I remember really enjoying Dragon Age Origins, but starting with Dragon Age 2 and every game after has just felt like it was so different from the original game that I enjoyed. There are plenty of factors that attributed to it, but I think it was mostly just the tone seeming more comic-book-ish. Honestly I think it was the character Varic (did I get that right? The crossbow wielding dwarf rogue?) that rubbed me the wrong way the most. I just never cared for his personality, character arc, or what he brought to the story overall - but ever since the second game they just keep bringing him back over and over again. I hadn’t been paying any attention to this game or its development, but when I first saw the trailer a few months ago I was mildly interested until I saw he was still around. I immediately rolled my eyes and moved on. Anyway, figured I’d check this review to see how the overall game looked, but I think I’ve seen enough to say it’s not for me.
Mortismal showed how utter trash he is with his Clownfield review. it shouldn't be allowed to talk so much garbage during a review like he did. And half of it was outright lying.
I'm glad you enjoyed the game, but honestly I'm still not sold on it, there's just so little I've seen that look appealing to me, and the complete lack of acknowledgement of earlier choices _really_ sours me on the entire game when Bioware still insist on bringing back fan-favorites like Morrigan and Varric.
It's so mind boggling to see that most of the people who are whinning and hating are the people who don't have the game. And they are angry on the reviewers who liked the game. Why do they want that game to fail so badly? Seriously, what is wrong with the people. I mean if these people have played the game and don't like it, I will understand. But cursing and crying without trying is straight up baffling to me. And the logic they give well Ralph from Skill up and Matty said the game was trash. So? Does the opinion of these two gentlemen somehow override the opinion and likes of all other? Skill Up is one of my most favourite reviewer may be my most favourite. Even then, there are 3 games which he raved about, I ended up not liking. But I didn't call him sell out or anyother thing because I understand everyone has different likes and dislikes. Grow up.
It's a solid 7.5/8 playing on game fly but may get it if it hits a sale, as a game, I think it's better than 2 and has a better overall story than inquisition
Dragon Age never appealed to me. I tried them each and they all had boring combat. This looks way more interesting and colorful. Especially for me since I don't like Gray&Brown Western aesthetics. This looks like it was trying to attract new players. Definitely gonna try this out.
I completely agree. I feel for those who wanted something akin to what was but this seems geared towards new players. I’m one of those players. Looks fun to me.
Played the first dragon age way back and dabbled in inquisition multiple times. Im totally fine with this going into a new direction and im really vibing with the artstyle and overall more light tone. It reminds me of Bioware games of the past even though i know that is not the same company anymore. Objectively this looks like a well made game in a sound technical state that looks like a lot of fun. Looking forward to checking it out and since im on steam (native! hurray) i can always refund if its not my cup of tea.
Dragon Age is one of the most overrated western RPG series (Mass Effect too). Unbelievable boring and shitty gameplay which outdated even on release. Can't find anything really great in them, unfortunately.
Haven't been let down by this channel so far, got so many amazing recommendations. Seeing as I want to go in as blind as possible, only watched some of it + the conclusion. I get the feeling I'll have a good time with this one. Only time will tell. Thanks for the review!
8:33 the transition here from Cutscene to Combat gameplay - with a very slow fade to black into characters drawing their weapons again lol - is so dated and jarring - feels so off!
@@TheActionHank it's just very fake and disjointed. A lot of games like FF16, FF7 and GoW have had seamless transition from Cutscene to Gameplay for years now.
Thanks, NP. I feel bad for you that you have to put up with accusations of being shills or whatever for daring to enjoy a game and admit it publicly, knowing that it is the current target of the anti-'woke' mob's ire and rage.
Game really is woke. Game director is literally a trans non binary 💀 . characters in game also speak about their non binary identity randomly instead of focusing on story 💀.
From everything I've seen only the gameplay has looked somewhat nice. The characters are unappealing (a sentiment shared by a lot of people, not just me) and the story premise seems boring compared to the initial promise of Solas, the Dread Wolf, preparing a calamity to return his people, forcing the core cast to go into a dangerous and highly political country filled with scheming and backstabbing. The dialogue is pretty low quality from the press material too, so I can't imagine the core game being much better as usually the quality of writing is pretty much constant throughout like 99% of all games. But who knows, maybe the game is actually good. I'll have to wait for some let's plays and walkthroughs to be uploaded. Def not risking 70 euro buying anything blindly, especially such a controversially talked about game.
