Thank you much for this video! I'm in coastal North Carolina, never been to a retreat, no shops or groups here. I absolutely adore you!
Holy cow...you guys have cheap retreats in the UK! In Minnesota (USA) our weekend retreats in Minneapolis run $700-$1000 (plus whatever travel costs you need to get there), which is why I never get to go. At least I can live vicariously through floss tubers like yourself! :)
Fab video Cherise! Love Mike's guide for husband's at the end too :) really great info for anyone wanting to know more about retreats x
Great video. My first retreat was stitch-con. The largest one in the USA I was a last minutes fill in from the wait list. It was daunting walking into a room of 360 something people, then there was not enough seating for the 400 people that paid to be there. Turned out to be 371; they set out extra tables and we all got a seat after the welcome speeches. My brothers daughter lives in London zone two she is a Math teacher. I will be visiting her next summer hope to make a retreat. Chat soon
What a brilliant video Cherise! Wish I’d had this guide as a retreat virgin myself, but it’s going to help and advise a lot of apprehensive people who will be attending their first retreat. It’s spot on! Thank you for making and sharing (with the help of your lovely hubs Mike) 👌😁 xx
Wow Cherise, I wish you could make video guides for all of life’s stressful situations! Honestly though, it’s so nice to actually see examples of how things look and what to bring etc. I only wish I was a better stitcher so I could meet you at one of the retreats! :)
Thanks. You don't need to be a good stitcher to attend. People who go have been stitching from a few months to many many years. You should just put your name down and go! :)
Denkai It’s the stupid eyes that let me down, along with my inability to do anything well. 😅 I find that diamond painting is much easier for me but I don’t think there’s been any retreats here yet. I once saw a video of someone who brought one to a stitching retreat but I don’t want to be the only one there who can’t sew! 😂
I realise this is an old video, but I'm thinking about my first retreat next year so this is very helpful
Loved this. It was a great idea for a video.
Brilliant video… thanks a lot for all the tips… I’m going for my first retreat in March 2022… a bit nervous but I really want to go 😉🙃😁😘
Not a newbie to retreats but love this video. Including the one for partners!
Love the time stamps! Very enjoyable!!
Glad you like it!
Loved this ! I'm a bit of a newbie with stitching but loving it ! Would def consider doing one of these, I can imagine how scary walking in is tho if you haven't done before 😊
Thanks for the great video. I want to go to a retreat with Natalie!
Thanks a lot Cherise, great video!! Great husband tips at the end :) ps. When is the next Mirabilia retreat in 2020? I am not really on Facebook :( And are there more international retreaters? I am from the Netherlands, but it is only a short flight ....
😂 😂 Thanks for such great tips
Mike = legend
Lol cheers, but my job is easy, Cherise put all the time in getting the content! I have to say also that the pink dinosaur costume was awesome! :)
Haha that took a lot of thought and time blowing myself up lol. May the pink dinosaur live on
@@stitchingwiththekidsaround9186 we love the pink dinosaur x
The dinosaur is defiantly coming back out at some point liz
Sorry Cherise great video , but Mike stole the show . He did make me giggle. 😂
Thanks 🙂
Thank you! I love this video, very informative ❤ Do you have any tips for people without facebook? I mean, except making an account 😅
Hi! It's tricky because most groups are on facebook. Some do post on their websites - the Mirabilia retreat, for example, was on www.designerandneedleworkshowsandretreats.com/sept-2019-retreat-booking
