The SCOTUS needs to grow a pair and rule. A right stalled is a right denied.
They have not yet been granted certiorari. They don't "rule" on a case they haven't yet heard.
If they grant certiorari in these cases, the argument will not be heard until (at least) October and will not be ruled on until late June, 2025.
@@garyK.45ACP They had a major case that they heard but instead of ruling on it they allowed it to go all the back to a district court and start over.
@@TheHarleywolf That's how it works when the lower court got it VERY wrong and the evidence was purposely excluded. Without that evidence being included at the trial court, it can't be introduced at the SCOTUS. It's just how the judicial system works.

I’m hoping that with the Bumpstock case… they go far enough and say the NFA is unconstitutional and no firearms can be banned… that would explain pushing these cases off.
I would be shocked if anything comes from the SCOTUS on this issue until after the Nov. 5 election. And that maybe a good thing.

It’s amazing how i have traveled to Texas, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, all states close to California and their sporting goods stores are so awesome. They have boxes of bullets in the isles standard magazines all available without asking permission to buy. So we here in California don’t have the same basic right as the rest of America. California is not part of the United States if you think about it. We don’t have basic rights like the rest of the country. Sad

Mag capacity bans that vary from State to State are unconstitutional. One Nation not 50. In one State you can purchase Factory Pistol with Factory Mag of 15 or 17 capacity but in another State the law was written only 7 rounds in a ten round magazine. Though (New york) now allows ten rounds ; the law is written as 7. Just Ludicrous. Online will not ship 10 Round mag to NY due to original law. 7 rounds. People just use more 10 round mags and get better at changing out mags. So what are we accomplishing?

"No news" really isn't bad news in this case. Bruen went to conference at least 4 times before it was finally taken up by SCOTUS, so this isn't that unusual.

There is a possibility that they could be GVR'd under one of the other 2A cases currently waiting for rulings. Not likely, but possible.
In any case, if granted certiorari this month, (doesn't matter when this month) they will not be heard until the fall session and the ruling won't come until June, 2025.
They did a GVR on the California magazine ban case. The Supreme Court I am sure knows how anti-2A the 9th Circus is yet they did that instead of a summary reversal. So Benitez again found the ban to not be Constitutional, the 9th again found it to be Constitutional ignoring both the 2A AND the Bruen decision.
They should know now if they didn't then that they need to start doing summary reversals.
The 9th is playing delay games hoping for a change in the Supreme Court.
@@Anon54387 Yes, I know all that. That will not be a reason to NOT GVR another case. I am not saying it will happen, but sometimes when they hold cases, it is because then plan to issue a ruling soon and GVR some of the cases.

Cases in which SCOTUS eventually grants certiorari historically go through multiple conferences. But, of course, you knew this already because you base your conclusions on a dispassionate analysis of the data like a rational human being, riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight?

While I Would love to have this taken up, we've seen the courts just continue to ignore it, with no consequences.
The day SCOTUS takes one of these cases, is the day they put a stake in the ground and says the Constitution actually matters. Until then, INFRINGEMENT is the law of this land.

The delay of the Maryland case was a good idea, I think. They just want to know what the lower courts will say. Better to do it this way so the supreme courts can rebuke the lower courts more accurately.
