I was just talking to my husband about money fears, bills, and things we need. After watching this, I realized I've been selfish; we have food, water, transportation, a home, land, a beautiful weenie dog, and our bodies are functioning normally, we can eat and drink and breathe and walk without help or medicine. When you use the the lowest common dominator, to measure your life , relationships , money ,where your at in life always looks a little better, then your to count your blessings ? but I think everybody wants a little better life ( maybe have enough to for a trip , vacation for the family, a little newer car, what have you ) When I was younger and I bought my first house , and my dad came over to look at it , and the first thing he said to me was " There now you have something now you'll spend the rest of your life trying to hang on to it " I guess that could go for romantic relationships too ? I think you need air of fear to keep you on toes, - God providing isn't about sitting on you backside waiting for a check ever month to drop from heaven - For some pastors might think that to be true ?

But I will receive whatever God brings to my disposal since well he is the One who opens doors and closes doors. My Father already knows what i need before i brought it to him and he knows what's best for me and what i need the most. My Shepherd, my Father, my King, my Generous Father who delights in freely giving and providing for his flock will care for me ❤️. My whole trust and hope is on him ❤

As a father- He chose us to have the kingdom, so don't fear, He knows we need enough for Eating and drinking & other needs, 3. Know him as your king- The king provides for the kingdom & rules justly & works for our benefit, trust Him as father & king 4. We magnify him as free & generous, he gives u the kingdom not sell it to u, so u don't need to work on your fear @ cheques & bills, We battle fear and anxiety daily, he doesn't fold back his hands & stare at u, saying maybe he will provide. 5. He's happy in his giving & lavish coz he loves to do it- its his pleasure to give us, he's generous & helpful, Preach these things to yourself & attack your doubts and fears, anxiety with these truths so that when you overcome these fears, God will be glorified. Let these 5 glorious things shine out of your life & you may be helpful and not stressed despite your financial situation, so someone may ask you how & u can ask them if u can share 5 things about your God, thus testifying & he shall be worshipped.
I rarely if ever comment on UA-cam videos but I would like to take this opportunity because I think it can benefit others to hear from another perspective. I love the majority of Piper money messages; However, they're typically catered to middle class individuals. Im pretty sure the John Piper is making six figures a year even though he CHOOSES to give ALL OF HIS BOOK ROYALTIES to Desiring God. This great sacrifice for the Kingdom should and must be commended. However the reason why I am typing this pertains to my upbringing, coming from the projects where no one understands fiscal responsibility, and many are stuck in a chain of low-level work, low income, petty crime and cannot seem to get out of those circumstances. We as blacks also struggle with having horrible ambitions in life, and often only see sports and entertainment as our way out of these ghetto areas. The young black man needs to understand the value of fiscal responsibility and education so telling him that WE ALL live check the check is by no means the best message. The reason why THE MAJORITY OF AMERICANS (all races) live check to check more times than not (the numbers show) is because we are terrible with managing our money. I included! However, I PERSONALLY know many who are not in the CHECK-TO-CHECK SITUATION, and it's not because they all had a great lot in life. NO! It's primarily because they were TAUGHT how to be responsible with their money. But the process has to start somewhere, and the ghetto doesn't have those type of role models in them. The only ones there with a lot of money are typically drug dealers. we also fall into status seeking as Piper frequently correctly points out, and we just "have to get" a new car. We care about what others think; hence we have to get the biggest house on the block. Many young blacks (not I) absolutely love rap music, and it often results in many negative outcomes. The denigration of our women, the glorification of drug dealing, violence, fornication etc. But one of the primary distortions it brings to young black males is an improper view of finances. It has you thinking that you should spend the income tax check some new rims for your vehicle and everyone in the house including the two-year-old baby has to get two new pair of Jordan sneakers. The rap game makes it as though you should be rich by the age of 25 since they see all of the rappers holding up money stacks, and that you should get it fairly easily without hard work dedication and education. No rapper talks about mutual funds, 401ks IRAs, and or any other investment. This is one of the issues I'm currently struggling with sports as well. I love sports but the contracts are becoming so large so early that it disincentivizes young black's males to study hard in school. They rightly understand that sports can be a legitimate way to change their entire family's fortune, but WE ALL KNOW that we can only TRULY FOCUS on certain amount of skill sets. I heard Voddie once say that in Compton the black kids ABSOLUTLEY KNEW that they WOULD CRUSH the "little white guys in sports, but they ALL became MIRACULOUSELY gravely inept in the classroom. I just watching him smh because I KNOW from experience that he was telling the truth. I just want to reintegrate how much I am truly blessed and love Piper's balance on these issues. I often use his verses and even share these videos with my middle-class friends. But again, for poor blacks (or whatever term you would like to use since poor is no doubt relative in American society today as compared to the world), they need more messages about educational ambitions, family building, GETTING MARRIED AND HAVING A WIFE NOT BABY MAMAS (PLURAL), fiscal responsibility, and yes certainly not MAKING MONEY AN IDOL so we fear not having it.

I think at least part of the point of this is that the fear of money is not dealt with by having more money but instead trusting God and all he has promised. This must be practiced whether rich or poor. Fearing God, rather than money, is the beginning of wisdom. Wisdom that kills off covetousness and greed often leads to better financial positions which then is merely an added bonus but not the thing sought after.

He worries about his home and all the cares we all have trying to work and pay our bills To be suddenly incapacitated and .afraid is like a nightmare. He has many friends but most are far away. God knows his needs. God loves him we love him but are poor people in money. But we have God's heart and want to help. We offer our many prayers up for him and thank our Lord and Savior to do what is best for all of us. Yes. I’m a retiree living on a fixed pension. Inflation, thanks to Biden (and Biden thanks to you), has caused me to be fear-full over money. I find it ironic for you to be sounding the “do not fear” trumpet when you, yourself, provided the basis for my fear. Thankfully, my faith in God far in a way transcends anything you could ever do or say.
I'll be honest, I'm getting overwhelmed because, I don't have money to live (buy food). The Nigerian economy is terrible right now.... I know we're not supposed to look at the economy. But in about 3 weeks I am supposed to resume seminary, i need about $100-200, just to go. But in Nigeria that's 150-300,000 naira, which is almost impossible to come by. And jobs are not readily available, degree or not (I don't have a degree yet). Now, I know God can do something about it, I have no doubt. But I am getting overwhelmed.... Pray for me please. It's just 3 weeks

I’m a retiree living on a fixed pension. Inflation, thanks to Biden (and Biden thanks to you), has caused me to be fear-full over money. I find it ironic for you to be sounding the “do not fear” trumpet when you, yourself, provided the basis for my fear. Thankfully, my faith in God far in a way transcends anything you could ever do or say.
I'll be honest, I'm getting overwhelmed because, I don't have money to live (buy food). The Nigerian economy is terrible right now.... I know we're not supposed to look at the economy. But in about 3 weeks I am supposed to resume seminary, i need about $100-200, just to go. But in Nigeria that's 150-300,000 naira, which is almost impossible to come by. And jobs are not readily available, degree or not (I don't have a degree yet). Now, I know God can do something about it, I have no doubt. But I am getting overwhelmed.... Pray for me please. It's just 3 weeks
