  • I'm on a journey to learn how to light studio style portraits. This shoot was all about using the GODOX AD 200 Pro with some movie lights to get a nice portrait of my friend eating cake.

    ABOUT THIS VIDEO:
In this video, I have my friend Myles meeting me at the studio so I can practice shooting some studio style photo portraits. I have often been asking myself, how do professional photographers light their portrait shoots?, and this session was an attempt to learn more.
I was using the GODOX AD 200 Pro photo strobe along with a few movie lights. I had a backdrop set up, along with 2 Kino Flo lights, and two LiteMat LED lights. All the photos were taken on the Canon EOS R6 and finished using Adobe Photoshop. The behind the scenes footage was shoot on the GoPro Hero 9 in 5k.

Your simple drawing was key to your video. I knew professional studios were complex. Your knowledge made the end result great. Thank you 🙏
