When I was a kid I used to read folk tales from all over the world, sometimes wholesome sometimes terrifying,I learnt about life and diferent cultures that way. What we see in the dark, in the unknown is so important.
Absolutely inspired as always. I love writing with your video int he background since they always have incredible visuals and atmosphere. I share them as often as I can with other film fans.
another absolutely beautiful video matea!!!! to be able to capture both the creeping loneliness as well as the blooming hysteria of these scenes so well together with the song you chose *chefs kiss* very unhinged, extremely sublime, most haunting. I love it as always
Amazing edit as usual!!! It’s always cool to see how you also use bits from older/lesser known movies like der dybuk or viy, and as usual so many other movies to be added to my watchlist : D
Very hard to keep this comment from becoming an essay because this is just so good! (First of all: WHAT a song choice!) You have such a great eye for imagery and parallels so, even using very different films, it still feels cohesive and intentional. It's made me look at these films in a new way - it would have been so easy to only include films like The Witch or The Wicker Man which have the classic "look" of folk horror, but Candyman and Pet Sematary in particular were absolutely inspired choices. ❤
@legallybrunette1997 I am polish and I love this movie! sadly the director is no longer with us, but it's really cool to see that someone who's not from Poland appreciate it