With all the critiques out there, I feel like this game is objectively around an 8. But what's strange to me is how the reviews are all over. I know we should take user reviews with a grain of salt, but games like Astro Bot, Black Myth: Wukong, Metaphor: ReFantazio and FFVII: Rebirth all have user reviews largely in line with critics (obviously not in every single case). So I have to wonder what the divide is here? Is it a fan base desperately hoping it to be something it's not? Or are there really flaws people don't want to see, or can't see? is it the other way around?
The reviews are all over, and will get worse in their division, because the game has been selected by social media for participation in the Culture War. There is a vocal faction online that want to restore ManPower to the arts and reclaim them from the DEI of women and minorities. With regard to that, I will add this. There are unquestionably antagonistic things that have been done to many classic franchises over the past decade to drum up this rage. But targeting a Bioware game, which is something that would be built on progressive foundation from the ground up, makes this people look like hypocrites and reduces overall sympathy / empathy toward them from someone who tries to stay outside the fray and be a more neutral observer.
What did you think about how bad the side quests are? Too combat focused and not as many BioWare choices as past games. We'll ignore the cringey dialogue, and just focus on how much is missing from this game.
The truth is its a good game but if you want DAO2, it is a bad game. Some people still havent accepted that DAO2 will never exist and hate this game for not being it. Plus all the political nonsense
Dragon Age Origins didn't age poorly. I restarted it a few days ago and it looks pretty good and the gameplay and storytelling is as magnificent and fun as ever. For a game that is 15 years old it looks amazing. I can run it at 2k and 120 fps. You just need some bugfix mods, maybe a hair mod and the memory leak edit and you are in for an amazing story. Also the companion banter is so great. I ll wait till this is on sale and I really dislike how EA didnt hand review codes to slightly critical reviewers. fextralifes video on that and the gaming industry was very interesting.
No they are just saying the game isn't perfect... And the criticisms are as fallows: the combat can get repetitive at time, the story suffers from some pacing issues, the graphics are a complete personal preference, the music is mid, and a lot of the side stuff is very up beat. All of the "criticisms" are mostly personal preference or minor issues. Even skill up and Mr. Matty plays (the only negative reviews) boil down to what I mentioned.
@@beaucole446 "Even skill up and Mr. Matty plays (the only negative reviews) boil down to what I mentioned." No, they really don't. If they did, I doubt both reviewers (and all the ones that we're seeing more of as the days go by) would have called the game a massive disappointment.
@@SlayerSeraph this is linear though so i don't think it will be 100+ 80 would be fair. reviewers also have to take notes and stuff that slows them down. Don't forget that bioware themselves said that it's between 40-100.
You can have a negative first impression of a game based on footage and not playing the game. People are allowed to not like something without playing it, it's just that their distaste for it won't be super detailed.
3 channels with over 100k subs (and more on X) have been denied review codes because they gave a negative or even cautious impression about the game after attending a play through event by EA. Meaning EA is using these events to screen who will likely to give their games a positive reviews to give early access code to in order to guarantee positive first wave reviews. This is not only far from transparency but down right unethical and manipulative. No one should be supporting this behavior.
That’s true. I think you can tell a game is bad from trailers. However. I think this is a comment directed towards those who tend to not think for themselves and just say things they heard or read without thinking “what is my opinion” it happens and maybe we need to get better at generalizing? I dunno. Games are fun. - Azario
We'll see how it goes, I suspect a mostly negative reception. What I am not liking, is that people cannot disagree amicably if they disagree on a game. It's either you are a shill or you are a hater. That's not good. No nuance just tribalism.
Yes. This is the thing that I've noticed that irks me. Someone can't just say something like "It's a pass for me.". It's "Sellout.", "Reeetard!", "Should just play X game instead.", "Why would you play that?", etc. Which I've personally come to view as "I'm a troll who has no intention of playing this or anything else. My hobby is being a jerk." I feel genuinely bad when somone realizes, for ANY reason, that the latest in a franchise they've previously enjoyed is not for them. I'm not the greatest at real-time combat. I have disabilities. Hopefully the story mode works for me--sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. If I've tried a game and it doesn't work for me, and a context comes up where my experience might help someone, I'll shaare it. But I never label my personal limits as a knock on the game itself. Outside of pointing out if it lacked a form of accessibility that could have changed things. (Ah, Death's Door, my heart still breaks that your keys weren't customixable, s an example.) When it's something that is subjective, I would never dream of presuming others do or have to share my taste. I've loved every DA game, but I adore the more cutesy artstyle. Not because I would have ever consciously requested it for DA, but because since it's here I might as well enjoy it, y'know? I try to remind myself that a big part in all of this is that we're on the internet and none of us are having these chats over lunch or a coffee break with a friend, face to face. It can be easy to be way more extreme and bombastic than we'd be with an actual person in the real world.
