You asked if any of us ever made a recipe using a strange ingredient. I have a home-built smoker, and years ago I experimented with peanuts as a smoking fuel. I used whole peanuts, shells and all, which I crushed before putting into the smoker. The flavor was really good, and it created a pronounced smoke ring (which I suspect was due to nitrogen in the peanut proteins). I haven't heard of anyone else using peanuts for smoking.
Easy birthday cake: one cake mix and one 12 ounce can of anything carbonated. be it fizzy beer or wine or soda. I personally like to do this with a lemon supreme cake mix and a blueberry soda. easy frosting: whipped cream and powdered sugar, a pinch of salt and some melted chocolate folded into the whole thing to make it a cohesive topping. my family members ask me to make cakes for them all the time because theyre so moist and tasty and flavorful. once the batter is mixed you pretty much just follow the instructions on the box.

Hello 👋 how are you doing
You should do easy bake oven recipes! ❤️
Great video, Emmy! This is fascinating! Have you ever made a vanilla wafer cake? It's similar in that it uses crushed vanilla wafers to replace the flour, but there's nothing like Eno in it.
Gonna make myself one cake outta gluten free cookies and see if it works 🙂🙂🙂
Yes, the touching-the-glasses thing after EVERY bite (save for one in the very end) - adorable. They make cosmetic tape, like the kind Bette Davis and vintage movie stars used under their wigs to strrretch their faces and eyes out to look younger. A strip of that strategically placed on the face under the glasses on each cheek might help with this, and, knowing Emmy, she'd find a super cute kind with like a bee pattern on it or something. :)
That door slightly open is distracting. Lol.
This cookie cake is freaking me out. It seems too good to be true. :)
Love the sciencey explanation on why the antacid works. :D
You definitely won’t get heartburn from eating it
edit: I love all your videos, don’t miss a single one! ✨
Hello 👋 how are you doing
My dear sweet Emmy it’s so obvious how much joy you get when you’re explaining The science behind why things work the way they do. And I’m wondering why you didn’t become a scientist? But I’m so happy you didn’t because then we wouldn’t have you here on social media😘👩🏻⚕️🔬 I’m coming to think of it you might have been a food critic as well but maybe you were and then you decided to be a Mom❤️
🥰 It’s easier being a dilettante. 😉 But seriously, the answer is complicated. Maybe something to talk about on a Q & A or podcast....
Hi Emmy. Great try. You should have baked and steamed both the cakes to really differentiate the taste and texture. Pls try baking and steaming both and give us an update. Thanks
Emmymadeinjapan AND cookingshooking? My two fave channels together??? Awesome!
"Moist, tight crumb" is my new Tinder bio lol

You’re really taking over my feed lol keep up the hard work, it is recognized and greatly appreciated. Sending love and positive energy your way. God bless
As someone who has acid reflux constantly..... I must say I was triggered by the title😁😁😁😁
Can't wait to see how such a thing works on a cake😁
Eno is just baking soda and citric acid, which already goes into a lot of cakes.
as a person who has GERD, I got low key excited at the idea of a cake relieving my acid. :p
Same here. I got a good case of acid reflux after a surgery 6 years ago. I take meds every night to combat the reflux. For those who have never had it, it's like having heart burn on steroids. It takes your breath away.
Nexium is your friend. Give it a try.
Get the surgery for it. It's hell at first, but well worth it.
I've never seen such a bottle/tub thing of Eno. In South Africa we have the sachets. I like the lemon flavor. Kinda sour and makes bubbles in your mouth. Very fun to eat
In jail you can make cake like this cookies and a bit of Pepsi.
how do you cook it?

11:10 Perhaps the difference in density is due to the difference in ph of the two different cookies. Such a simple ingredient list and process, these would work well as glamping dessert options.
right up there with Crisco ice cream.. when healthy isn't your main priority
Hello 👋 how are you doing
You asked if any of us ever made a recipe using a strange ingredient. I have a home-built smoker, and years ago I experimented with peanuts as a smoking fuel. I used whole peanuts, shells and all, which I crushed before putting into the smoker. The flavor was really good, and it created a pronounced smoke ring (which I suspect was due to nitrogen in the peanut proteins). I haven't heard of anyone else using peanuts for smoking.
New pet hockey mom? Wow, captions are getting crazy when trying to translate Japanese 😂
Bourbon biscuits are pronounced boar-bon, they were named after a European noble dynasty.
I think the liquor was as well! Don't ask me why, though. Indirect French influence in the American South, I guess?
Aha I was looking to see if any one said it before I did :) great to dip in your brew
This one is a REALLY A COOL TUTORIAL, EMMY!!! I love it and cannot wait to try this recipe. It is weird and surprising. It makes 100% sense after You explained what the antacid ingredients are and how they work in a cake. I cannot wait to try this one out on My Family.
Thank You again, Emmy for taking One for the Team; and trying out another weird sounding recipe. 😊😜😀👍🏼
I love Your videos.
In the UK we pronounce Bourbon biscuits ‘boorbon. The way you pronounced it how we pronounce the alcohol.
Awesome recipe. The best thing for me is that cookies store far longer than cake, so this way you can have both, with extended storage!
