- Binance founder Changpeng “CZ” Zhao will face his sentencing hearing on Tuesday after a guilty plea to violating anti-money laundering laws. The US Department of Justice has recommended a 36-month prison sentence for the former chief executive officer of the world’s largest crypto exchange. Cz is smart, what is 4 month in prison in comparison to what he gained?
I believe that CZ was convicted of creating a system that allowed " money laundering". I do not think that there is any evidence that CZ personally laundered money or even knew that there was money laundering. To suggest that CZ needed to launder money is absurd on its face. CZ was (and still is) a danger the corrupt system of fiat currency. Whether or not this played a part in all this is the obvious question.