@@KatallinaVT Absolutely, granted this is just about games but it generalizes everywhere. I get it that for some specific issues, one can take such stances, but many topics are trolling or I don't know what to call it. The thing is to try to get people to feel bad or strange for liking something they do not. It's very toxic.
Okay, from what I've heard & seen, this game isn't devoid of effort, just not worth the wait. Given Bioware's previous pedigree from 15 years ago, it looks like they just "settle" rather than aim to be the best now. And that's not should be getting anymore given their track record this decade. But to eat your own people.
I feel like I may have aged out of Dragon Age in its absence, because this just looks really generic. The characters and dialogue seems a bit cliche and cringe like something we've seen a million times already. It's giving lowest common denominator high fantasy tropes. Definitely no BG3 in the writing department.
My heart was already stolen by Morrigan(and Cassandra lol). IDK how I feel about these new companions, so far they don't look all that interesting to me. It feels like they're all quirky variations of Dorian from inquisition.
If I ever become rich, I'll bribe David Gaider to quit whatever he's doing and just write more lore/stories for her. If that doesn't work, just put bunch of college English majors in a room until they create satisfying fan fiction.
While I loved the first Dragon Age, didn't care much for the second and thought the last one was just ok, i will be going Dutch with my brother who still seems pretty excited about this. This looks ok. Especially at half price. We even have different days off so I will give it a go then. Not expecting much. Haven't really kept up with it's development like he has.
Inquisition can be summarized as McDonals fast food. Its what people call slop, in every sense of the word. That doesn't mean you can't like it or have tons of fun. But its a far cry of what actual quality is. I played tons of Inquisition, because of how braindead it is. Open game, deactivate brain and just consume. Its like those braindead trash isekais. Same feeling, same "quality"
Iv been seeing some of the dialouge and boy is it ruff. It doesn't come off as a dragon age game. It also seems like you cant make anyone leave your team by your choices which is werid as previous games had this. Kind of dulls things.
I really liked the previous Dragon Age games, but they ruined the aesthetic of the series. This looks like WoW meets Harry Potter. Going to pass on this.
It's a solid 7.5/8 playing on game fly but may get it if it hits a sale, as a game, I think it's better than 2 and has a better overall story than inquisition
Very respectable review. I think people are kinda losing perspective a bit - reviews are subjective opinions. Am happy some people are genuinely enjoying the game and scoring it highly. I suppose there is a conversation around WHY people are giving it mega high scores. Still all v subjective!
I understand the idea of putting political shit in your games, and im an ally, personally. But this is way too fucking much. Add a nonbinary character, add pansexuals - i dont care, but why the HELL is there large sections of the game based around this concept? This isnt why people play dragon age. There was political messages in DA:O about racism but it wasnt shoved down your throat like this. The actual gameplay looks good but i honestly hope this game flops, im so sick of games putting so much focus on modern woke shit and not just telling compelling stories.
