Definitely. I wouldn't recommend the "eating during call" tip at all. There's actually a much better tip that accomplishes the same result: time constraint. When you first call her, say "I only have ten minutes or so, I'm actually on my way to _____" and this not only shows value but makes it less awkward on her since it she won't be worried about being stuck in a long boring call with no easy way to exit.
