Pile 2. This reading is so timely. I went no contact with my mother 2 years ago and eventually went no contact with my entire family and all my old friends from back in the day. You really captured the feeling with that phrase “you’re sick of them.” I really was. Even in my baby pictures you can see it in my eyes 😂. I just came to the realization yesterday that I’m finally free from the emotional turmoil that resulted from being around such toxic people. I never felt like I belonged there with them. Im a Chef working in Egypt. It was great, then not. I started a job that turned out to be terrible. awful working conditions etc. Then my 'friend' robbed me of 10K euro cash, the job wouldn't pay me. I got sick, didn't know why, it turns out the place I was staying was using tap water disguised as bottle. F. THIS. I hopped on a plane to Cairo and ended up in a shit room next to where they keep the animals at night. Yeah, not so many but a few very annoying people who I was nothing but loving to in the beginning. I had a lot of patience with them, but honestly I had to start thinking about myself. I don't know how I lost sight of myself as number one until I self-sacrificed for completely the wrong crowd. Never again.