I've already preordered, Bioware has earned enough of my trust and I think I'll still have fun with this game. But the writing does look pretty terrible from what I've seen in pre/reviews; it gives off major Disney vibes when DAO had friggin' darkspawn brood mothers. The combat, build, and gear system do look like fun though. And yeah it's a cardinal sin to not honor previous playthroughs and established characters from a beloved series that fans have been waiting 10 years to see. That is objectively a huge misstep that shows they have fallen out of touch with why their fans love the series. I hear you have all of like 4 convos with Solas. In a game that was initially named after him. wut Also idk what you're talking about with the graphics, DAI still looks amazing. If they had literally copied that style exactly, nobody would be saying anything. But you can't honestly tell me you like the Dreamworks Qunari we've got over the ones in DAI lol. Varric and Harding look good but everyone else looks like they've been put through an instagram filter with high bloom Every game has its problems but this one seems to have A LOT
Almost every review I've seen of this game has been positive. It's only Skill Up and MrMatty that have been negative so far from the about 8 reviews I've watched of this game
(before I watch it) I am excited to play it, really like the decision to move away from the Inquisition open world. I hope the story is as intriguing as the other games. Reading comments for this game makes me despise gamers more though, so much transphobia and hate for a game they haven't played but want it to fail, riddiculous
@@squarestar326 Damn, where did my answer go? 💩Tube at its finest! Lets try that again.... Rumours have it, they are using the Nvidia T239 Processor. Which is roughly the power of an RTX 2050. This GPU can render DeathStranding/Cyberpunk/Control in medium settings at 1080p 30FPS DLSS activated. Which should lead to more performance than a PS4. But the Switch 2 is limited to what? 20 Watt power consumption because Battery? So i guess PS4 is the bare minimum performance the Switch 2 can deliver. As another Handheld console, its of course not designed for 60FPS. And modern games need to be scaled down again, same spiel as the Switch 1. It boils down to games just looking better in the future. /cheers

I have had very little interest in this which is something I would never believe I would say 15 years ago after playing DA Origins 6 times and reading the novels. I want to believe this is good but I’ve been so disappointed by BioWare in the last decade that it feels like giving a chance to someone that has cheated on you several times already. I want this to be good so bad and yet I can’t believe it. It could get only 10/10s and I probably wouldn’t believe it still 😢
Whats there to believe? You can mute the video and just look at the video footage, tells you everything you need to know. The characters alone are such a massive FY. You know exactly what these developers are.

That lecture part about doing push ups over mis pronouning someone, which most people don't actually do that stuff, and then give a lecture about why apologizing is wrong cuz it's seeking approval and making it about theirselves. This entire trans push is not about trans representation. It's to use a group of people that is growing, because of pop culture, trans people, the heavy fisted way of pushing this on our society all at once is to create division. These suckers ended with the release of Dragon Nonsense 2. "If you press a button, something awesome has to happen". Biggest red flag i have ever seen in my life.
I really enjoy the reviews on this channel and have seen plenty of videos going over new RPG's that i felt were very authentic and trustworthy. I hope this game is actually as good as u say and that the consensus when its all over isn't the opposite. Would hate to lose trust in this channel over a game that most fans seem to be really negative on but journalists are seemingly universally praising. It's always wierd when instances like this happen in the gaming world.
@AgentLemmon other reviwers whose opinion i respect also i mean. Some of them complained they didnt get a review code also but since the game came out they dropped their reviews. They all seem to agree that the game isnt all that great but idk.
Yourself, and your own eyes. What are you looking for in a game? Does the faster combat draw you in or piss you off? Is the art style a welcome change, neutral, or an eye sore. Have any of the companions made you curious? Are you eager to try the CC and make a character? Do you like the way the mission structure or puzzles work for this? There's tons of useful out there if you're willing to watch different videos and narrow down your own tastes. Or you could just wait a while and get it on a big juicy sale, ideally on Steam so you get to try for two hours.
Why is anyone surprised in any way? Dragon Age only has a single fantastic game and a pair of mediocre sequels. Why would you ever expect that they could run it back when everyone who made Origins great are long gone?
Apperantly im in the minority but i really like the artstyle and "pixaresque" look. The overall lighter and humerous tone is also something i can vibe with. Since im not a hardcore fan (even though i have to acknowledge how good DA:O was) im just looking forward towards a fun story with fun combat and bioware style interactions with characters. It seems to be in a good technical state and deliver just that. Ill definitely check it out. Thanks for the review. The comment sections surrounding the reviews are a warzone though. Thats a real bummer tbh. Nowadays it seems like hating on games is just as fun for some people than actually forming own opinions and enjoying the vast amount of choice we have. There is so much out there and it gets even more every single week. Everyone will find something to enjoy! Game on!
@KatallinaVT in preparation I watched broomsticks introduction into the different classes and I have to admit they all look like tons of fun. Oh boy, i'm sure this comment section will be 100% civilized and definitely not riddled with internet culture warriors complaining about "focking pronouns".
What you say. Though as a german, having seen the german pronouns (well, the neutral ones), are actually feeling off. For example we have the german word for politician= Politiker. This becomes Politikere which would maybe be something like Politicany or Politicianey. This Idiot -> Dieser Idiot becomes Diesey Idiote which would maybe be That Idiotey or whatever (Sorry, no professor of any language xD). Neutral pronouns in english (They/Them) just feel more natural to me then their german counterparts. But afaik they keep it limited to certain characters which is totally fine for me.

