Excellent video. Excellent adventure! Only two or three mentions of coffee by Mat, though, which surprised me. I was rather expecting to see him set up the stove at the summit of each peak and brew a cup.
Thanks. I think we went into it with the attitude that it would be a fun challenge even if we didn't make the 24 hours. That definitely helped. Cheers 👍
That was awesome. Well done. I need to do this. Nice tarniog views. I see the snow has melted a bit up Ben Nevis. Good to see Mat is still mispronouncing everything.
Amazing achievement boys, especially as you're slightly mature in age 😊(not vintage 😉) well done. Beautiful views too, obviously I can't comment on the dark ones. Even the sheep looked at you like you were both mental! 🤣 Great challenge and even time to spare, impressive.
It seemed that you were both functioning remarkably well at the end, given the physical and mental exhaustion you must have been feeling. I believe your young friend Ross' tremors on the way to your final climb were a sign of muscle fatigue and exhaustion; ones body temperature drops at night, so you were correct in as much as the body starts to drop your temperature when you haven't let it sleep in an attempt to make you sleep. Lastly, I enjoyed the lack of forced tension, the very nature of the task carries it's own tension as one follows along, any attempt to force it would have ruined it for me.
Thanks. I think we were on a bit of a high at the end. Your information regarding body temperature at night and the reasons for a drop in temperature are very interesting. I had no idea. Ross will read this too and I'm sure he'll find it interesting too. Thanks for commenting.
Yes I remember we considered that option, I think this option was likely to lead to hitting traffic after scafell near Manchester though? I can't remember exactly but I know we went with the option that missed peak traffic times as we read it was the most common cause of missing the 24 hour cut off. Thanks for watching.
I’m probably late to the game as per, but it’s Loch Low-mond and Scar-fell Pike (...end of anal pedantry ...) 😬 Another great video guys, and very well done 👍
A little late on the Loch Lomond correction as you'd imagine. I had no idea about Scafell Pike though. I will know for the next time I do the three peaks challenge.....the earliest being 2085.
@@matryderadventures haha yes, you must've felt it the next day as both you and Ross appeared ok at the end of the video. I had the luxury of almost getting some sleep on the minibus between peaks. If ever you need or want a pronunciation correction officer between Derbyshire and Shetland then I'm your nerd. Gotta dash now, I've just noticed that someone is being wrong on the internet... 👮
🤣 I think I may require your services full time. I could actually research pronunciations but that would be too sensible. I think the adrenaline was keeping us going. I know how I felt on the final descent and it's not how I appear in the video. It's good to hear from a fellow Three Peaks Challenger ( I think that's grammatically correct).
@@matryderadventures I could do cheap rates for fellow Challengers but then I’d lose position on my high horse. Indeed, adrenaline has a lot to answer for, without it I’d probably have less scars and more money. So you used your privileges as a UA-cam Influencer to edit out the final descent shakes!? Your grammatical correctness is impressive btw. Thanks again for another humorous video Mat 👍
The fact that it didn't seem like much of a challenge for you lads really says a lot. Great job.
We definitely felt it by the end. You didn't see the following day where I was crawling around the house, whimpering. Cheers 👍
The addition of the map is brilliant

I've drank so little coffee I think I've broken the addiction!!! It won't last. Cheers 👍
Fantastic effort boys you both had a great mind set from start to finish !!
Thanks. I think we went into it with the attitude that it would be a fun challenge even if we didn't make the 24 hours. That definitely helped. Cheers 👍
Absolutely amazing 👏 congratulations 🎊 spectacular views.enjoying all your videos. Thank you
Thanks. We were very lucky to get such amazing weather and even more amazing views. I'm glad you're enjoying the videos. Thanks for commenting 👍

Cheers Wilky. Thanks for watching. It amazes me that people from all different countries watch my stupid videos 👍

Thanks. It was hard but we had a great time. I find it funny that you consider Ross to be mature. He loves that!!! Good 🤣
Sorry Ross!🤣I didn't mean to offend him, but if he were a professional footballer, he would be mature 😉
If he were a professional lawn bowlsman he would be a junior (Ross can take credit for this comment).
🤣🤣🤣🤣not a touchy subject then
Wow Math that was hard. I like Ross he never grizzles 😊 .
🤣🤣🤣 He never does!! I'll tell him you said that.
Trust the Welshman to find a sheep 🐑 in the dark!!😂
You should have seen me trying to get it in the boot. We didn't film that.

The biggest tip is start up Ben Nevis at 1800 hours. That means you can climb all the hills in daylight.

Your were supported, you had a car 🤔 but I understand, it’s a play on words but if you have the time , why not 👍
Walk between the peaks!!! Maybe one day 🤣🤣. Cheers 👍
Snowdon from pen y pass?? Your already half way up? If you’d done llanberis you wouldn’t have done??
Yes we went with all the shortest routes that are recognised as options for the challenge.
I did this back in 2012 but we cycled between them to limit our environment impact.
That sounds amazing! I've just had a quick look at your channel. It looks really interesting. I'll subscribe. Cheers.

You should have had a driver. Dangerous.
I disagree. We both know when we're unable to drive safely and will stop. That was our agreement from the beginning.
"Mount" Snowdon. You can't even get the name of the hill right. Says it all about this pathetic ego trip.
