MR LOVERMAN - Complete Ashfur MAP

- Mr Loverman follows Ashfur after his death, showing how he goes on to possess Bramblestar. In this map you see his distaste for those he believes wronged him and how his actions affected them, even after his death.
After 3 years in the making Mr Loverman is finally done! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for helping finish this wonderful project! This map was co-hosted with my best friend @purrfectpal who did tons for this map and made it the project it is today. For as many Ashfur maps as there are out there I had never seen one focus on him after his death leading up to the broken code, so the idea that he would always be there really made sense, it gave his character a scarier feeling when you know he knows exactly what he’s doing, something I feel the original books failed to show. I absolutely love how both Ashfur and Bramblestar are not seen as good cats, Bramblestar being neglectful of his mate and kits, and Ashfure being over protective and just straight up insane is honestly just great
I would say Bramblestar just loves his clan more than Squirrelflight and thinks that if his wife is deputy he should treat her more strictly... I don't like their relationship, it's toxic, but I understand Bramblestar's motives. He is good leader but bad mate. It doesn't make him a bad cat as a whole, why can't we define grey zones?
Bramblestar never neglected his kits, and Squirrelflight wasn't any better than he was, he had valid motives for his actions
@@aeug5563I mean. No not really, he kinda ignored them completely after he found out they weren’t his. And squirrelflight was pressured both by her sister and literal cat heaven, so you probably would have made the same choice

seeing how he acted with the kits makes me want an AU of this arc where instead of being awful he actually treats everyone well when possessing bramble. that'd be a real twist lol
just had an au idea where bramble is evil so ashfur who in the au accepted squirrelflights love for bramble and was killed during avos possessing bramble for good, after squirrelflights hope in universe brambles the one who takes over riverclan (brokencode doesnt happen before it) and pretends to be doing it for the safety of the whole leadship thing but plans on taking the land for thunderclan (everyclan is equal but some are just more equal then others lol) so ashfur gets someone to kill bramble so that he can be possessed (starclan doesnt approve of it because of the whole not messing with cats business accept for when they do) bramble basically gets half possessed where sometimes hes not possessed and sometimes he is so across the arc ashfur has to use his time in brambles body wisely to try to peacefully resolve things possibly at threat of going to the dark forest for what hes done. squirrelflight finds out about the possession thing about halfways through this version of the broken code after ashfur tries to keep it a secret to not involve her and not get her caught up in it. just came up with this in like one min so idk if ill do anything with it but i think its neat lol
@@BugsyBugYTOh dude I really like that omg. The fact he can only possess bramble sometimes also adds an interesting layer where the personality will be flipping back n forth.

Amazing project !! I love the idea of Ashfur's ghost hanging around Thunderclan after he died, almost like he can't believe he did, and stewing in his envy until the occasion presented itself to take back control over a life that ended too soon for his liking.

This was such a fantasic map, congrats to all who contributed! Ashfur made my skin crawl in The Broken Code, he was willing to destroy so much just "impress" Squirrelflight, and wouldn't take no for an answer. I only wish Hollyleaf had been involved more the second time
That’s exactly why I liked him in The Broken Code. He was written pretty alright there in my opinion

01:52 this part has got to be my favourite!! The expressions are so well done and you can see exactly what is passing through Ashfur's mind once he realises what is actually happening, and that this is not his reality.. incredible work 🫶🫶

love how the song can actually relate to the rootspring pmv, and that's why i love this, as well as everyone who worked on it did a amazing job.
it's always such a treat to see more tbc centric ashfur maps!! the fire scene is cool and all, there is a reason it's been utilized so much, but it's been done so many times over a decade and a half so it's just a breath of fresh air yk? also from a narrative standpoint this map perfectly illustrates how ashfur never felt the need to reflect on the fire that in his mind was just a result of squirrelflight rejecting him that moment that rejection is what he considers the cause of his death and the cause of all his actions it's his justification for behaving this way it all leads back to that moment
Man I thought this was gonna be an AU where the ghost of Ashfur watched how bramblestar treated squirrelflight and then took over his body to be a better mate for squirrelflight and a better father to the kits
Absolutely insane map!!! Nuts how good this animation is. I love the part with Ashfur reaching out to alderkit only to be walked right through, really interesting humanising moment for his nastiness!!
im just thinking now how better the plot wouldve been if ashfur turned evil and possessed bramblestar because bramblestar didnt care about his kits or squirrelflight and mistreated his mate by not listening to her at all, it wouldve been such a better plot
OOOGHHGHOGH this whole map is an Instant fave omg... going absolutely Bonkers over the storytelling, Especially that little bit where he *almost* gets soft with the kits, but then it Immediately goes out the window again the second he's even Remotely reminded of how everyone else "spited" him... Just such a good map, and every artist knocked it out of the PARK on this one, y'all did amazing!!!! ;w;;;
I like to think that when Ashfur looked at Spark n Alder with what appeared to be love in his eyes he was living a momentary fantasy where he was the kits father. That he had two children who looked just like Squirrelflight. It's why he seems so thrown off and angry when they run past him. It's realization that they don't see him and never will as their father.
1:55 the way ashfurs face brightens up immediately when he thinks the kits see him is adorable

I dont comment on videos but god i love this map so much. I love the fact that when he sees bramble being a bad father he genuinely seems to care and wish to play with squirrels kits. He looks like hes about to chage YET as soon as he sees an opportunity to win squirrelflight back he takes it. Ashfur is awful i love him
Fantastic job, everyone! I adored the animation especially when Possessed Bramble does a head swivel and then brushes an appalled Squirrelflight with his tail. Its such a "I've done no wrong" move

Very good Ashfur map! Just like how it happened in the book. Good job! This last past series was sooooo good. It reminded me of the early books from the prior seriers.

Ghost Ashfur was still in love with Squirrelflight? I think he had a lot of resentment and hatred towards her and enjoyed that Bramblestar didn't pay attention to her

au where after ashfur dies he lives in constant rage for hollyleaf killing him and constantly blames and hates both squilf and bramble because squilf rejected him and bramble took squilf from him. but as time goes on and he sees that now both squilf and bramble had kits it absolutely breaks him, which then he sees how bramble is neglecting them and squilf is upset. ashfur takes it on himself and watches over the kits, somehow convincing himself they’re his and watching over them and caring for them when squilf and bramble would have their arguments. ashfur would become like a second parental figure to them, besides squilf of course. and then as the kits, who i forgot to mention are sparkpelt and alderheart, become warriors/medicine cat that’s when ashfur reveals himself and states how proud he is of them and promises squilf is too even if she seems distant, she’s just been hurt too many times and is scared to trust again. and then after ashfur makes good with squilf he goes up to starclan and meets with ferncloud and brindleface, finally resting:)
the fact his sadness goes to anger kills me.

Um, was i the only one who noticed squirrelflights pelt was colored weird? Orrrrrr was that just me 😅. This was a great map tho! Its not often you find an ashfur map that isnt super exagerated, yk? This one was a nice change, and i like dit a lot better than most of the ones ive seen!

To be honest about this I'd rather have ash'fur and squirrelflight be mate's because I think Ashford would treat her better than brambleclaw has and I like the agreement that ash'fur will be a better leader than brambleclaw but that is my point. Who agrees with me ?

Let's face it, neither Ashfur nor Brambleclaw were good mates to Squilf. She would have been better off in a half-clan relationship with Stormfur. Honestly my heart breaks every time I read 2nd series and farther. No one deserves being treated like that 😢😢