Yeah it's insane to me how this game is being rated this highly while other genuinly good games with quality behind the most important parts like writing, voice acting, story, gameplay, music and cutscenes aren't getting proper acknowledgement. This is a 6-7 game tops, you can see it in the quality of the aforementioned categories when looking at the current gameplay and cutscenes out right now.
To be honest, Dragon Age: The Veilguard looks like a 0 out of 10 for me, precisely because it doesn’t cater to me-a player who endlessly replayed Origins and 2. I just don’t know how you can change the tone and style of the game, even the actual genre, by shifting to a God of War-style combat system rather than an overhead tactical one, removing party member control, making past game decisions irrelevant, and many other things. It may well be an 8.5 as a random action RPG, but it’s not an 8.5 as a Dragon Age entry. This might as well be a different franchise. They did what FF16 did, in my opinion-it’s no different. As a trans person, I’m also really tired of the constant box-checking, performative virtue signaling, and how sanitized everything feels. It's disrespectful to fans and is not inclusive, especially when it's even obvious to me how exclusive it is in various places.
@@paulodelima5705 FFXV wasn't a good game either. I wish people would stop pointing to other bad entries in a franchise to justify newer bad entries. Without the nostalgia of FF7 Remake, the FF franchise hasn't done anything notable, culturally relevant, or innovative since FF12. I would strongly argue that the core FF fanbase has moved on to Xenoblade Chronicles and Atlus games, because among actual JRPG fans, series like these are the real cream of the crop from the last 10 years-not Final Fantasy.
Based on several youtubers (Kala Elizabeth, Ghil Dirthalen, Mortismal, Dantics) and now Noisy Pixel, the most consistent positive aspect of this game is the story is good. So i think its good enough for me, since i play video game mostly for the story.... 😋
13:58 that's probably because they never bothered to make a PS5 Patch or Remaster Update for Inquisition - something that turned me from playing the old game - because I didn't want to play it on low quality, low resolution and 30 FPS when it should have updated to 4K 120FPS on PS5 to attract more players and newcomers and tie in the choices for Veilguard. Don't you think?
I really enjoyed DA: Origins but bounced off the sequels pretty quickly. This one seems better than 2 and 3 personally but still a little cartoony ig. You speaking so highly of these new characters has me compelled. I'm on the fence and might pick it up after I finish a few of my backlog rpgs but hoping it does well enough so we get a good Mass Effect 5.
Appreciate an honest review here. Personally, I can admit I WANTED this game to fail. I'm mad at bioware, and I hate how long this took. But I can respect that you played it and found it actually was pretty good. It's difficult as a critic to go against the tide, and it's clear from the comments here a lot of people are fussing at you for it. This review seems real and sincere. I'm honestly just surprised that the game wound up decent.
I always trusted your reviews, and your opinions as I felt you are just group of real gamers, but this time I feel like I can't disagree more with the reviewer. I am really curious what will be the path forward for the series. Will DA become this lighhearted fantasy sitcom for "everyone", or maybe it will get back to the roots someday? 😩
It's not even just that we grew up and DA didn't, more like DA actually went through reverse aging. DAtV doesn't have content that's anywhere near as dark as the previous entries in the series, especially DAO and DA2

There are plenty of factors that attributed to it, but I think it was mostly just the tone seeming more comic-book-ish. Honestly I think it was the character Varic (did I get that right? Anyway, figured I’d check this review to see how the overall game looked, but I think I’ve seen enough to say it’s not for me.
I don't dislike Varric, but I don't see the point in bringing specifically him back each time as such an important position, lore-wise at least.

Grow up.
Can't fool me on this one. pass.
Congrats you are the target audience! I hope you enjoy it
Played the first dragon age way back and dabbled in inquisition multiple times.
That's like taking Fortnite and making it gray/brown to attract new players...

Do you see in slow motion? 😂
That was jarring to you?
@@TheActionHank it's just very fake and disjointed. A lot of games like FF16, FF7 and GoW have had seamless transition from Cutscene to Gameplay for years now.
Thanks, NP. I feel bad for you that you have to put up with accusations of being shills or whatever for daring to enjoy a game and admit it publicly, knowing that it is the current target of the anti-'woke' mob's ire and rage.
Exactly it’s hard to like a game anymore
This sounds encouraging, but let's wait for more reviews from the general public.
