Sepsis is the worst thing you can go through. The pain is severe, fevers, dizziness, you're never hungry, never thirsty, and your weight falls very fast because your body is using alot of calories to try and fight this bacteria. I fell into a coma back in 2013 due to septic shock from a botched medical procedure. They put me on a ventilator, I was having seizures several times a day, and they didn't expect me to get out of it without severe brain damage. When I came out of it and the infection was gone, I looked like something out of a horror movie. Pale as my sheets, hair falling out, skin and bones. The worst part was, I had to regain motor functions, I had to learn to speak, and I've recovered beautifully, but my speech is still off. I stutter now, and I have a lisp. My coordination isn't very good, I'll never be able to drive. My hands, arms, and legs go numb and just go limp out of nowhere and often times I'll fall, or I'll drop things I'm holding. It's possible to manage, nobody let's you carry the drinks anymore though haha. Sepsis is very serious, and it kills and permanently damages alot of surviving victims. Please take caution, and if you ever feel like something is wrong after a gash, or a surgery, PLEASE CONTACT MEDICAL ATTENTION. Don't let it go like I did. My life is not the same, I'd hate to find anyone else in my position or worse. Just a word of warning from a friendly internet stranger. I wish you all the best! 🖤

The geologist lick rocks to identification, if this taste salty or bitter it can mean what kind of rock it's, but its dangerous so it's like a resource that you use just in case you have certain idea of what rock is (that it's not dangerous to lick) just to confirm or that you don't have other tools to make you analysis, so you lick it. Didn't know why she didn't like me but my dad put himself between us as it was charging and ended up having to whip it with the first thing in his reach which was a hose. Broke my heart but it was me or the cow. The cow was fine and left me alone after that. Was scared of them for so long.

His hand swollen up, he lost his movement in his thumb and the sepsis started to travel up his arm. He was in hospital for a week fighting this. Now recovered his hand I still weak and unlikely to ever be the same. People do underestimate the tiny things and even make fun. You just never know what is around the corner.
You could argue that it's important to let your body deal with infections in order to strengthen your immunity but in the case of Sepsis, it's better to be safe than sorry
I've left cuts on their own, I barely sleep because I prefer to spend my time actually doing something and I don't exactly eat the most healthy things, I'll give it like another two decades before I kick the bucket

One of my mom’s friends is currently going through the exact same thing as the guy in the last story. She’s in the hospital recovering from a staph infection that developed after she cut her finger. I also had a close call a few years ago when I got severe sepsis due to a stone blocking my common bile duct. I just thought I had the flu right up until I was in the ER with my BP dropping.

Blood clots should be on this list. A DVT blood clot starts out with a pain in the leg (mine was in my calf) the pain feels much like a pulled muscle, but it lasted for days and I couldn’t walk. I finally decided to go to the doctor and I found out that I have a blood clot in my leg. It’s a good thing that I went in because clots can break off and go up to your lungs or heart and cause cardiac arrest. My blood clot was caused by estrogen in birth control pills.

Pretty much the same thing happened to me. Except I never got the serve leg pain or swelling, only what felt like a small muscle pull at the top of my calf. Had that for maybe a week, then I stated feeling like my heart my racing when I climbed stairs. I eventually passed out. It was discovered that I had a DVT in my right leg and bilateral pulmonary embolisms (blood clots in both my lungs). Due to birth control. Doctors really need to tell women what to look out for. Not everyone has an issue, but it can kill those of us that do.
My husband lost his leg to this. Thankfully the clot went downwards with the bloodstream rather than up to the lungs, heart or brain, but he still has to live the rest of his life with one leg (and one prosthetic one of course, thankfully :))

When I was around eight, I found an insect on the outside of a glass door in our house. It was the middle of winter and freezing outside, so I promptly picked it up and took it inside. Blood clots should be on this list. A DVT blood clot starts out with a pain in the leg (mine was in my calf) the pain feels much like a pulled muscle, but it lasted for days and I couldn’t walk. I finally decided to go to the doctor and I found out that I have a blood clot in my leg. It’s a good thing that I went in because clots can break off and go up to your lungs or heart and cause cardiac arrest. My blood clot was caused by estrogen in birth control pills.
True! My dad had 2 blood clots in his brain which escalated to the veins bursting in his brain. (It has a proper name but I can't remember 😅)

Pretty much the same thing happened to me. Except I never got the serve leg pain or swelling, only what felt like a small muscle pull at the top of my calf. Had that for maybe a week, then I stated feeling like my heart my racing when I climbed stairs. I eventually passed out. It was discovered that I had a DVT in my right leg and bilateral pulmonary embolisms (blood clots in both my lungs). Due to birth control. Doctors really need to tell women what to look out for. Not everyone has an issue, but it can kill those of us that do.
My husband lost his leg to this. Thankfully the clot went downwards with the bloodstream rather than up to the lungs, heart or brain, but he still has to live the rest of his life with one leg (and one prosthetic one of course, thankfully :))

Living in south Alabama I’ve been around cows my whole life. And I can say that I know of several people who’ve been injured by them. I myself have been charged several times but never injured. When they get mad or scared they get very aggressive.

When I was around eight, I found an insect on the outside of a glass door in our house. It was the middle of winter and freezing outside, so I promptly picked it up and took it inside. My mother looked up the insect, trying to figure out what to feed it, and it turned out to be an assassin bug. We were kind of freaked out, but kept it as a pet anyway, lol
It was a pretty neat pet. Would climb onto the backs of earthworms, insert its proboscis into them, and suck their insides out.
