This is just false, he's statistically the best manager PSG ever had and won everything with them apart from the UCL. The only reason people say he failed at PSG is because they lost one league title to the best Monaco team ever which included Mbappe, Bernado Silva, Fabinho, Moutino, Falcao, Mendy etc who even reached a UCL semi finals knocking out Man City...
@@Ben-gd4db Winning trophies with PSG if it’s not the Champions league then don’t really matter much coz every PSG coach has won everything with them, Emery is a good coach for Mid table teams like Villa and Villereal
An absolute joke that this conversation even needs to happen. Goldstein being moronic enough last season, but since then Emery signed what is currently the longest contract in the league. He wants to build at Villa, he brought all his staff over to accomplish that and he's got a great relationship with the owners. United couldn't offer a tenth of that over there because they are desperate to keep control, they would never hand the keys over to any manager like Wes Edens and Nassef Sawiris has to Emery. Villa also have a better squad. Not for numbers, but for quality. Downgrade with no upsides 😂
Yes, Manchester United are a bigger club. As was Arsenal, and arguably PSG. It didn't work out, he wasn't given the time. Why leave a secure job where he is doing extremely well and loved by all, to join a "bigger" club where he's going to get scrutinised from day dot? He's better off where he is, and I'm a United fan.
Man Utd. is a managerial black hole right now. I would be very surprised if Emery left Villa to go there. He has built a very good team; one or two more astute signings and they will be serious contenders.
I'm a Newcastle fan and I'm glad to see Villa doing well and in the champions league, with all the corruption in the premier league and only 6 clubs who are allowed to spend what they want and with all the clubs outside that "Big six" not being allowed to spend money, it's good that they are where they are and it makes a corrupt league, more exciting and Emery should stay where he is and go nowhere near the Man Utd job.

If Emery goes i think itll be to Barca or Real Madrid. Cant see him leaving to go to another English club now, he knows how fans can treat you in this country with his experience at Arsenal but hes got unanimous support from the Villa fans that hed find very hard to undo
Emery wont leave villa for a couple of season's. Yes money talks. But emery has had 2 "big" jobs already. And got burned. He has complete control of aston villa. His son is in the youth set up. The owners have invested in the club emery own in real union, there kit is even now claret and blue. As villa fans we are used to losing our best players, emery and villa are a good fit.
Tough for me to believe that only 2 years of a 5 year plan that this is the Peak of Villa’s success under Emery. As long as the players continue to buy into what Emery is doing, we will continue our rise. UP THE VILLA!!!!
Villa could have a successful few years coming up under Emery. The problem is though, their revenue is constrained by their stadium size. The transport links are poor too. Moving from VP is unthinkable for most Villa fans so the owners are going to have to dig deep into their pockets to fix those issues. Villa could be giants or just a bigger Leicester in 5-10 years time.
I love to see Villa doing as well as they are. It's always nice to break up the monotony of the usual so-called 'big 6'. Emery should've won manager of the year last season for how well they did and just how far they've come under his leadership.
Eventually he will leave villa maybe city if pep leaves or atletico if cholo leaves but leaving villa for United is career suicide he gained his reputation back after psg arsenal
Let’s not forget we are achieving all this with a lot of injuries - Kamara, Mcginn, Mings, Cash, Ramsey Another issue that a lot don’t understand is that Wes and Sawaris are not the sole investors in Villa, Atairos who are a strategic investment company worth billions also hold a minority share and specialise in growing companies brands. Emery is doing great at Villa and good luck to him. I don't think it follows that he would be the right man for Man U, he's always managed at clubs where the expectation, pressure and scrutiny is lower, plus he's clever enough to know it's probably a poison chalice anyway. Plus, bad as ETH may be, he's 4-1 up an Emery in head-to-heads, if he's that good and Ten Hag is that bad you would think Villa would have taken at least a point form the last 4 games. That could change at the weekend of course.
I think people are getting carried away with Emery here. Yes he's a good manager but he's not top tier with people like Klopp, pep, Arteta etc. Aston Villa, Sevilla, Villarreal is his level and he's probably the best manager in the world at that level currently
I dont think the lazy united players would sit through all the Emery tapes of the opposition. He does well at smaller clubs that buy into the work ethic and preparation. I hope the villa players find it scalable now with all the extra pressures and games

And why stats mean so little when analysing a game of football. Villa controlled the game without the ball, whereas Celtic were going toe to toe with a team they have no business trying to outplay
Didn't take long... We all like the underdog until it's time to feed the machine. Talksport, Sky Etc did exactly the same thing with Poch when he had Spurs on the rise.

