Goodie's "Unauthentic" Reading IChing - #7 The Army (Lines)
This hexagram talks about preparing for a system. It is one thing for a single person to do his or her job, but completely another for many people collaborating on one task.
Each line in this hexagram tells a different aspect of the situation, but I want to focus on the fifth line of this hexagram here, which talks about the delegation of power and responsibility.
You cannot do everything alone, and so you need other people to fulfill your target. You make those people to do different parts of your job, and you expect them to accomplish those tasks just as expected. Well.. it's not really the case. If they were robots or computer programs, it may be possible; but since we are dealing with people who have their own needs and desires, you cannot control each and every movement of them as you wish. The more you try to control their work, the less you may get out of them.
Therefore, it is important to assign the work to the right people and to provide motivation to them with a grand vision that they can relate to.
