Paperback or Hardback is the hardest choice ever. Paper back are cheaper and easier to read from but also easier to damage. But hardback are hard to damage and harder to read from but look prettier. But what if I spend my money on the hardback and then I end up hating the book, that's precious money wasted that could have been used for an amazing hardback book...

Same I wanna support independent book stores but hardcovers are like 30 dollars but on amazon it’s like 17 dollars!

This whole video had me going "me!!!" the entire time. The things I related to the most were "can I get this book with a different cover because yikes", "if it's a floppy paperback I'm running right to the cash register", and "they only have the movie edition?!" I relate so hard

That is just like me when buying books! Oh the horror, the torment of buying a new book (or several). For me, it's a go-by-myself kind of job, because whenever my boyfriend is with me, he tries to hurry me or says something like "really? another book?don't you have enough" and I don't need that kind of negativity when I'm book shopping!
In the months I cannot afford to buy books, I just put them in my goodreads "to read" list, so there I am at the supermarket (they have a library section) or at some other place, just passing the bar code, so I don't forget to buy it. I am trying to read more on my tablet, but who can resist that new book smell!?

It's always a struggle deciding between paper back and hard cover . . . yet I always convince myself that hardcovers are worth the extra money because they look so much better on my shelf

I wish I could have some of the options you have though. In portugal the majority of books are only printed in paperback and as soon as a movie or series comes out about the book, they take the previous cover off print and replace it. Even if it means leaving the other books in the series diferent. :( That was what happend to Miss Peregrine's.

When I already have a book but I discover a different edition with a new cover I like better.... seriously I was so close to buying a second copy of Carry On just to get at that sweet, sweet new cover.
YES THIS IS ME THANK YOU. especially with the different editions of books. My solution is just buying them all which means I end up broke with three copies of the same book but it's still worth it

The way I buy books is that I watch you and other book-tubers and whatever they say I go of of that (I almost always go for hard cover but I also get some paperback books if that's all the book store has)

I buy second hand books a lot. I like books that have already been loved haha. Also paperbacks! Hardcover books are annoying because they are hard to hold while reading and I have to take off the sleeve/cover. Unless it's a book I already read and love, then I'll get the hardcover.
I have to say that I sometimes sit in the bookshop with 10 books around me trying to pick the one that I'm going to choose and I end up with 10 because I can't choose!

I wish I knew about the damage to my Six of crows books, My Six of Crows copy whenI removed the cover because I wanted to see the hardback, a corner was a little, ripped and sticking out. Then for Crooked Kingdom, after picking it up I noticed a slight tear at the top of the front cover. Why?!? Hence why from now on I'm going to inspect my books thoroughly