It is nearly impossible not to qualify for the knockout stages, as a 'bigger' side, because 3 wins is likely to be enough to secure at least 24th spot and a play-off. The supposed jeopardy of wanting to finish top-8 is a whole lot of nothing, too. Whether you finish 7th or 24th, every team plays another top-8 side by the QFs at the latest anyway. This new format is just laying bare the widening gap not just between CL teams and others, but between the best teams in the CL and the rest. Yes, Bayern lost at Villa. They will still qualify comfortably. In 96 group stage games last season, there were ten instances of a team scoring four goals or more. We've had 38 games so far in this new format, we have had nine such instances already
No one will finish in the top 8 with 9 points. So finishing in the 9th to 24th is a lottery. And we will see some big upsets. How many upsets do we see in the last 16 normally?
Emery has a great set up at Villa. Why would he swap that for the burning skip that Yanited has become. It's a manager's graveyard, he's much better off staying where he is.
Not saying Emery wouldn’t leave villa for a madrid or Barcelona but don’t see him leaving for United… only have to look at the managers they’ve had since Ferguson and they’ve destroyed everyone’s reputation… emery’s just rebuilt his.
Emery has had big jobs in the past it’s not like he looking for his first one. he will leave Villa eventually but only if the right opportunity comes calling and that just isn’t United these days
As a Villa fan the only team in the Prem I could see poaching him is Man City if Pep leaves in the summer or beyond. Liverpool have a new manager, hes been at Arsenal already and man utd are not an attractive job these days.
He might leave one day, but it wouldn't be for utd. He has a boardroom full of ppl he knows and has worked with in Spain, owners that give him everything he wants (or as much as FFP allow), has family both at villa and real union....very few clubs are going to give him that kind of control.
Anyone saying that he'd peave Villa in a heartbeat to go to Man Utd doesn't know what they're talking about. Of course it will be in the media but its just lazy journalism. Man Utd have had their time and they're finished. Villa are a club on the rise.
Why do some managers get overly emotional and struggle to move on after taking an L from Arsenal. It was ETH, now Emery talking about Arsenal. There are 36 other games to play, leave Arsenal alone and stop being unnecessarily obsessed with Arsenal and Arteta. And to the Villa fans, you were absolutely lucky against Bayern. That win had fluke written all over it. You may want to argue but that's your business.
You’re as dense as a dying star. He said despite the loss to Arsenal he was happy with the effort they put in - absolutely nothing to do with Arsenal the club. Villa out smarted Bayern last night, put the ball in the back of the net twice. But yeah, Emery isn’t right for Utd. Southgate however 😂😂😂😂

just to note, without the bad apointment of gerrard, NONE of this happens... if we took on a moyes or a dyche, they may have jsut been good enough to not get sacked and we stick with them for 2 or 3 years until we finally realise were not going anywhere. Im glad we had the year of gerrard we needed it!
Simon Jordan always speaks highly of Villa not only as a club but as an institution - had a lot of time for Villa and mentioned Doug Ellis had a lot of time for him as a young chairman - he may did out Villa players at times but he has a lot of time and respect for Villa - tSpot on about the Chinese nicking Villa and almost running us into oblivion - he is the best FA chairman England never had.
Villa are a proper club mate everyone knows that probably genuinely the 4th biggest club in the country 👍
@@mikem8211 absolute nonsense
@TribalScan. Well I'd say it's out of them Chelsea & Spurs for the 4th biggest club in the country (not best or most trophies but biggest) but they're up there and have alot of history
@@mikem8211
True, proper legacy club with a big fanbase. Right now I'd compare them to Newcastle, huge fanbase but lost a significant period of growth due to poor ownership but are now reclaiming their position. And unlike the Toon Villa did win a fair amount, they were right up there in trophies until the start of the 90s with only really Liverpool being way out in front by that point. They had more FA cups than us or Liverpool, for example, actually have they still got more FA cups than Liverpool?
@darthwiizius Not sure Liverpool have 7 FA Cups I believe. Villa have 9 titles I believe with the first one in the 1800's & of course they've won the 1 trophy my team hasn't won & only 5 English teams have won the European Cup
He signed a new 5yr contract in May, imagine the compensation clause.
Emery just coached a win vs Bayern Munich with Aston Villa. Why on Earth would he go to a midtable side which was lucky to sneak into the Europa League?
As a United fan I approve this message.
Managers look at how deep the pocket is not the state of the team. managers are competitive too, they want to be the best and we all know Villa don’t generate revenue anywhere near United to get him the best players in the world( you are now a little smarter, thank me later)
@@trapmantv.nocopyrightmusic593Best players in the world? Anthony, Zirkee, de ligt.....stop making me laugh 🤣

