since hobby prices are so jacked up, i think fat and hangers are similar with a slight edge to hangers for the guaranteed yellows. Oddly, i like the blasters over both just because the I like the holiday design this year and every other one has had a skeleton or ghosts for me.

That gold Ohtani / Trout combo card sells for about $20 on eBay. I pulled one from a hanger box and will be sending it to PSA! In my opinion, I think the hangers are better. Probably the best 2024 update series format period.
A JP France printing plate, my first 1/1 but pretty basic since. I have a ton left and I buy them whenever I see them. I hope for some luck. Plan to do challenge videos with them.

Got a shots Okinawa gold it’s an okay card but check some of your cards it came with two parts at the top where it had been almost pealed back and completely ruined the condition.
Wish I could afford a Jumbo of this, they have the best pulls I've seen. I'm going to have to settle for hangers if I can find any non outrageously priced ones.

The 3 I bought: Shohei Black Gold, Papi Autumn Tales Black/ 299, Skenes-Grandal Green /499 and a J.D. Davis Golden Mirror. Compare that to the Blaster I picked up at the same time: The Halloween's were all base duds(couple of RCs but no one worth mentioning), Rafaela RD Rainbow, Gavin Williams RD Retail Blue, Skenes ASG, Hank Black Gold, Elly All-Class, and Robbie Ray 4th of July /76. Does the Skenes ASG trump the other Skenes-Grandal combo? I would have to say no, maybe in a # parallel it would. In the right player the ID /76 would trump some GMs and I know a GM of any player will not be a common pull in any format, since there are like 70ish of each player printed(at least inserted in packs) but I would say the Fat Packs were better than the Blaster in my case at least in this particular instance.

I see some people pulling some heat out of it but I’ve opened 10 blasters and 6 fat packs and have not pulled one note worthy card other than the paw patrol judge which we all know now is not that note worthy. Everyone was talking about how the print run was so low and it was going to make this stuff so good and I was in at the start hence why I bought 10 blasters and 6 fat packs. Maybe it’s just my bad luck but I won’t be ripping anymore wax of this product lol I’m tired of getting destroyed 😂
I honestly feel like blasters aren't that great, obviously our guy here is pulling fire. But I still think hangers and hobby jumbo/regular boxes are quite a bit better than everything other than hangers for retail.

I pulled a Miguel Cabrera relic from Series 2 2024. They are, like you said, good for building base card set and you might hit occasional insert card.
I picked up 5 fat packs yesterday from game stop and got half my money back. There were a bunch still at that gamestop
