Junior worked the drive thrus during the offseasons at his Wendy’s…Dude is what everyone should aspire to be
Dude's like Junior Bridgeman are never highlighted for maybe two reasons. One, the media is not interested in pushing a narrative of intelligent athletes doing extremely well after their career is over. Two: These guys are too busy to be holding convos on that they're trying to achieve -they're too busy doing it consistently. Junior Bridgeman, Vinny the Microwave Johnson, Dave Bing, retired Minnesota State Supreme Court Judge Alan Page, Dr. Samkon Gado, the list is endless.
It's the narrative! Only to show who fail..
I think your right. There needs to be a podcast on successful players after basketball.
Well it’s more so it’s not exciting to own Wendy’s. It’s entertainment, so media likes entertainment
@@davidyu9747😮 be quiet 🤫
That crazy. The media is not interested in pushing the narrative on successful intelligent athletes? All they have to do is speak up but they choose not to. Too many people blame the media for EVERYTHING! An intelligent athlete is just like any intelligent person out there and we don't here about those people either. I guess if you put "athlete" in front, it makes them special.
i've never heard of Mr. Bridgeman...this is why I LOVE this podcast.
Junior Bridgeman was an excellent 6th man for the Milwaukee bucks in the 80s. Another great part of the story about his success is the fact that his son and daughter both got their masters degrees and they are actively involved with running the various businesses. He created his family's generational wealth.
Being from Milwaukee, we all knew who he was.
You are not an old head and watched basketball. We all knew him
Charles Barkley is one of the best sports personalities on TV.
Representing southern Africa Zimbabwe 🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼
Shout out to Junior Bridgeman, East Chicago, IN's own straight outta the 219!!!
Mr. Bridgeman didn’t just work hard he worked smart. He understood the employer signing his checks would always make more than the employee getting it so he decided to be an employer.
Shannon, please interview Junior Bridgemen. Thanks
$600 million..... That's incredible
Yup..... not yet a billionaire but nothing to laugh at.. ..
The internet has no true clue of net worth of celebs...Barkley is likely to have a better understanding of what Junior has going on...he didn't just arbitrarily through a billion out there without a bit of insider info
Easy work for him
Love your style, keep rocking it!
Vinnie Johnson should be mentioned more he is a great businessman i.e. Piston Motor Group 500 million plus Company
Vinnie 007 Johnstonnnnnn
Ulysses Lee "Junior" Bridgeman (born September 17, 1953) is an American businessman and former professional basketball player. Bridgeman played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for twelve years from 1975 until 1987, beginning with the Milwaukee Bucks. Bridgeman is the current owner of Ebony and Jet magazines. Despite never making more than $350,000 a season during his NBA career, Bridgeman has a net worth of over $600 million, making him one of the wealthiest former athletes in the world. Source Wikipedia
Impressive. Worked hard and worked smart