Thing is. It’s a completely different setting at United to what it is at Villa. If he went there the media would be completely on top of him from day one and the pressure would be far worse because when it’s united there’s more eyes on them. Didn’t do great at arsenal but He’s done well at Villa. Can he take that step up and challenge for titles is another thing..
Emery is out of Manchester's league. I think they need to go for realistic options. Southgate would be a great appointment for them.
Don't for get about their hero Ole, he's ready to save them and Rio n the rest of the clowns are dying to sing Ole's at the wheel
Emery to United
Southgate to Villa
That’s the reality
They are still a big club but United have all but lost the stature that attracts the top managers and players now. It's a graveyard for both top managers and top players if anything where managers and players have failed at in recent years.
even if it is as good as it gets, we were there, we enjoyed it and im so happy to have made that memory with my bro and my dad. Gonna take a lot to top the feeling we all got from last night, and the atmosphere in the ground. Still buzzing
5 year deal. Give us 120m or fk off and get Southgate…
Emery doesn't do well at the very big clubs, his tailor made for mid table clubs and he builds them up. `If he goes to united the expectations will consume him just like it did at Arsenal and PSG, The United manager job at this moment of time is almost impossible for any manager who goes in there after years of neglect and poor recruitment.
United are right now amid table club fact. Isn't the 1990s you know.
Know your place !
The upside is it’s the biggest club in England mate
Hahaha keep telling yourself that! Man Utd are the second biggest team in Manchester 😂😂😂😂
Never thought I'd see the day when I'd say.....why would you leave Aston villa to join Manchester united....how the mighty have fallen.
Did I see Ross Barkley in a Villa top?Would have taken him at Liverpool....Quality player...How much did Villa pay Luton Town to get him?
3m with 2m in add on's if he reaches certain targets and in today's football money crazy world that's a bargain
@@Thenightmarewillendsoon ABSOLUTE BARGAIN....Was surprised to see him at Luton....Surprised to see him at Villa....Good good player...Great Value....Just shows there are players out there at Ok money....Chiesa @ Liverpool.....Utd spending 50 million a player is INSANE...Villa looking good Emery a good coach...
Don't say this too loudly, but we got Youri Tielemans on a free transfer. Zilch ! Zero pounds !
Probably worth £50m plus now. Huge engine in midfield, a fans favourite and all for nothing
Ssshhhhh keep it quiet but we also got John McGinn for 2.75 million
Omg he left Everton? Do you still have Berger on left wing?
Don’t support either but why would Emery want to abandon Villa for the chaos of Manchester United anyways. Villa are much stronger and in a healthier position all around
Who be bringing up these ideas anyways
Jims gonna get lose his tongue if he keeps up
Tough for me to believe that only 2 years of a 5 year plan that this is the Peak of Villa’s success under Emery. As long as the players continue to buy into what Emery is doing, we will continue our rise. UP THE VILLA!!!!
Villa are not intending on standing still . Villa will keep adding pieces to the jigsaw . People need to wake quickly 👍🏻
It's very simple, there is no ceiling for any club, all you have to do is keep winning matches...
Everything else is secondary...
I love to see Villa doing as well as they are. It's always nice to break up the monotony of the usual so-called 'big 6'. Emery should've won manager of the year last season for how well they did and just how far they've come under his leadership.
Sir Lordship Jordanite = Top LAD Proper Clobber 💯 Facts
From Aston villa to united... The delusion is beyond belief.. Tuchel turned them down ffs
Tuchel did not turn down United
That would be a really stupid move, for Emery.
Eventually he will leave villa maybe city if pep leaves or atletico if cholo leaves but leaving villa for United is career suicide he gained his reputation back after psg arsenal
Let’s not forget we are achieving all this with a lot of injuries - Kamara, Mcginn, Mings, Cash, Ramsey
Another issue that a lot don’t understand is that Wes and Sawaris are not the sole investors in Villa, Atairos who are a strategic investment company worth billions also hold a minority share and specialise in growing companies brands.
Villa are a VERY wealthy club with a lot of expertise in all the right places to enable them to succeed
After last night I don’t know, before I’d have said he would just ship without a second thought United at the end of the day are a massive club and villa are a big club
Unai is the type of manager that thrives with mid table teams, maybe because there's less pressure which allows him to apply his tactics without the fans and board critiquing him after every game
You know what I'm just going to say it, this Sunday witness the sacking of Ten Hag at Villa Park
@@Ps_Arnold he's not getting sacked because I don't think anyone wants the Man United job. He'll only get sacked if Man United are in the bottom half by 2025.