I'll probably buy it for my mother cause she likes and still plays Kingdoms of Amalur, and this kinda feels the same.
Kingdoms of Amalur is such an under rated game.
Indeed. Pity the company closed after making it.
Love that one
With all the critiques out there, I feel like this game is objectively around an 8. But what's strange to me is how the reviews are all over. I know we should take user reviews with a grain of salt, but games like Astro Bot, Black Myth: Wukong, Metaphor: ReFantazio and FFVII: Rebirth all have user reviews largely in line with critics (obviously not in every single case). So I have to wonder what the divide is here? Is it a fan base desperately hoping it to be something it's not? Or are there really flaws people don't want to see, or can't see? is it the other way around?
Facts bro
People hate EA and Bio, any game they made will automatically -2points.
Every positive review is like I LOVED IT then is followed by millions of red flag criticisms… 🤨
How long is the game?
about 60 hours according to MortismalGaming
@@Yoni123 some other outlet said "80 hours if you do everything". but mortismal is a machine so there is that.
@@Yoni123 which means 100+ hours for any other common person: he isn't human anymore. 😀
IGN says 100+ hours. Pretty sure 100% will take more for most slow/ and thorough players
@@SlayerSeraph this is linear though so i don't think it will be 100+ 80 would be fair. reviewers also have to take notes and stuff that slows them down. Don't forget that bioware themselves said that it's between 40-100.
Here comes the people who haven’t played the game telling people who have played it that it’s bad
- Azario
@NowAndToEterni those 3 channels are spreading brain rot for the game without even playing it, well deserved.
Hypeeeee
Only thing im on the fence qbout is max level. In inquisition you get to max far too easily. Im hoping in this game you dont max out too quick.
My hobby is being a jerk."
I feel genuinely bad when somone realizes, for ANY reason, that the latest in a franchise they've previously enjoyed is not for them. (Ah, Death's Door, my heart still breaks that your keys weren't customixable, s an example.)
When it's something that is subjective, I would never dream of presuming others do or have to share my taste.
Strange, I’ve mostly seen a hate mob and nothing else. People who are excited for the game seem to mind their own business.
Definitely no BG3 in the writing department.
what a cool lookin Rook! and i cant wait to play! its gonna be so gay 💅😌
The idea the DA was ever consistent is baffling to me. I play like every play so yes I’ll play this too
My heart was already stolen by Morrigan(and Cassandra lol).
GOOD REVIEW! Thanks
I'll pass on this one. Bioware is finished
People to seem to either love or hate this game, I have no idea how to feel about
Very respectable review. I think people are kinda losing perspective a bit - reviews are subjective opinions. Am happy some people are genuinely enjoying the game and scoring it highly. I suppose there is a conversation around WHY people are giving it mega high scores. Still all v subjective!
Already preloaded. Cant wait!
Thanks for the vid
I understand the idea of putting political shit in your games, and im an ally, personally.
But this is way too fucking much.
Add a nonbinary character, add pansexuals - i dont care, but why the HELL is there large sections of the game based around this concept? This isnt why people play dragon age.
There was political messages in DA:O about racism but it wasnt shoved down your throat like this.
The actual gameplay looks good but i honestly hope this game flops, im so sick of games putting so much focus on modern woke shit and not just telling compelling stories.
Yeah, I think we need a conservative religious propaganda thing to balance things out.l
@@trollingisasport No, we need to tell stories that convey messages, not overtly messages that convey annoyance. Every DA before did this.
In a game that was initially named after him. wut
Also idk what you're talking about with the graphics, DAI still looks amazing. If they had literally copied that style exactly, nobody would be saying anything. But you can't honestly tell me you like the Dreamworks Qunari we've got over the ones in DAI lol. Varric and Harding look good but everyone else looks like they've been put through an instagram filter with high bloom
Every game has its problems but this one seems to have A LOT
Doraiiiiinnnnnn!! Oh how much I missed his face. I wished he would look a bit cooler

Looks better than that trailer I saw.
Looking forward to playing Greedfall 2!
Is it on switch too?? I d love it. There s not enough fantasy game on it.
Could come for the Switch 2 if its as powerful as the rumours claim with the DLSS support for the console.
@AsmonfoldFoldingToYourOpin-u9k is it gonna be that powerful ? Like ps4 level or more u think?