If people just paused a moment and "LISTENED" to Sir Charles Barkley, he is consistently dropping gems and blessing your life in his REAL TALK, straight-up with no-chaser, take ir or leave it way! I just love that he is allergic to sugar-coating the truth.💯
Love the Message🔥❤️👍🏾
Real Men(Experienced & Mature)always drop knowledge, trying to help the next line of Men! Be Wise Brothers!
Hey, don't go knocking Vienna sausages, Shay.
I'd learned about him 5 years ago, while on vacation in San Diego. I was and still am very impressed with work ethic and will.
Junior Bridgeman exemplifies humility, resourcefulness, execution, and hard work. Transitioning from $350K to becoming a billionaire in an era without social media, relying solely on pure business acumen, he sets the blueprint for success.
"i can't see the rims when I'm in the car" 😂
Mr. Bridgeman is worth 600 million.. He's 70 years old. He is an American success story.
Thanks Mr. Charles
CLUB SHAY 🔉 💯💪🏿❤️
Shout out to Vinny " Microwave " Johnson...net worth $400-600 million 🙏🏾🙌🏾💪🏾
Heard of Him(Mr. Junior) 20yrs ago but you couldn't really find much on him because He wasn't a Big Name Ball player but He was making Big player moves off the Court.
Vinnie Johnson
Piston Automotive.
The real deal.
Facts Charles and use Ocho to talk to them new recruits how to spend their money and then used Bridgeman to advise them financially
I truly learned a lot from this pod cast can I get a autograph please 🙏🏽
A amazing story
$350,000 in 1975 would be worth $2.1 million today
its impressive that he turn it up to a businesses worth 600 millions
Definitely worth more than that the way they taxing us
@@KALICOE even more impressive
He owned the Wendy’s in Englewood NJ, super nice gentleman when I met him
"u still eat pig feet? I do" 😂
$350k 40 years ago was like $2 million today. He made plenty of money. If NBA players had higher IQs on average, there would be hundreds of billionaires coming out of the league instead of disproportionately high bankruptcy rates.
This is correct. There is 0 reason why these guys cant live off of simple the INTEREST from 1 mili.
Why do all of these clips contain the same footage????
350k in the 80’s is ALOT OF MONEY! I wish I had that type of head start. It’s equivalent to $1,326,652.91 today.
They making me hungry ❤️🤪
I hope the young athlete take your financial advice...
Sardines really isn't a poor man's dish. They're Healthy 4u.
You cannot appease people you have to just do you!!!
I'm not a fan of CHARLENE but....
HE'S DEFINITELY CORRECT ABOUT "JUNIOR" BRIDGEMAN!!!
What is/are the restaurants that Jr. Bridgeman owns..??
Keon Coleman wore a jacket from Macy's. He will be rich beyond basketball.
I'm genuinely impressed with REAL SELF-MADE billionaires like this. Pretty sure he has done bs to become a billionaire too but nearly the way 99.9% of these billionaires.
Chick got a 100 million contract with TNT he is set
Proud member of my beloved Fraternity...Alpha Phi Alpha..🤙
3:53 Staying with Charles' base number of $200,000 with the current market set at 5.0% annually, including compound interest would be $530,659.54 with before taxes. You're better off doing a backdoor Roth IRA like Mitt Romney.
Ever hear of Tiger Woods?
Barkley blew millions on gambling.
Nobody talks about him.... If he was gangster though
Chuck, quit lying!! Dr. J didnt tell you to buy a Kia!!😅😅😅 They didnt come to the US until a year after you left Philly!!😅😅
You missed the point of reference.
@@loukhryst.7366 no, I missed nothing. You're assuming. I was making a joke!! Did you not see the emotion? But I was right on both points.
Junior Bridgeman? Never heard of him.
Football not basketball

No, he was an NBA player for 12 seasons - I Googled it.

I take issue with the notion that individuals don't owe anything to their parents. Consider the case of Kobe Bryant-his parents invested heavily in his development, and it's only fair that they be compensated in return. This idea of independence from familial responsibilities is starkly contrasted by the values of other cultures where mutual investment is the norm: parents nurture their children, and in turn, children support their parents. This reciprocal relationship helps advance the entire community. The prevalent Western ideology that emphasizes individualism over collective family obligations is not only detrimental to societal cohesion but also undermines the foundational structures of family.
I respectfully disagree with you. Kids don't ask to be here like he stated that is there JOB when they decide to have you. You don't owe them anything.
My dad used to always tell me, “you don’t get rewarded for doing what’s expected of you”. So no you don’t owe your parents anything other than just being a good person
Yes but the moral is supporting wealth thru our Kobe helped not spread the Bryant name and bloodline thru is dad . Don't give but help with business like Kobe dad mom sister all went to college how about a few business were you still get your money back then you back out you give owner ship I don't know not everyone but I'm just different
@phonehome7097 never go into business with family for one. And two youvsaid they college educated so why couldn't they start they own businesses?
@@mrpatterson2298 don't go into business with them then you shouldn't go with strangers either educated good family and friends but why not buy some rental property and rent them out get your money back on one property hear mom dad sister so you have some money coming in and I can look myself in the mirror and say I did do what I feel is expected to help my family generation and I can say anything to lend or give to know in my heart I tried it work or it didn't. But I can't look myself in the mirror knowing I left my family behind everyone has there own blessing
Pig feet is very nutritious to eat
Chuck y’all 5ms worth like 15 now tho lol
FIRST
I remember meeting senior bridgeman back in the day jr is just like him. 😮
Only 350k, to play a sport. Insane. People with real jobs are struggling.
Wish Kobe's parents thought like Grant Hills parents who misses out on their kids wedding and didn't go to his funeral
