Yes purple is their color :) “A Guide to BTS: The Bangtan 7” on YT goes more into depth on their whole story and each member. If you haven’t heard Letter Dear Army Live, Face Off, Angel pt 1 and Set me free pt 2 by Jimin they’re also good. He’s so versatile. I also recommend checking out his solo dance compilation videos (there are 2 I believe) he is an amazing dancer💜
I found BTS three years ago. I think of that click on the first video as a portal to a whole world I didn’t know existed but is now my forever home. At 50+ years old, from an outside perspective it makes no logical sense that I would suddenly feel the way I do about a “boy band” but I love these 7 men with my whole heart. They inspire me and comfort me in a way that nobody else has in a very, very long time. Some of their songs make me feel like I’m being tucked under a warm blanket by someone who loves me. (#MagicShop) I’ve seen countless artists who say they love their fans but I have never seen artists express it with such obvious sincerity as BTS. It’s not a fickle or transactional kind of love, either from them to ARMY or from ARMY to BTS. A couple of the guys have expressed worry that we might forget about them during their enlistment period, probably because they’ve seen that play out over and over with other idol groups. It makes me so sad that they worried about that for even a millisecond because there is zero chance that ARMY will leave them. Not ever.
Being a fan of BTS means loving their music and performance. Being ARMY is about connection, both with them and with other ARMY. It means feeling genuine affection for each of the members as humans separate from the fact that they’re in a band we love. It’s also about allowing oneself to feel the love they have for us. That love is real and it’s transformative. Google “BTS saved my life” and read some stories. So, so many of us feel that way. I have never felt anything close to that for any artist I’ve simply been a fan of. As far as the connection to other ARMY goes, I liken it to how it feels to be a queer person in a straight space and finding another queer person. There is an automatic thread of connection even if you have nothing else in common and aren’t likely to ever see each other again. They’re just “my people”. Note: I grew up in a time when being gay had much more of a stigma and we really had no rights. It was also long before the digital age which has made it *infinitely* easier to find each other. Younger people may not feel this same kind of queer connection but the ARMY connection seems to be very real for all ages.
You’ll have a much better understanding if you watch Taylor Mari’s “guide to the Bangtan 7”. (Please, PLEASE watch & react to it!) I’ve been a part of fandoms before, but I’ve never seen one like ARMY and I really love that so many people feel so connected, and it’s really no wonder the guys are so appreciative of you all! Honestly I feel silly for tearing up all the time watching their videos, but truly it’s just so heartwarming to see all this love, and it’s so refreshing too. Their music is more comforting than I could have imagined, and to be honest even though I hadn’t really checked them out prior to their military service, part of me was sad for you guys when I saw it trending and saw everyone talking about how much you all would miss them. But now that I’ve been listening to them and learning so much, I feel like I understand even more now, and I’m so happy that you all haven’t left their side!

You only have to read our Jin's Weverse Interview from yesterday to see how much BTS value Army.... All 7 continuously show us how much they care about us - I say all the time how I will be forever grateful to the OG KArmy for sticking by our 7 from inception and making sure they knew how we meant what we said - that we would walk with them forever.... Yoongi (Suga) said on his show that BTS and Army are no longer artists and fanbase... we are partners now... Army write songs for BTS every year around Festa... check out Love Letters by Nia and see JK/RM and Jimin react to it on their lives.... 💜

You should watch the video from xCeleste (Rosan) about Army (This is Army)... we're not a bad bunch when you look at us 💜 Closer then This is Jimin's goodbye for a while song to Army before enlistment.... They spend a lot of time doing lives every week just to catch up with Army... now that they're gone, they made sure to leave so much content for us to keep us from missing them too much. You are correct in what you say , that you haven't seen another group share such a close relationship with their fanbase....
They have built a group of very passionate fans, who REALLY know each of them, not only their songs but each personality, their dreams and fears. they inspire each of us every day to be better people. We´re the BEST fandom EVER! (Sorry for my english) Greetings from Brazil!

I appreciate everything you said, but also, lol, in terms of fans being patient and waiting for BTS to come back: they haven’t given us a break! We haven’t had a group song in a while, but for those of us who love each one of them, they’ve taken turns constantly giving us something new.
One of the things about BTS is that they don’t take anything for granted and they will plan so far ahead. I think most fans would’ve waited even if they hadn’t prepared everything they did ahead of their enlistments (they gave so so much more than the fandom expected) but I think it shows how much they care about the fanbase right back and how much they thought of us during this time

I love your videos/reactions and I'm happy you found these wonderful 7. I would recommend watching "This is BTS ARMY" by Xcelest to find out about the Fandom. It's a little old but really provides the best guide. Then the Bangtan 7, Taylor's guide is really the best on the individual members. Would love to your reaction to both. BTW, I love how you were saying who you thought they'd be good on colabs with. I checked out a few folks you mentioned in your early reactions and really liked a couple of songs from them.
Yay!! Yeah, I love it when artists I love work with each other! BTS just has endless potential and I hope to see them explore all kinds of music! I’m def gonna check those videos out for sure, I’m really enjoying everything I’m learning so far!

Army is an amazing force and community. It's not homogenous though and you will find some people who are immature, demanding, and/or unkind. Overall though most people really want to emulate BTS ' values of kindness and loving good music.