/cheers
@AsmonfoldFoldingToYourOpin-u9k oh...i m not surprised. But i was kinda hoping switch wld become like the lenovo go or asus rog ally. They re handheld too but u can play the latest games on em, right? Anyway it s still better than what we have now i guess.😅 Thanks for ur answer!👍😊
Main reason why I'm not getting it day one is because I'm in the middle of da origins. Might wait for sale tho

By most people you mean most people that dindn't acually play it
@AgentLemmon other reviwers whose opinion i respect also i mean. Some of them complained they didnt get a review code also but since the game came out they dropped their reviews. They all seem to agree that the game isnt all that great but idk.
Who should we believe?
Yourself, and your own eyes. What are you looking for in a game? Does the faster combat draw you in or piss you off? Is the art style a welcome change, neutral, or an eye sore. Have any of the companions made you curious? Are you eager to try the CC and make a character? Do you like the way the mission structure or puzzles work for this?
There's tons of useful out there if you're willing to watch different videos and narrow down your own tastes. Or you could just wait a while and get it on a big juicy sale, ideally on Steam so you get to try for two hours.
That's a hard pass. Looks deep as a puddle.
Which action RPG are deep as ocean? God of war?
Why is anyone surprised in any way?
Dragon Age only has a single fantastic game and a pair of mediocre sequels. Why would you ever expect that they could run it back when everyone who made Origins great are long gone?

What you say. Though as a german, having seen the german pronouns (well, the neutral ones), are actually feeling off. For example we have the german word for politician= Politiker. This becomes Politikere which would maybe be something like Politicany or Politicianey. This Idiot -> Dieser Idiot becomes Diesey Idiote which would maybe be That Idiotey or whatever (Sorry, no professor of any language xD). Neutral pronouns in english (They/Them) just feel more natural to me then their german counterparts. But afaik they keep it limited to certain characters which is totally fine for me.

Awesome! Just awesome. Love to hear it.
FF XVI still feels like an FF and it is not different from FF XV.
Bla bla bla ….😂
They call themselves inclusive, but are the most exclusive racists running amok these days. This game is not for normal people.

Im excited about this game. I think it looks great! Ive been waiting for a Dragon Age that had faster combat and was more like an action rpg.
WTF is that? The world of female freaks? The movement animation wtf... Just play DA 1...
Why wanting a game to fell in the first place? I don't get it. Personnally, I just want every games to be a joy. Happy gaming!
Edit: fail not fell...
@@jfbarabe6785 That's the spirit!
Ye noisy tards giving EVERY game 8+ is definition of going against tide 😂
I always trusted your reviews, and your opinions as I felt you are just group of real gamers, but this time I feel like I can't disagree more with the reviewer. I am really curious what will be the path forward for the series. Will DA become this lighhearted fantasy sitcom for "everyone", or maybe it will get back to the roots someday? 😩
id say this franchise is done. Next DragAge is a EA mobile game. Look what they did to Dungeon Keeper and Command & Conquer. Ded
Jesus you just runined the whole ending of Dragon Age 3 for me... thanks.
We grew up with Dragon Age. The problem is, we grew up, the game didn't. We wanted an adult mature game, this looks like it was made for teenagers.
"Get off my lawn" take of the week
This is an M rated adult game. The places with the blight are full of corpses, gore, and like giant puss bubbles coming out of the ground
@@AngloHawk I don't even like this game and I think that your take is just completely out of touch.
It's not even just that we grew up and DA didn't, more like DA actually went through reverse aging. DAtV doesn't have content that's anywhere near as dark as the previous entries in the series, especially DAO and DA2
@@1wayroad935 that's ok, we don't need to agree, that's the great thing about opinions, I have mine, you have yours, not even any common ground in this case ans that's ok !
I just want to play so that I can end Taash. Is that possible in this game?
I don't know after hearing Fextralife and Skill Up these reviews sound so fishy lmao.
Have you ever considered that fextralife's and skill up's reviews might be the fishy ones? Why must only the positive reviews be the fishy ones? Looks like confirmation bias to me
Ima be 100% I hate skill up because he literally is a shill. But I been watching ALL dragon age previews and reviews and this game honestly feels Too WOKE but good gameplay....like I skip cutscense so it's cool
@@kabob4636 How? They literally showed us examples of the game and direct gameplay from both combat to cutscenes that connected to their criticisms. Meanwhile all these glowingly positive reviews almost show nothing of context, just flashy explosion gameplay, in the background.
