I don’t understand how a criminal case can be given the option to be a civic one. SA, drugging people and minors involved…A crime is a crime. This makes no sense. And keeping their identities hidden doesn’t help the possibility of repeated offenses.

I'm guessing cuz a lot of the victims haven't gone to police.
The prosecuting officers can pick this case up and make it a criminal one even if the victims don't want to go through that. If there is enough evidence they will pick up the case and make it criminal
A civil case is way more likely a victory than a criminal case. That is why when a criminal case is lost, a civil case is immediately filed.
Perez, they are not gonna go to the police because chances are they are only suing for a quick $$$$ grab. IF they are so traumatized, why wouldn’t they go all the way to court to seek justice and se their ALLEGED abusers behind bars? Nah..many of these claims are nothing but quick money grabs and that attorney knows this.
I don't understand why the victims would settle. It seems to me they would want these people publicly named so others would not be victimized in the future. Once the criminal case went was done then they can sue. I would want to know who the perpetrators were so I could make damn sure I never supported them again.
Sometimes as a victim it’s very difficult to go through the trauma again. If I was a victim I would settle out of court.

Settlement means a guaranteed pay off. Not doing so goes to trial and you now have the burden of proof to prove without a doubt the person is guilty of what you claim they did to you. It doesn’t work well most of the time.

People think victims are just moneygrabbers if they settle out of court, but it really is in the best interests of both parties. It's extremely traumatic to have to testify sexual offence cases. They say its like being raped all over again. Very distressing. And how convenient is it that the celebrities wont be named in public! I bet they pay a LOT for that.

@@NUCKLEHEADBRAND2011But they are entitled to sue nonetheless. Many of these victims would I think suffer such psychological damage that they would find it very difficult to work again. The level of abuse and ongoing threats alleged are quite severe.
But you're right, they are a lot "luckier" to be using celebrities than the average psycho criminal who does this sort of thing to people.
But people do seem to hold those who testify in a higher light than those who settle out of court. When really, it's extremely traumatizing to testify in cases like this. I say good luck to them if they can manage to settle out of court without having to testify and relive the entire experience all over again in vivid detail.

The victims deserve a lot of compensation because they have to spend thousands of dollars to heal from these traumas. The money is insignificant compared to the mental, emotional and physically health that is lost. Not to mention the time you lose and will never get back to heal yourself. The amount should be in the millions for these victims.

Same as with Epstein. I am afraid that the rapper will have the same fate as Ebstein. 2. These evil this continue maybe somewhere else. Unfortunatelly evil never finishes. So doesn't Good !
