Welome and Blessing JP to USA
Shabbat shalom ! Thank you for reposting this weeks portion. That being said, is anyone else getting interrupted by comercials every 5 minutes ? Its so distracting to me. Shalom
We don't monetize the channel so that's all Google.
@@TheWayBiblicalFellowship Yes, I understand. I just miss being able to stream the portion without worldly interruptions. Is their anything that we can do? UA-cam has froze my add blocker from blocking their adds any longer. Thx
Personally, I stopped running ad blockers on UA-cam because its their business model to run adverts and I don't want to take videos for free if they should cost something.
@@TheWayBiblicalFellowshipThat's a very good and valid point. It just doesn't solve my problem of the distraction it causes. My best option is to just read the portions . Thanks
I know about bad internet connection here in rural Midwest. It takes me 24 hours to load a 30minute video!
That's extreme.
@@TheWayBiblicalFellowship yup. I am less than 5 minutes from a college. 🤦
Could you please tell me the Best copy of the Torah I should buy?. I have followed you & Charlie for a full year now just used my Bible; however, I'm to the point now, where I would Love to have my own copy of the Torah. I want to read it constantly, so I need one. So I thank you for your time & suggestion. Shalom.--Tara (Southern Illinois, USA)
I don't know what they use, but if you go to Bear Independent, you can get a copy of the Scripture for their cost. I use the et Cepher. The Hebrew translation is a lot better, but it is a more advanced copy. It's also expensive. It was a gift. The Scripture is $15 and is very similar to what JP is reading. You can download a copy of the et Cepher for about $22 on Kindle. You can also use eSword for free and get a 66 book copy of the Cepher for free. The full copy has 80 or so books from the 1611 KJV. eSword is very helpful because you can download multiple copies of different translations for free. I personally prefer having a hard copy, but cost is a thing! YHVH bless you and keep you!
The Scripture uses YHVH (Hebrew letters) for His name. Otherwise it's all transliterated
Personally, I would steer clear of the Eth Cepher, it mixes other books in with scripture and from just my limited exposure to it, it has many translational and doctrinal issues.
I suppose it depends on what you mean by a copy of the Torah. The Torah is to many people, the first five books of the Bible, although actually it is just Yah's law. I think there are Jewish copies of the first five books but really I would just stick with your Bible and read the first five books out of it. Many of these translations with a Hebrew focus have the bad doctrine of the translators front and center. There are doctrinal issues with the more well known English translations, but the more kooky doctrines that people who have discovered Torah more recently have taken on board are almost forced upon the reader with the Hebrew focused translations. I think the King James version is probably the best all round, but no translation is what I would call very good.
The huge problem we have with translations from Hebrew and Greek is that the doctrine of the translator so heavily influences their translation.
The absolute best advice I could give would be to try to learn some Hebrew and Greek and use blueletterbible.org to study any passages you are interested in. Throughout the Torah portions we have broken down many Hebrew and Greek passages to give a clearer understanding of what is being said and those videos are all available going back seven years.
It seems like what you want is a copy of the first five books of the Bible on their own though and I can't really help you with that because I don't know of any. As I say, I would just read the first five books of your Bible whenever you want to. The rest of the scriptures bring the Torah to life and give us good application of it and real world events wherein it was either practiced or not practiced and the outcomes thereof. So I don't even think of it being separate from the first five books in any meaningful way.
@@awalkthroughtorah6897 Thank you so much for the information. Very helpful. Bless you.
@@TheWayBiblicalFellowship Thank you so much, brother. This was extremely helpful to me. I had never thought about the Torah being separate either until I saw it as a book of it's own on amazon. I thought maybe it would give me a set up or contents just as you & Charlie do your lessons (when you jump to other books & verses outside the Torah).
However, if it is just the first 5 books, then the Bible would be best, I agree.
I did, however, want a Study Bible also, is that available with the blueletter edition Bible?
Thanks again JP. I really appreciate your time & education. Bless you.
