When iwas in my 20s i gave a freind a lift to a party in my car he spoke these words to me "im gonna get myself a woman tonight what about you?"
It seemed abit nieve to think that way as i hardly knew anyone there .
When we sat down at the party he filled a jug of beer and we sat down at an emty table an surveyed the people, as you do.
After a few drinks i got up and started chating to some blokes my age and left him to his drinking .
A group of girls were chatting togeather and i was agonising trying to overcome my shyness ,it occured to me rather than trying to "get one" perhaps i could see if i could just talk to every woman at the party for fun and see what happened.
This attitude was a huge breakthrough for me, i was married within the year.
I still do that at parties,im still with my first wife 40 years later.
Not every attempt at conversation is succesfull but freindship is somthing to practice.

I remember years ago (1997), I met a woman who contacted me after I wrote her though a single column in a UK biker magazine. We chatted for over 6 hours on the phone and I had no idea what she looked like. When I met her, she was okay, but her personality was amazing and we hit it off straight away. It was very intense but when you have that chemistry with someone, looks really don't matter that much. When she broke up with me I felt destroyed.

*FERRIS MASTERY: Although, I have learned a lot from Tim over the years I fear the focus of this particular experiment falls short, because yes, knowing how to **_attract_** a mate is important, but "picking up" (dating) a person good for you is truly a mine field without the ability to quickly screen out "deal breakers" and decipher potential compatibility within an initial short conversation. I have mastered how to read body language, micro expressions, verbal cues, and use calibrated questions designed to covertly expose their true self within one 5-10min casual conversation while establishing rapport and drawing them. So trust me when I say, I had to master this for work and now strangers I interact with have no clue what I'm doing and may not understand why I didn't call them back after all.*

I respect that he wants to keep his opinions on the dates close to his chest, as to not insult any of the ones he didn’t choose. But I think from what little we saw, he had the most connection with the farmers market lady. Also, I think there’s an element where he feels the most rewarded by that interaction because he risked the most and therefore accomplished the most with her. (I swear you could tell a change in his demeanor after that. He was more confident.) I would think that interaction as their initial meeting will lead to more attraction (from both parties) than the other ones

I enjoyed the video, but as a European woman, it does not make any sense to me to invite your 3 crushes at the same event. In France, women would walk away because it would be considered as really disrespectul. This is not a job interview; you want to see if you vibe with the person, and how can you really be yourself, relax and flirt a little if all your competitors are in the same room? This is really capitalism applied to dating, where emotions and people become commodities. Also, I think that if you're obsessed with a certain type of rib cage, the matchmaker has to explain to you that it shouldn"t be a criteria to identify your soulmate.
A friend was asking me why dating was hard in the US. (I live on the East Coast). I told her that most American men were paralysed in front of women and did not know how to approach them. She couldn't believe it!
Finally, since the audience of this channel seems to focus on science rather emotions or intuition, I recommend the book "How not to die alone", by Logan Ury.
    thanks for readying!

It's the creativity that Tim delivers the efficiency. He brought science for the logical types. Men tend to try to fix everything , in relationships also , instead of confident social interaction. I've seen women bring her men friends together so who will fight for her. This bar scene too crowded, not enuff one-to-one. That's a good book rec.

BTW I had read here and there some tips and followed this strategy: 1. have at least one black and white photo; 2. for men - look at the camera and smile with no teeth, for women - look away from the camera and smile with teeth, 3. have at least one full body photo (duh), 4. have a photo wearing red (red dress for example). But guess what, I'm a woman and everyone swipes on me. It doesn't get really easier to assess potential real life dates, and I think these tricks are mainly for men. Men actually don't put any effort in their profiles, I notice. If I see someone with zero stuff written, I swipe away. Potentially not being able to write.

I've learned there is no need for any pickup tricks.
And that the base mindset of pickup of "learning to pick up women" stems from a need to be validated by the opposite sex. the only way forward is to realize you don't need this validation, otherwise you're "dependent" on fishing for women's attention
Instead, you talk to a person, and listen, and you do not have "strategy" or use "tricks" because there is no agenda but to be aware of the other person in the present

The day game part was terrible imo, opening up with a random question/fake scenario puts the conversation in a weird rhythm, hard to transition the conversation to about them, best thing to do is to approach them and ask them a question about THEM, and then talk about each other and build a connection. "Hey I like your {accessory you noticed and liked} how did you decide to get that?"
Also don't just stuff down approach anxiety, dive deeper into that anxiety and ask yourself why am I feeling this? There was a guy on youtube handing out tiny gold bars on the street and people kept turning him down because he seemed like he was handing out pamphlets, but none of that rejection bothered him because he knew deep down inside he was offering something of high value... rejection was THEIR loss not his! When you frame all of your approaches in this mindset of "I am of high value" then approach anxiety melts away because you properly re-framed you fear of rejection

  • @hombrealagua

OK, Dear Tim, I'm halfway the video and this is painful to watch. I think dating is one of those things that you can't really deconstruct, strategize or over-intellectualize. I'm thinking at this point about for example those UA-camrs that just go out there and talk to a girl and ask for the phone just because they like her. That's what worked for me, just being brutally honest, girls or women like when someone has confidence and determination, it makes them feel good as well as of course telling them what they like to listen, but this has to be honest, not a strategy! This is how I met most of my girlfriends and this is how I met my wife, I actually met her at a classroom and I asked her in front of everyone what was her favorite movie Director and favorite music group, just like that, freaky I know, but eventually she married me. Just go out, forget about apps, that is not going to end well, the normal process of dating and meeting someone has to be natural unless you want to date a robot, then go to Tinder, the best example in movies is a little bit corny but it's the scene in Meet Joe Black of how they meet. It's like that. Cheers!

    • @Tomsonx232
      @Tomsonx232 11 місяців тому +6

every single human to human interaction can be deconstructed and better understood... you would think comedians are just people who get up on a stage and they just "be funny" but they craft their routine down to a science, they look back at tape and see what works and what doesn't... that being said yeah I think the in-person pickup part of the video missed a lot of important points (such as addressing the approach anxiety)
