LHOBA TANI Shannan=Lhoka, both means south of a mountain. As a geographical region it include the Monpa territories, the westernmost part of Lhopa territory, and a much larger Tibetan area in the north all the way to the southern edge of Lhasa. This is taken in Doyü Village, Doyü Township, Lhünzê County, Lhoka Prefecture, Tibet. On Google Maps it's mislabeled with its Mandarin transcription Douyucun.
Colonel 13 Miguba are in the east and close to Adi and Ta'ngam. They're most probably Bangni or some non-Tani tribes under Lhoba nationality attached to Bangni.

I just saw a movie "Soul of Himalaya" so I came here to check out about the lobha tribe of China to make sure do they really look like us and language they speak are similar to us or not but it's Chinese 😁. I'm from a Nyishi tribe, decendent of Abo Tani, worship Doni, Polo god, Live in Arunachal Pradesh, India. It's is believe that my particular tribe "Kojam" came in India from Tibet to invade other tribes but couldn't go back and had settled here. I love to seeing this all.... love you ❤️. We use to called Nyasang and Libha tani people also called Nyasang. Because papum pare District called as nishi now a days. We are wrongly divided under two countries. Really we missed them since 60,70 years

one "problem" for those people is the modernization. with better and better education, young people start leaving for bigger cities and take better jobs, those remote villages are losing young generations. it is great that lhoba people can have better education, better living standard and better living environment, but gotta figure out a way to keep their culture and villages alive.

I’m a Han Chinese. I think what’s called Lhoba in China may not appear to be a homogeneous group in your eyes. Lhoba is a name given by Tibetans, meaning people of the south, to refer to the people near the McMahon Line who are related to tribes in Arunachal. So sometimes the Lhoba people shown by Chinese TV programs may closely resemble your tribe, but sometimes may not so much.
Our government is always much better to these minorities than our Han Chinese. Their houses are much bigger than our condos in the cities.😒 and theirs are free and we have to buy...