@@igotktfobyafoot-stomper3979 you're right. Given how slow this club operates, they'll hand the keys to Ruud until the end of the season. They won't risk hiring a big money coach now.
Getting rid of Gerrard was the best thing the club ever did.
Second best. His replacement was the best.
As a rival fan... Seeing Villa beat Bayern was beautiful to see. Well played lads
I think people are getting carried away with Emery here. Yes he's a good manager but he's not top tier with people like Klopp, pep, Arteta etc. Aston Villa, Sevilla, Villarreal is his level and he's probably the best manager in the world at that level currently
He wont go to a club like that. The Ferguson era has been and gone
These two couldn’t name our starting lineup…
💜💙🦁
I dont think the lazy united players would sit through all the Emery tapes of the opposition. He does well at smaller clubs that buy into the work ethic and preparation. I hope the villa players find it scalable now with all the extra pressures and games
Any manager who accepts the Man united job has questionable judgement.
In a 10 min video, Eric Ten Hag comes well after 8 mins. It's a villa discussion, not Ten Hag.

Thank God west ham didn't cough up the asking price for Duran.

Dortmund Vs Celtic

And Celtic loss 7-1 football is a mad game 😂
And why stats mean so little when analysing a game of football. Villa controlled the game without the ball, whereas Celtic were going toe to toe with a team they have no business trying to outplay
Didn't take long... We all like the underdog until it's time to feed the machine. Talksport, Sky Etc did exactly the same thing with Poch when he had Spurs on the rise.
Simon - "Aston Villa have a long way to go to catch up with the likes of Man City and Arsenal."
Liverpool - "Erm, hello?!?!?"
Unai has the rains at villa and recently was linked with barca but decided to sign a 7 year contract he will be with villa for another 4 seasons at least
This is the first time Simon's been correct about something football related for a long time now. I suppose like they say, even a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day. It's a shame Jim doesn't highlight everything Simon gets wrong like he highlighted this one thing Simon actually got right for a change.
People are forgetting something here. Ego! These people are full of it. I think I can be the one. That is what they believe.
Emery is not going anywhere. Villa have invested money into the club that Emery actually owns in Spain. It's not just a job, it's a relationship...
Not saying Emery wouldn’t leave villa for a madrid or Barcelona but don’t see him leaving for United… only have to look at the managers they’ve had since Ferguson and they’ve destroyed everyone’s reputation… emery’s just rebuilt his.
Villa can beat anyone on their day. They have one of the best managers in the game. Can see them going deep into this competition.
Gareth Southgate is the INEOS favourite, United fans like to kid themselves that other managers would be considered first.
I thought about emery a year ago. Never mentioned. I'd stay at villa and make a bigger name for myself
Emery has had big jobs in the past it’s not like he looking for his first one. he will leave Villa eventually but only if the right opportunity comes calling and that just isn’t United these days
He has been fired from all the big clubs he has managed so he is a villa size of a manager.
Simon Jordan was also right about Chelsea’s project
Should be illegal for Americans to say Prem eere league 💩💩💩
As a Villa fan the only team in the Prem I could see poaching him is Man City if Pep leaves in the summer or beyond. Liverpool have a new manager, hes been at Arsenal already and man utd are not an attractive job these days.
Unai Emery would be perfect for Manchester United 🎉
Unai has the keys to Villa Park. He's going nowhere. Unai to United is so uninformed, it's laughable!
He might leave one day, but it wouldn't be for utd. He has a boardroom full of ppl he knows and has worked with in Spain, owners that give him everything he wants (or as much as FFP allow), has family both at villa and real union....very few clubs are going to give him that kind of control.
Last night showed how strong the premier league is ..villa draw with ipswich then beat Bayern....
X The owners need to hold their nerve amidst this media torrade. They need to stand by their manager.
Anyone saying that he'd peave Villa in a heartbeat to go to Man Utd doesn't know what they're talking about.
Of course it will be in the media but its just lazy journalism.
Man Utd have had their time and they're finished.
Villa are a club on the rise.
He’s not going anywhere .He has complete control ..Hes running his own fantasy and it’s working ..
Can’t see it happening mid season. Could deffo see it in May/June. Unfortunately it would probably be career suicide for Emery
Pointless conversation about Emery joining utd...absolutely no chance of getting him.
Unai won't leave a big club for a much smaller one in United!
I would imagine turning down Manchester United would be hard to do no matter where they are right now.. the geezers not even been asked so who knows
He would be the only replacement I'd be happy with what a guy 🎉
Southgate however 😂😂😂😂
@@kameff_ Why does he have to mention Arsenal? a game that was played 5 weeks ago. Aston Villa has won several games after, why is the Arsenal loss still on his mind?
