- In this video i will be restoring 2 vintage rusty sash clamps. One clamp is a Record and the other is Marples. I could have done more work to pretty these clamps up however they are meant for work not show. These clamps will make a good edition to my workshop.
Please leave you thoughts in the comment section.
Nice work. I have some old Jorgenson clamps similar to these that are about in the same condition as these were. I haven't decided if they're worth restoring. If I do them I'll just hit them with the vinegar and wire wheel, tape off the bare metal, and rattlecan the orange bits.
Another fantastic job love the red I have a lot of the blue record great video thanks 🍺🍺👍👍👍👍
Hi! You do some great and really cool work! Keep it up! I myself have a dream of working with old tools, but just for fun. But I’m curious: what camera are you using? And (this is only my ocd speaking) why don’t you paint the letters or markings on your videos? Thanks!
Thank you. I used an iPhone 6 to film this.
Super tare
Why is your vinegar tank a Menzies box?
What paint did you use?
Blackfriars enamel paint
Actually, the blue is hammerite smooth blue. The red is Blackfriars enamel.
My tiny Workshop
I asked this on another video. Thanks for answering!!!
soaking thm in water was just a waste of time. Vinigar wouldnhave had them looking brand new...without touching with a grinding wheel. Im doing 60 Bessey tg clamps rigth now.
Ospho is better-
wow man getting more resourceful every week. Awesome vid!
definitely some "thank god i have them on the rare chance i need them but mostly wall decoration" tools.
Not the best you should of just left them alone in their original condition it's too late now.
Yet another superb restoration, I really like how you take you time and do the job right.
Hi 👋 very good restoration bro 👍👍👍
